The Effect of Knowledge Gathering and Sharing Behavior on the Relationship Between Job Autonomy and Innovative Behavior of Librarians of Ahvaz University Libraries
Objective: Job characteristics, including job autonomy, can significantly impact various work-related and behavioral outcomes for an organization’s employees. These outcomes encompass creativity within the work environment, as well as knowledge-related behaviors such as knowledge gathering, knowledge sharing, and innovation. On one hand, job independence provides the conditions necessary for the emergence of knowledge-related behaviors. On the other hand, it can also serve as a catalyst for innovation and innovative behaviors through knowledge behaviors. The primary objective of this study is to explore the role of knowledge gathering and sharing behaviors in the relationship between job autonomy and innovative behavior of librarians of Ahvaz universities.
Methodology: This study employed an applied research approach, using an analytical survey method. The statistical population of the research consisted of all librarians working in university libraries in Ahvaz in Iran. To determine the sample size, Morgan’s table was used. Given that the total number of librarians exceeded 120 individuals, a sample size of 92 respondents completed the questionnaires. The research data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation method and structural equation modeling (SEM) in SmartPLS and SPSS.
Findings: The research results indicate that knowledge gathering behavior has an effect on the relationship between job autonomy and innovative behavior of librarians of the university libraries of Ahvaz (ᵦ = 0.39). In addition, knowledge sharing behavior has an effect on the relationship between job autonomy and innovative behavior of the university libraries in Ahvaz (ᵦ = 0.42).
Conclusion: Giving special attention to human resources as the primary factor in knowledge gathering and sharing, job autonomy, and innovative behavior plays an important role in the development of the knowledge-sharing process and enhancing organizational empowerment in terms of discovering the hidden knowledge held by individuals. The study results highlight the significance of employee job independence across various dimensions: criteria, methods, and schedules. Such independence provides a valuable opportunity for employees to go beyond rigid procedures in their work, actively seeking to learn and share insights with their colleagues. Ultimately, this article aims to offer practical recommendations for achieving organizational goals within university libraries. According to the results, it is suggested that: Employees of university libraries and academic librarians should be encouraged to acquire knowledge and develop essential skills. This empowerment not only enriches their work but also opens up possibilities for innovative behaviors within their job responsibilities. Also, the independence of employees should be taken into consideration. Specifically, employees should be granted discretion and relative freedom when making decisions related to criteria, methods, and timing in performing their duties. This autonomy provides an opportunity for them to leverage their knowledge capacities and introduce new ideas and innovative behaviors within the context of the autonomy granted. By implementing these recommendations, organizations can foster a culture of continuous learning, creativity, and innovation among their library staff

Neuromarketing, Big Data e IA: La ciencia detrás del deseo de compra.
This report investigates the phenomenon of purchase desire through the lens of neuromarketing, a discipline that merges neuroscience and psychology to uncover how consumers make decisions. Neuromarketing is defined as the analysis of brain responses to marketing stimuli, highlighting its ability to shape consumer behavior and preferences. The report examines the brain processes involved in decision-making, identifying key areas such as the prefrontal cortex, responsible for planning and reasoning; the limbic system, which regulates emotions; and the reptilian brain, which controls basic instincts. These findings demonstrate that purchasing decisions are predominantly emotional rather than rational, challenging the traditional notion that consumers act logically.
The report also explores the intersection of neuromarketing and emerging technologies such as Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI). It discusses how these tools enable companies to personalize their marketing strategies by analyzing behavior patterns and individual preferences, thereby intensifying the desire to purchase by emotionally resonating with consumers. Furthermore, the ethical implications of neuromarketing are addressed, emphasizing the need for responsible practices that respect consumer privacy. In an environment where emotional manipulation can be effective, it is crucial to establish a balance between persuasion and ethics
Entre homens e livros: a Biblioteca do Itamaraty na gestão do José Maria da Silva Paranhos Júnior (Barão do Rio Branco), 1902-1912
The article presents the first results of an investigation carried out within the scope of the Research Group on Documentary Heritage; it is also the fruit of intense debate between the authors. The theme is the Itamaraty Historical Library, located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and linked to the current Ministry of Foreign Affairs. For this kind of what Matthew Battles called "Bibiography of a Library", when studying the "Widener Library" (2004), the aim was to understand and problematise, through documental resources, the context of creation in 1842. Reading and analysing the sources revealed the importance of certain collections considered to be foundational, due to the instrumental force they gave to the interests of the Ministry itself, as well as the chronological cut-off point for this work, i.e. 1902 and 1912. As Gabriel Naudé (1600-1653) once said, a library without organization and a purpose for its collection is a mere collection of books. Based on this premise, we conclude that during the period selected for this study, thanks to the forms of management devised by José Maria da Silva Paranhos Júnior, Baron of Rio Branco, books in the Itamaraty Historical Library became instruments that would subsidies’ the chancellery's decision-making processes, as well as acquiring a face associated with an information unit
Interfaces entre a mediação da informação e competência comunicativa: considerações teóricas sob uma perspectiva crítica
This paper discusses the interrelationship between two essential concepts: information mediation and communicative competence. It emphasizes that information mediation, when viewed as a learning process, plays a significant role in promoting communicative competence and facilitating collaboration between information professionals and informational subjects. The research conducted in this context is of a qualitative and theoretical nature, employing bibliographic research as the methodological approach of the reconstructive method. The text is based on authors specialized in the field of information mediation, such as Almeida Júnior (2009, 2015, 2018), who explores concepts such as information appropriation and proto-information, and González de Goméz (2003), who investigates information action. In addition, the text incorporates the contributions of Habermas (1980, 1987, 1989, 1990,1997, 2009), whose theories on communicative competence and communicative reasons are widely recognized. The research results emphasize theoretical perspectives that highlight the empowerment of individuals through the construction of discourse, dialogue, and solid justifications. This implies that information mediation can empower people, allowing them to participate in well-informed and well-founded discussions. The connections between information mediation and communicative competence become evident through the process of interaction and interpretation. This means that effective communication is not limited to mere information transmission; it also involves mutual understanding and proper interpretation of messages. The text highlights the importance of cultural influences in building the information and communication environment in social contexts, focusing on the informational environment. In summary, the text argues that information mediation plays a fundamental role in the development of communicative competence and in the promotion of individual emancipation. Furthermore, it suggests that future research should explore the relationships between communicative and informational approaches, both in the theoretical (epistemological) and practical (praxiological) levels, in order to enhance information mediation, making it more critical and effective
