Get PDF論文ARTICLE現代スペイン語において文法的性が揺れている名詞は、不定性名詞（género ambiguo）と呼ばれている。その不定性名詞の１つに azúcar がある。azúcar はアラビア語起源であるのだが、azúcar 以外にも、アラビア語起源の単語が目についた。本稿では、アラビア語起源語における文法的性を扱う。アラビア語の男性名詞／女性名詞の対立は、生物学的性のほか、集合名詞／個別名詞の対立も示すが、スペイン語に入ったアラビア語起源語でもその対立は残している。例えば、aceite「油」は集合名詞で男性名詞である。一方、aceituna「オリーブの実」は個別名詞で女性名詞である。なお、アラビア語では男性名詞であったものが、ハコモノの場合、スペイン語では女性名詞になる。アラビア語で本来女性名詞であった café と sofá は、スペイン語では外来語としての意識が働いて男性名詞となったと考えられる。departmental bulletin pape
Group Research Projects on Local Historical Sites : An Analysis of Student Outcomes
Get PDF教育研究報告EDUCATIONAL RESEARCH AND REPORTThis educational research & report article discusses the author’s recent implementation of a new assessment in the teaching of his“ History of Modern Japan” course. This assessment is a group research project which requires small groups of students to visit and research about a local historical site. The article explains the rationale for creating this project, what the project involves in terms of student work, and initial anonymous feedback from students on what they have learned from the process. The author argues that this type of research promotes experiential learning and can support Howard Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences. This type of project also can help students to better make connections with students in their class and with the local community. Given the university campus’s proximity to countless historical sites in the Kansai region, this project can be implemented relatively easily. This report also includes the author’s reflections thus far on implementation of the group research project.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF論文ARTICLE本稿は20世紀スコットランドの小説家 Lewis Grassic Gibbon の A Scots Quair を扱い、ヒロイン Chris の性的な発達過程を香りというモチーフとともに読み解く試みである。まず、Chris の性的な目覚めの様子をジプシーや見知らぬ男、父親との関わりの中に現れる嗅覚の描写をもとに概観する。ここでは、経験の乏しさから性の魅力と恐怖が拮抗する。そして、結婚に結実する性的な成熟を迎えると、Chris は特にスイカズラの香りを通して、夫 Ewan や婚外交渉の相手 Rob との関係を意識する。最後に、出産の経験をどのように Chris が嗅覚的に捉えているか簡潔に見る。興味深いことに、少女の時、Chris は母 Jean の出産の際に嗅覚的な恐怖を感じていたが、自分自身の出産の際には嗅覚へ意識を向けることさえない。香りのモチーフに注意を向けることで、ヒロインの性的な発達の過程が見て取れるだけでなく、その際の感情の有り様までが覗えるのである。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF論文ARTICLE現代日本の人々の安全に直結する枢要な課題である防災について、ある課題が安全保障上の問題として立ち現れる過程を言語哲学における言語行為論の観点から析出するコペンハーゲン学派の「安全保障化（securitization）」理論に基づき考察する。安全保障化論の主要な先行研究では、自然災害の脅威について、環境安全保障の対象に含まれると議論されているが中心的な研究課題として設定されてきたとは言い難い。しかし、安全保障研究とは異なる学問領域である災害情報論の研究では、防災や減災のあり方について言語行為論を基軸とする分析のアプローチが提起されている。異分野の先行研究をふまえ、本稿では、コペンハーゲン学派の安全保障化理論によって「南海トラフ地震臨時情報」の事例を分析する可能性を試論的に示すことで、言語行為としての安全保障化論から災害情報を考察する意義と示唆について議論する。departmental bulletin pape
Exploring Global Citizenship in English Language Teaching : Insights from Undergraduate Students in Japan
Get PDF論文ARTICLEWith English having the largest number of speakers worldwide, the integration of global citizenship education (GCE) into English Language Teaching (ELT) was inevitable. By testing students’ beliefs and values, GCE enhances their critical thinking, cultural sensitivity, social accountability, and linguistic proficiency, giving them confidence to weigh in on worldly topics. With this in mind, a brand-new global issues and current events course was built using a global citizenship framework as part of a newly launched Global Engagement Program at Kansai Gaidai University. Through a qualitative analysis of student feedback gathered via an end-ofcourse survey, this case study examines 70 undergraduate students’ perspectives on the very first implementation of the course, indicating positive perceptions of course design, materials, assessments, and the instructor’s approach. Results also support content and language integrated learning (CLIL) as effective in GCE. The study concludes by advocating for GCE as a transformative approach in ELT.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF論文ARTICLE本研究は、内生的な離婚選択モデルを用いて、年金分割制度が離婚率、貯蓄率、離婚後の消費行動に与える影響を分析したものである。シミュレーション分析の結果、年金分割制度が離婚率を上昇させ、貯蓄率の低下を引き起こすことが明らかになった。また、年金分割制度により、離婚後の女性の消費量が増加し、男性の消費量が減少することも確認された。このように、年金分割制度は男女間の離婚後の経済的格差を縮小し、特に女性に有利に働く一方で、男性にとっては離婚がしやすくなる可能性があることが示された。departmental bulletin pape
