VoltPilot: a tool for calculating the optimal route for electric vehicles

Sin embargo, las aplicaciones móviles, tanto las nativas asociadas a estos vehículos como las desarrolladas por terceros, aunque cumplen con su propósito y ofrecen funcionalidades útiles, no son lo suficientemente completas en términos de servicios y, en muchos casos, no brindan una experiencia de usuario intuitiva ni personalizada.
Por ello, nuestra aplicación Voltpilot, tiene como enfoque principal facilitar la planificación de rutas óptimas según las preferencias del usuario, localizar estaciones de carga en tiempo real y muchas otras funcionalidades. VoltPilot llega para resolver y complementar las aplicaciones existentes en el mercado actual que ofrecen servicios similares.
Como resultado de este TFG, obtendremos una aplicación móvil que proporcionará a los usuarios una experiencia intuitiva y completa. Además, se podrá ampliar fácilmente su funcionalidad en el futuro, adaptándose a nuevas necesidades o características.Currently, the accelerated transition to electric vehicles has marked a significant milestone in our daily lives. However, mobile applications, both the native ones associated with these vehicles and those developed by third parties, while fulfilling their purpose and offering useful functionalities, are not sufficiently comprehensive in terms of services and, in many cases, fail to provide an intuitive or personalized user experience.
Therefore, our application, VoltPilot, is primarily focused on facilitating the planning of optimal routes according to user preferences, locating charging stations in real time, and offering many other features. VoltPilot aims to address and complement the existing applications in today’s market that offer similar services.
Upon completion of this project, we will obtain a mobile application that will provide users with an intuitive and complete experience. Triviality and solipsism: two problems in the metaontology of art and a goodmanian solution

In this paper, I argue that none of them provide an adequate methodology for the ontology of artworks insofar as they do not secure ontological accounts to play a substantive role in improving our understanding of artworks and the practices they involve. Thomasson’s descriptivism faces a problem of triviality, unjustifiably reducing art ontology to a trivial task. In turn, Dodd’s revisionary approach faces a problem of solipsism, being a methodology that does not ensure conceptual mediation between the ontology of art and artistic practices. Phenological description of Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle using the BBCH-scale: Groundwork for developing strategies to control invasive species and mitigate potential allergy risks
Alien species pose a growing threat to biodiversity and ecosystems due to their capacity to establish and proliferate beyond their native ranges. Among them, Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle ranks among the most concerning species globally, especially across the Mediterranean basin, where its spread continues to intensify. Native to China and northern Vietnam, this tree has been widely introduced for ornamental purposes. Its invasive success facilitates the displacement of native flora, disruption of ecological processes, and significant impacts on public health due to its allergenic potential, including in urban areas. This study applies the BBCH-scale to describe the full phenological cycle of a population in Cuenca (Spain). A total of 20 adult individuals were monitored (10 males and 10 females) leading to identify 8 of the 10 main BBCH-scale stages and 41 secondary stages, covering the entire cycle from bud emergence to leaf senescence, while linear interpolation was used for the temporal analysis of stage duration. Additionally, statistical comparisons between sexes were conducted using one-way ANOVA with post-hoc Tukey HSD test, while Pearson’s correlation analysis assessed to correlate these patterns with meteorological conditions, highlighting the influence of key meteorological variables (temperature, relative humidity, insolation and precipitation) on phenophase timing. Food group intake and Mediterranean Diet adherence among a representative sample of Spanish middle-aged and older adults. Are we still on track? The HERMEX study.
Background and aim: To explore food group intake and adherence to the Mediterranean Diet (MD) in a representative sample of 2833 middle-aged and older adults from the HERMEX study.
Methods and results: This cross-sectional study utilized a food frequency questionnaire to assess food group intake and measured MD adherence using the MD Score. Sociodemographic, anthropometric, and clinical characteristics were also analyzed. Among participants, 74 % were living with overweight or obesity, 69.9 % were non-smokers, and 88 % showed medium-high adherence to the MD. Compared to the national dietary recommendations issued by the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN), 76 % had carbohydrate intake below recommended levels (average intake: 35.4 %), whereas 73.5 % consumed protein at 16.6 % of total energy intake. Only 2 % of participants adhered to the fat intake recommendation (<35 % of total energy). Consumption of fruits, vegetables, cereals, potatoes, and eggs was below recommendations, while intake of legumes, nuts, fish, seafood, and dairy met or nearly met the recommendations. Meat consumption exceeded recommendations. Macronutrient intake (carbohydrates, protein, fat, and fiber) was similar across BMI groups. However, participants with obesity consumed fewer nuts, whereas those with normal weight had a higher intake of red wine compared to individuals with overweight (p < 0.05). MD adherence was similar across BMI groups (34 points on a 0-55 scale).
Conclusions: Prevalence of overweight and obesity was high despite medium-high adherence to the MD. Design and simulation of neuromorphic systems through analog computing
Trabajo de Fin de Grado en Ingeniería Informática, Facultad Informática UCM, Dpto. de Arquitectura de Computadores y Automática, Curso 2024/2025Este trabajo presenta el diseño y verificación de un sistema neuromórfico mixto basado en el modelo de Izhikevich, empleando ́técnicas de verificación ́ formal y simulación electrónica. Se desarrolla un entorno simbólico en Python que permite representar circuitos hardware mediante restricciones lógicas, las cuales son verificadas automáticamente mediante el resolutor SMT Z3. Asimismo, se implementa un banco de pruebas hardware en Siemens PartQuest, que recorre de forma determinista el espacio de entradas para garantizar el cumplimiento funcional. La propuesta sigue los principios establecidos por los estándares DO-254 y DO-333, integrando la trazabilidad normativa, la validación funcional y la comprobación lógica en un mismo entorno. El trabajo demuestra la viabilidad de una metodología combinada basada en modelado simbólico, verificación automatizada y simulación exhaustiva
de hardware.This work presents the design and verification of a mixed neuromorphic system based on the Izhikevich model, using formal verification techniques and electronic simulation. A symbolic environment in Python is developed, allowing hardware circuits to be represented through logical constraints, which are automatically verified using the Z3 SMT solver.
Additionally, a hardware testbench is implemented in Siemens PartQuest, deterministically exploring the input space to ensure functional compliance. The proposed approach follows the principles of the DO-254 and DO-333 standards, integrating regulatory traceability, functional validation, and logical verification within a unified environment. Development of an application for the management and unification of medical databases
Trabajo de Fin de Grado en Ingeniería de Computadores, Facultad de Informática UCM, Departamento de Sistemas Informáticos y Computación, Curso 2024/2025.Este trabajo de Fin de Grado presenta el desarrollo de una aplicación para la unificación y gestión de bases de datos médicas relacionadas con trasplantes renales. La herramienta permite a los administradores de distintos hospitales importar sus propias bases de datos, independientemente del formato, y así consolidar la información en una base de datos unificada. Además, un mismo hospital puede añadir nuevos archivos que contengan información adicional sobre pacientes previamente registrados, lo que permite centralizar y acceder fácilmente a todos los datos disponibles.
La aplicación incorpora un sistema de consultas avanzadas que permite filtrar los datos mediante condiciones personalizables. Ofrece también la posibilidad de obtener estadísticas generales de la aplicación y base de datos unificada, y exportar tanto la base de datos completa como subconjuntos limitados por los resultados de las consultas.
Estas funcionalidades hacen de la herramienta una solución útil no solo para la gestión clínica, sino también para el análisis de datos y la investigación médica.This Bachelor's Thesis presents the development of an application for the unification and management of medical databases related to kidney transplants. The tool allows administrators from different hospitals to import their own databases, regardless of the format, and consolidate the information into a unified database.
Additionally, a single hospital can add new files containing further information about previously registered patients, enabling centralized and easy access to all available data. The application includes an advanced query system that allows data to be filtered using customizable conditions. It also offers the possibility to generate reports, obtain statistics and export both the complete database and subsets based on query results.

Correlation of HER2 levels expression through HER2 mRNA PCR vs immunohistochemistry (IHC) in hormone receptor positive (HR+)/HER2 negative (HER2−) early breast cancer
Purpose
To evaluate the correlation between HER2 expression levels measured by HER2 mRNA using Oncotype DX and by immunohistochemistry (IHC) in hormone receptor-positive (HR+) and HER2-negative (HER2−) early breast cancer. In addition, we assessed whether low HER2 expression is associated with distinct clinicopathological characteristics and prognosis in our series.
Methods
We conducted a retrospective study that included 500 patients diagnosed with stage I–III HR+/HER2− breast cancer who underwent surgery and had Oncotype DX recurrence score determined between 2009 and 2023 at Hospital Clínico San Carlos, Madrid, Spain. HER2 mRNA levels obtained through Oncotype DX were compared across IHC groups (HER2 0+, HER2 1+, HER2 2+/ISH-negative). Event-free survival (EFS) was analyzed according to HER2 expression.
Results
Although HER2 mRNA levels increased with higher IHC HER2 categories, variability and overlap were observed between subgroups. Median Oncotype DX recurrence scores also rose slightly across HER2 IHC groups but did not reach statistical significance. EFS did not differ between HER2 expression levels.
Conclusions
We found that HER2 mRNA measurement by Oncotype DX provides a quantitative approach to assess HER2 expression. However, its results overlap within traditional IHC categories. While HER2-low classification may have therapeutic implications for new antibody–drug conjugates, its prognostic relevance appears limited.
