Get PDFThe geo-political supremacy of the United States of America is under threat from the coalition of the BRICS countries. This coalition evolute from shrinking the American economy and design of a new world order. Several countries under the America imperialism complained over high loan rates, lack of infrastructures and exploitation of natural resources. Thes have caused unending shrinkage of their economies. Russia and China are now capitalizing on these loopholes. They have drawn closer to Africans and Asians economically than they have ever been. China is strongly attempting to displace the Americans from petrol-dollars. This in turn brings to table if the United States will accelerate and mend fences with their partners. It also draws to conclusion what can be done in this process. In this research work, I looked at the challenges faced by America in the current economic situation and how the BRICS are leveraging on this measure. But how long can America hold on to its supremacy, time will tell?

A macroeconomia do Social Desenvolvimentismo: um estudo da Rede Desenvolvimentista
Get PDFO presente artigo tem como unidade de análise o Social Desenvolvimentismo. A categoria de análise é sua macroeconomia. O estudo adotou como procedimento metodológico a abordagem sistemática por meio da seleção, do fichamento e da avaliação crítica de dados bibliográficos que formam o arcabouço teórico do Social Desenvolvimentismo, sobretudo os estudos da Rede Desenvolvimentista (Rede D). O artigo foi dividido em duas seções; a primeira apresenta uma breve história da edificação da escola e da operacionalização conceitual do Social Desenvolvimentismo; a segunda seção concentra-se em elucidar a macroeconomia do Social Desenvolvimento. Os resultados da pesquisa são que o Social Desenvolvimentismo resgata o caráter político na macroeconomia ao defender um modelo de política e de regime macroeconômico mais adaptável e menos engessado, no entanto sem enveredar para “aventuras” ou “populismos”. O modelo, assim, contribui para o amadurecimento do debate desenvolvimentista no Brasil atualmente

First Approximation of Population Distributions on the International Space Station
Get PDFThis paper presents an analysis of data derived from thousands of publicly available photographs showing life on the International Space Station (ISS) between 2000 and 2020. Our analysis uses crew and locational information from the photographs’ metadata to identify the distribution of different population groups—by gender, nationality, and space agency affiliation—across modules of the ISS, for the first time. Given the significance of the ISS as the most intensively inhabited space habitat to date, an international cooperative initiative involving 26 countries and five space agencies, and one of the most expensive building projects ever undertaken by humans, developing an understanding of which people are using different parts of the space station is critical for future usage of this and other stations. This study also sheds light on problems faced by future space station designers who are concerned with optimal usage of their habitats.
