Hoy en día la agricultura es muy importante a nivel mundial, esta práctica se la tiene ya por
décadas y gracias a la tecnología se la puede estudiar de manera mucho más avanzada; en
este punto la persona que estudia mucho más allá de lo ancestral en la agricultura se lo
denomina ingeniero agrónomo. Este ingeniero juega un papel muy importante en este
campo; se encarga de la selección y planificación del uso de la maquinaria y equipo
agropecuario para que de esa manera su uso y eficiencia no afecten de manera negativa a
los recursos naturales que dispongan, ¿Es lo mismo los conocimientos de un ingeniero
agrónomo y de un obrero capacitado en el campo de la agricultura

IQRA Pilots
We will test and revise a newly developed reading and MSA oral grammar curriculum for young students in a small pilot study. The curriculum, called ”Iqra”, derived from the Arabic word for “reading”, was developed in 2017 by the Al Qasimi Foundation of Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It consists of two components: 1) a reading curriculum focused on phonics (Abadzi 2014) and lettername/sounds knowledge (Foulin 2005); and 2) an oral language curriculum focused on the features used in early-grade Arabictextbooks. The curriculum explicitly trains on verb conjugations and other features that differ from the vernaculars (Abadzi,2018). Reading and language are influenced by different functional networks and may benefit from targeted practice. Documents relating to two phases of the project are posted here. History, Haunting through the Layers in Contemporary Staged Ghost Stories
Recent British productions of ghost story theatre have embraced the layering of present onto past. Danny Robins’s 2:22 A Ghost Story demonstrates the haunting of class through gentrification of an East End house through the layers of wallpaper, paint and brickwork in its stage set, but these layers are equally available in its characters, both working and upper-middle class. Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson’s Ghost Stories features haunted individuals examined and deconstructed by a man stuck in his own repeating memories, hiding in the layers of his own narrative. Although both productions feature ‘real’ ghosts, their characters are more materially haunted by personal history – their family’s class, their upbringing, the way they behaved as children. Through examination of staging, textual analysis of the scripts, and interviews with the authors, this article shows how layers of history and memory are intrinsic to the performance of ghosts in the 21st century
REDUCTION OF HIGH COLOR, HUMIC SUBSTANCES, TURBIDITY, COLIFORM BACTERIA, THMMFP, UV ABSORBANCE, CYSTS, CHLORINE DEMAND, AND METALS FROM UNPREDICTABLE WATER SOURCE BY DISSOLVED AIR FLOTATION AND FILTRATION
This publication documents: (a) the dissolved air flotation and filtration (DAFF) process; (b) the Drinking Water Standards and water quality goals; (c) standards for raw water sources; (d) the procedure for determination of the trihalomethane maximum formation potential (THMMFP), (e) the alternatives of treating an unpredictable water supply source, (f) the filter backwash wastewater recycle and total chemical sludge recycle technology, (g) the glossary of drinking water quality parameters, and (h) a 4-months DAFF research for treatment of an unpredictable water supply source. The raw water had wide ranges of color (25-90 CU), humic substances (1.5-9.6 mg/l), turbidity (1.08-14.2 NTU), coliform bacteria (1 to TNTC #/100 ml), THMMFP (127 to 683 ppb), UV absorbance (0.13 to 0.28 UV), cysts-size microscopic count (410 to 34623 #/ml), chlorine demand (2 to 2.5 mg/l), lead (0.038 mg/l), and pH (6.4-7.5 units). Under the government supervision, a continuous DAFF plant was operated at 100 gpm flow for treating the above raw water using alum, sodium aluminate, and polymer for 4 months. The DAFF effluent met the all drinking water standards, and the plant performance in terms of impurity percent removals was excellent: color (93%), humic substances (80%), turbidity (93%), coliform bacteria (99%), THMMFP (82%), UV Absorbance (86%), cyst-size microscopic count (99.6%), chlorine demand (52%), and lead (43%). Any manufacturer's dissolved air flotation (DAF) and filtration process equipment (such as AquaDAF, Clari-DAF, etc.) may achieve similar high performance for water purification. https://hcommons.org/deposits/item/hc:55689

North Grand River Avenue Corridor Study, Lansing Michigan
The study area is experiencing varying levels of urban blight and deterioration brought on by years of neglect. The area is located south of Capital Region International Airport which provides many opportunities for redevelopment. Proximity to the airport and its recurring noise is a potential deterrent for potential investors. The purpose of the future research is to correct and prevent deterioration in key corridors and to create a welcoming entry point into the City of Lansing. In addition, future research will highlight and promote neighborhood aligned growth and development
Shiawassee County Development Handbook
Shiawassee County is a low-population rural county that lacks the resources commonly found in larger metropolitan areas. The existing capacity for change is limited, and the County’s fragmentation of local government entities creates unique identities and rules. There are twenty-eight governmental entities in Shiawassee County. While some townships are still under county jurisdiction for planning, several townships have pulled out and begun to plan independently in recent years. Because of financial limitations, the ability to hire is lacking throughout the County. The County needs to attract more business and development opportunities. This project seeks to find ways to improve the planning process to aid Shiawassee Economic Development Partnership to make it easier and more desirable for businesses and developments to locate in Shiawassee County

Throw Out the Honey, Bring Out the Catfish: Examining the Effectiveness of Calliphoridae (Diptera) Bait (Poster)
There is significant variation in the distribution of Diptera (true flies) that contribute to decomposition and are of forensic importance. In an effort to study this distribution, it is necessary to attract these species of dipteran via an artificial trapping method. However, there is no definitive answer to the bait that should be used to collect the greatest quantity of Diptera of forensic importance or the richest diversity. To understand the differences in baits for Diptera traps three butterfly traps were placed in three different areas of the USDA-ARS property in Kerrville, Texas. Traps were set in the morning and were baited with the same bait. They were then collected at the end of the day. The contents of the traps were then frozen and later identified. The specific baits used were beef liver and catfish filets. Diptera were collected off of road kill, and compared. This was done three times a week for six weeks in June through July. Eight calliphoridae species were collected, including Cochiomyia macellaria, Lucilia mexicana, and Chrysomya rufifacies. In total, 697 dipterans were collected, 588 from fish-baited traps, nine from liver-baited traps, and 100 from roadkill
