An analysis of student’s difficulties in learning mathematics at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah
Get PDFThis study aims to describe the level of difficulty of students in solving story problems in
mathematics learning at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This research is a descriptive-analytical
study. The participants of the study were third-grade students at one Madrasah Ibtidaiyah
in Palangka Raya City, which numbered 34 people and fifth-grade students at one
Ibtidaiyah Madrasah in East Lampung City, which amounted to 40 people. Data collection
techniques use tests in the form of 10 questions. The tests given to the research sample
have met the criteria of validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques use descriptive
statistics in the form of tables and graphs through the calculation of averages and
percentages. The results of this study explain that, in general, students have difficulty
solving story problems. The most difficulty experienced by third graders is associating
mathematics with daily life problems, which is 83.82%. In comparison, the most difficulty
experienced by fifth-grade students is changing the language of everyday problems into the
language of mathematics (making mathematical models or making a solution plan), which
is 82%. This research produced a novelty in describing the difficulty of students solving
story problems in mathematics learning by linking mathematics to daily life problems in
Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kesulitan siswa dalam memecahkan
masalah cerita dalam pembelajaran matematika di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Penelitian ini
merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitis. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas III Madrasah
Ibtidaiyah Kota Palangka Raya yang berjumlah 34 orang dan siswa kelas lima Madrasah
satu Madrasah Kota Lampung Timur yang berjumlah 40 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data
menggunakan tes berupa 10 pertanyaan. Tes yang diberikan kepada sampel penelitian telah
memenuhi kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik
deskriptif berupa tabel dan grafik, melalui perhitungan rata-rata dan persentase. Hasil
penelitian ini menjelaskan bahwa pada umumnya siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam
memecahkan masalah cerita. Kesulitan yang paling banyak dialami oleh siswa kelas tiga
adalah mengaitkan matematika dengan masalah kehidupan sehari-hari, yaitu 83,82%.
Sedangkan kesulitan yang paling banyak dialami oleh siswa kelas V adalah mengubah
bahasa soal sehari-hari menjadi bahasa matematika (membuat model matematika atau
membuat rencana solusi) yaitu 82%. Penelitian ini menghasilkan kebaruan berupa
deskripsi kesulitan siswa memecahkan masalah cerita dalam pembelajaran matematika
dengan mengaitkan matematika dalam masalah kehidupan sehari-hari di Madrasah
Ibtidaiyah
Konstruksi epistemologi fatwa perkawinan beda agama
Get PDFThis study discusses the identification of the epistemology of the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council regarding interfaith marriages. This quali- tative research, in the form of a literature study, uses a normative-philo- sophical approach. The primary data of this research is in the form of a
fatwa document of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) in the VIIth Na- tional Conference of 2005 concerning interfaith marriages. Secondary data uses various scientific literature relevant to the discussion’s focus object.
The theory of idealism and realism of Islamic law is the theory of this re- search analysis data collection through documentation. Meanwhile, data
analysis goes through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This research shows that the epistemological construction of the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council in the 7th National Conference of 2005 on inter- faith marriages is not only based on the epistemology of Islamic law, which
is normative idealism by referring to explanations of theological texts but also emphasizes the realism aspect of Islamic law in the form of consid- erations about the effectiveness of the fatwa in community life through a preventive approach and preventing the practice of interfaith marriages.The theoretical implications of this study show that there is an integration of idealism and realism of Islamic law in the MUI fatwa paradigm on inter- faith marriages. This shows that MUI, in its fatwa, strives to be responsive, contextual, and dynamic in addressing societal problems.
Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang identifikasi epistemologi fatwa Majelis
Ulama Indonesia tentang perkawinan beda agama. Penelitian kualitatif
berupa studi pustaka ini menggunakan pendekatan normatif-filosofis.
Data primer penelitian ini berupa dokumen Keputusan fatwa Majelis Ula- ma Indonesia (MUI) dalam MUNAS ke VII Tahun 2005 tentang perkawi- nan beda agama. Data sekunder menggunakan berbagai literatur ilmiah
yang memiliki relevansi dengan objek fokus pembahasan. Teori idealisme
dan realisme hukum Islam menjadi teori analisis penelitian ini. Pengum- pulan data melalui dokumentasi. Sementara itu, analisis data melalui ta- hap reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Penelitian
ini menunjukkan Konstruksi epistemologi fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia
dalam MUNAS ke 7 tahun 2005 tentang perkawinan beda agama tidak
sekedar berpijak pada epistemologi hukum Islam yang idealisme normatif
dengan mengacu pada penjelasan nas teologis melainkan juga menekank- an aspek realisme hukum Islam berupa pertimbangan tentang efektifitas
fatwa tersebut di tengah kehidupan masyarakat melalui pendekatan kai- dah prefentif dan pencegahan praktik perkawinan beda agama. Implikasi
teoritik dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa adanya integrasi idealisme
dan realisme hukum Islam dalam paradigma fatwa MUI tentang perkawi- nan beda agama. Hal ini menunjukkan MUI dalam fatwa-fatwanya beru- saha untuk dapat responsif, kontekstual dan dinamis dalam menyikapi
problem kemasyarakatan
The Construction Of The Millennial Generation Religious Vision Through Digital Literacy
Get PDFThe transformation of society that has led to the advent of digital technology does not necessarily result in the breakdown of the social system. Concerns about a new value system that supplants traditional values among the millennial generation have yet to be substantiated. Furthermore, fears of religious ideology being fueled by computer algorithms have not been observed among millennials in Central Kalimantan. In fact, the participation of the millennial generation in the digital communication sphere has led to amore open and tolerant religious perspective, rather than a monolithic religious vision. Their observance of the intersection of religion and politics in national discourse has made them uninterested in seeking out or consuming religious and state-related issues. Instead, they tend to favor topics related to human relationships, conveyed in a smooth and engaging manner. This reflects the millennial generation’s desire for amodern and uncomplicated religious life, placing religious issues in the private rather than public sphere. While this study provides a comprehensive picture of
the religious vision of millennials in Central Kalimantan, a more nuanced understanding can be achieved by comparing it to similar research in a different and more complex technological context, such as Java. The difference in exposure to digital technology and characteristics of respondents is likely to have an effect on the religious vision of the millennial generation
The Impact of Self Confidence on Student Discussion Activeness of PAI IAIN Palangka Raya
