Technical financial analysis of the different alternatives for the in-line measurement of the polymer viscosity during its injection process
No full textIn this project, different commercial in-line viscometers were analyzed from a technical point of view for the real-time measurement of the viscosity of polymer solutions in polymer injection processes in Colombia, comparing the physical principles, operating ranges, advantages , disadvantages; In addition to this, an economic analysis of the viscometers provided in the market survey was carried out, comparing them with the current measurement methodology of Ecopetrol S.A. Based on the above, it was determined which one or which fit each case of study. In the first instance, the description and analysis of eight commercial in-line viscometers from different multinational companies were made, which have greater applicability in the hydrocarbon and polymer industry; in order to develop a technical comparison of its physical principles, operational ranges and limitations. Subsequently, the operating conditions that govern the five polymer injection pilots executed by Ecopetrol SA were described, and variables that directly affect the integrity of the measurement of the polymer solution to surface conditions were identified and analyzed, identifying the viscometers suitable for monitoring the viscosity of the polymer solution in each pilot. Finally, a financial analysis of the technically feasible and commercially available viscometers was conducted through a market survey, which were compared with the current methodology used in Ecopetrol SA for the measurement of the viscosity of the polymer solution, this analysis was performed by flow of cash to obtain the net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), and investment efficiency (EFI) using fixed CAPEX of the pilot and using the OPEX of each one of the measurement alternatives.En este proyecto se analizaron, desde el punto de vista técnico, diferentes viscosímetros in-line comerciales para la medición en tiempo real de la viscosidad de soluciones poliméricas en procesos de inyección de polímeros en Colombia, comparando los principios físicos, rangos de operación, ventajas, desventajas; adicional a esto, se realizó un análisis económico de los viscosímetros proporcionados en el sondeo de mercado, comparándolos con la metodología actual de medición de Ecopetrol S.A. Con base a lo anterior, se determinó cuál o cuáles se ajustan a cada caso de estudio. En primera instancia se realizó la descripción y análisis de ocho viscosímetros in-line comerciales de diferentes empresas multinacionales, los cuales tienen mayor aplicabilidad en la industria de hidrocarburos y polímeros; con el fin de desarrollar una comparación técnica de sus principios físicos, rangos operacionales y limitaciones. Posteriormente, se describieron las condiciones de operación que rigen los cinco pilotos de inyección de polímero ejecutados por Ecopetrol S.A, así mismo, se identificaron y analizaron las variables que afectan directamente la integridad de la medición de la solución polimérica a condiciones de superficie, identificando los viscosímetros adecuados para el monitoreo de la viscosidad de la solución polimérica en cada piloto. Finalmente, se realizó un análisis financiero de los viscosímetros técnicamente factibles y comercialmente disponibles mediante un sondeo de mercado, los cuales se compararon con la metodología actual empleada en Ecopetrol S.A para la medición de la viscosidad de la solución polimérica, este análisis se realizó mediante flujo de caja para obtener el valor presente neto (VPN), tasa interna de retorno (TIR), y eficiencia de la inversión (EFI) empleando CAPEX fijo del piloto y usando el OPEX propio de cada una de las alternativas de medición.Ecopetrol S.
Technical financial evaluation of the effects of the relative permeability modifiers in the field la Cira Infantas
No full textFor this project, it carries out a technical-financial evaluation of the effects of a chemical solution consisting of the injection of relative permeability modifiers to reduce the relative permeability of water and thereby minimize the water cut. By means of a numerical simulation of conceptual type different scenarios were evaluated in which the treatment of relative permeability modifiers was applied taking into account the variables of relative water permeability and the radius of invasion of the polymer. The financial evaluation allows to define the best scenario, in which the expenses corresponding to the production of water, are considerably reduced and in this way determine the financial viability of the project with respect to a base case. Through the financial indicator of Net Present Value (NPV), the profitability of this project is evaluated.Para este proyecto realiza una evaluación técnico financiera de los efectos de una solución química que consiste en la inyección de modificadores de permeabilidades relativas para reducir la permeabilidad relativa de agua y con esto minimizar el corte de agua. Por medio de una simulación numérica de tipo conceptual se evaluaron diferentes escenarios en los cuales se aplicó el tratamiento de modificadores de permeabilidades relativas teniendo en cuenta las variables de permeabilidad relativa del agua y el radio de invasión del polímero. La evaluación financiera permite definir el mejor escenario, en el cual los gastos correspondientes a la producción de agua, se reducidos considerablemente y de esta manera determinar la viabilidad financiera del proyecto con respecto a un caso base. Thermo-economic analysis of a technological scheme for the production of ethanol anhydro by extractive distillation
No full textFuel ethanol is a biofuel of great interest today, which is why the market has evolved to produce this biofuel more cheaply, this is where thermoeconomics is applied, making a thermoeconomic analysis to a simulated technological scheme in ASPEN PLUS ® in its version 9.0; It is possible to perform this analysis and quantify exergy and thermoeconomic prices for each of the currents present in the system, in parallel performing an exergy analysis for the quantification of lost work and thus obtaining the cost of exergy loss. The methodology developed to perform thermoeconomics is taken from the literature and divided into 4 important steps, the exergy analysis or second law availability, taking into account the balance of the environment, the economic analysis quantified by the correlations for specialized distillation found by means of a bibliographic review, the quantification of exergy costs to know the cost of useful energy, and finally with a balance of inputs / economic, determine the thermoeconomic cost for each current present. Having said analysis, the system is optimized by means of an indirect objective function that relates the amount of heat supplied per mole of distillate produced under the restrictions of anhydrous ethanol and an ethanol outlet for funds not greater than 0.2% on a molar basis . By optimizing the process, it was possible to find out which parameters such as the investment by CT and the entropy generated are minimized and with this the cost of exergy loss.El etanol carburante es un biocombustible de gran interés actualmente, es por esto que el mercado ha evolucionado para la producción de dicho biocombustible de manera más barata, es aquí donde se aplica la termoeconomía, realizando un análisis termoeconómico a un esquema tecnológico simulado en ASPEN PLUS ® en su versión 9.0; Se logra realizar dicho análisis y cuantificar los precios exergético y termoeconómico para cada una de las corrientes presentes en el sistema, de manera paralela realizando un análisis exergético para la cuantificación del trabajo perdido y así obteniendo el costo de pérdida exergética. La metodología desarrollada para realizar la termoeconomía es tomada de la literatura y divida en 4 pasos importantes, el análisis exergético o de disponibilidad de segunda ley, teniendo en cuenta el equilibrio del entorno, el análisis económico cuantificado por las correlaciones para especializadas para destilación encontrado por medio de una revisión bibliográfica, la cuantificación de costos exergéticos para saber el costo de la energía útil, y por último con un balance de insumos/económico, determinar el costo termoeconómico para cada corriente presente. Teniendo dicho análisis, se procede a optimizar el sistema mediante una función objetivo indirecta que relaciona la cantidad de calor suministrado por mol de destilado producida bajo las restricciones de etanol anhidro y una salida de etanol por fondos no mayor a 0,2% en base molar. Al optimizar el proceso se pudo encontrar que parámetros como la inversión por TAC y la entropía generada son minimizadas y con ello el costo de pérdida exergética

It is important to point out that in recent years there has been an increase in the number of foreigners in Colombia exceeding expectations, while in 2010, 1,474,863 foreigners entered, in 2017, 6,531,226 foreigners entered, in 7 years, the number of visitors to Colombia surpassed the six million.El turismo de naturaleza ha tenido un auge importante y en los últimos años se ha fortalecido en el país ya que es un mecanismo para hacer sostenibles las áreas naturales, además, el turismo es un motor clave para el progreso socioeconómico debido a que experimenta un continuo crecimiento y diversificación, se ha convertido en uno de los principales actores del comercio internacional y representa una de las principales fuentes de ingreso de divisas para países emergentes. The main activities developed throughout the internship and participation in the projects related to Design of interior spaces, structural study together with the Engineer Mario García, quotations of materials and budgets, rehabilitation of facades, development of construction details of both the structural elements as well as the fixed point and external elements such as a swimming pool, tabulation and translation documents of the company.Para llevar a cabo un buen desarrollo de estas actividades se utilizaron programas y softwares como Autocad, en donde se manejaba toda la planimetría principal y levantamientos topográficos, después de esto se exporta el proyecto a Revit, programa que nos permite modelar en 3D el proyecto, se aprende realizar tablas de cuantificación materiales, elementos estructurales y no estructurales y en el cual también se realiza el básico del proyecto. Por último se pasa el modelado a Sketchup en donde se aplican materiales y se da una estética al proyecto; y de la mano se trabaja con Lumion, mejorando los terminados de materiales y se le da una finalización más real. Además de esto tuve la oportunidad de aprender a manejar programas de mediciones en donde con ayuda de Revit se puede presupuestar la obra de manera más rápida y con datos más exactos, aunque cabe resaltar que también hice mediciones en autocad y se llega al mismo resultado.Gestión 360 - Kub
