This text offers an overview of our research on the way in which the designer develops an attentional correspondence with the living and non-living environment, in the sense of an empathetic relationship, during the instaurative journey that constitutes the design-project. Drawing on Étienne Souriau’s theory of the Instauration de l’œuvre à faire, we present an analysis of two cases to illustrate our point of view on the relationship between empathy for over-cycled materials and objects, and the accompaniment of the work toward its plenary and patent existence. The aim of this chapter is to begin thinking about the transmodal operations present in the design process in order to better understand the roles of the “virtual” and the “imaginary” in the emergence of new modes of existence for the material or object
Through the example of the non-fiction novel D’autres vies que la mienne by Emmanuel Carrère (2009), representing a branch of contemporary French literature that places empathy at the heart of the narrative, this chapter seeks to identify the linguistic and discursive means underlying the thematization of the empathetic feeling. Language register, figures of speech, sentence modalities and modalizations, enunciative strategies and changes of points of view are the main markers of this stylistic approach to empathy

Késő vaskori szövőműhely Ecser határából
The site is situated near Budapest, in the Pest Plain. It was researched in the frames of a preventive excavation between 2004 and 2006. At a large area of 8.7 hectares, excavations revealed a large, dense Sarmatian settlement and cemetery. A total of 48 objects from the site belonged to the Late Iron Age. Based on the ceramics excavated at Ecser and the AMS radiocarbon measurements, I conclude that the Celtic settlement may have started in LTB2 and still existed in LTC1, but may have been abandoned by LTC2, at least as indicated by the upper limit of the dating of the S-profile bowls. In my analysis, I have primarily interpreted the remains of the weaving mill. It can be concluded that we are dealing with a Late Iron Age semi-subterranean rectangular house witch rounded corners. It had a roof construction with two posts and purlin, as well as an ascending wall. As for the weights, it is clear that they must have been loom weights, since the loom collapsed in situ in the burnt house. This is also indicated by the remains of charred wood at floor level, which clearly show the frame of the loom. The loom had two rows of weaving looms and each of the weights was decorated. Fortunately, the exact position of each of the weights is known. Although a pattern in the positioning of the ornamentation is apparent, I have not been able to interpret it without exact parallels
A teafa illóolaj biofilm-képződést gátló hatása kórházi környezetben előforduló baktériumok ellen
Bacteria causing nosocomial infections are characterized by rapidly developing antibiotic resistance and the ability to form bioflms. Tese properties increase their resistance. Another characteristic is their ability to settle on inert surfaces which enhances the possibility of infections in immunosuppressed patients. Terefore it is important to explore alternative solutions to fght against these resistant pathogen in clinical practice. In our in vitro experiments we examined one essential oil and four bacteria. Based on literature data and preliminary results from our research group the essential oil of Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree oil) is proved to be the most efective against these bacteria. We performed our research using trea tree oil. Based on clinical experiences four bacteria were selected which were most commonly isolated from biological samples (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Staphylococcus aureus). Our aim was to fnd out which bacteria are the most sensitive and which are the most resistant to the treatment. To determine the exact composition of tea tree oil analytical test (GCMS) was performed. Te next were the microbiological experiments. We determined the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of tea tree oil using the microdilution method. Bioflms formed by bacteria were grown on 96-well microtiter plates, treated with half of the previously determined MIC concentration, and incubated. Te bioflms were fxed, stained, and absorbance was measured at 590 nm to specify the inhibitory efect of the essential oils on bioflm formation. According to literature data the main component of tea tree oil is terpinen-4-ol. Our fndings confrmed that the essential oil we used also contains it in the highest proportion (38%). All four bioflms created by the bacteria we examined were disrupted by the oil treatment. S. aureus was the most resistant to the treatment while S. pneumoniae was the most sensitive. Our results were also visualized using scanning electronmicroscopy for MRSA bacteria. Based on our in vitro results it can be concluded that tea tree essential oil was efective against bioflms formed by all four bacteria. Our further goal is to formulate a surface disinfectant solution to prevent the spreading of these agents with patients, thereby preventing the development and spread of infection
