The COVID-19 pandemic has spread rapidly around the world and has had significant impact on changing the social practices of everyday behavior and interpersonal communication of people. In Russia, the Moscow Region was one of the leaders in the number of people infected with COVID-19. Therefore, the focus of the present study is on the everyday social practices of students in the Moscow Region during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the attitude of young people to restrictions and measures aimed at countering the spread of coronavirus infection in the region. The findings of the study are based on the results of a questionnaire survey of more than 2,500 young respondents studying at universities, colleges, and technical schools in the Moscow Region, conducted during the second wave of the pandemic. The conducted analysis has shown that more than half of the respondents admitted that they were afraid of contracting coronavirus and considered it a very dangerous disease. Nevertheless, young people's adherence to safety standards was often due to the strict requirements of the authorities and the public to comply with them. The most common measures taken by respondents to prevent COVID-19 included frequent handwashing with soap, wearing face masks in public places, wiping hands with antiseptic, and avoiding contact with sick people

Authors study the issues of providing the suspect and the accused with the right for defense in criminal proceedings through the prism of the provisions enshrined in international normative legal acts and the Constitution of the Russian Federation. The relevance of this article is substantiated by the authors by the fact that the consideration of the problems of the procedural status of the suspect and the accused in the criminal case should start with this basic provision of the principle of criminal proceedings, such as ensuring the right for protection to the suspect and the accused under article 16 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. In the context of the modern legal state and the requirements of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, which establishes the basic rights and freedoms of the person and the citizen. The solution to this problem becomes extremely important in the field of criminal justice, which is inevitably associated with the restriction of the constitutional rights of the individual within the limits allowed by law. In this regard, the problems of ensuring the right of the suspect and the accused to a defense require special attention. Based on the results obtained, the authors conclude that compliance with the guarantees of the right to defense of suspects and accused persons has a significant impact on the domestic and foreign policy image of the Russian Federation, being directly proportional to the legal insinuations of international organizations and attempts to influence the Russian legal system

On the leading role of values for the development of identity and ensuring the effective adaptation of migrants to the new ethnocultural environment, during the research process, we set the task to identify the values of migrants living in Azerbaijan. At the same time, such factors as the length of residence in the country and the age of the respondents were taken into account. The study involved 235 migrants, of whom 98 are Koreans and 137 Turks, who have been living in Azerbaijan for at least five years, aged 18-40. There are 55 women among Koreans, 43 men, 87 men and 50 women among Turks. The results of our study showed that the lower the level of national identity, the greater the opportunity for migrants to choose a marginal adaptation strategy. This behavior strategy leads to dissatisfaction, social and psychological safety of the migrant. Having lost the values of their culture, the migrant loses an adequate standard “image of the world”, which underlies the adaptation of the individual to the social environment. This means that the individual lacks values, patterns of adequate behavior, he has lost the significance of his culture, and therefore cannot adequately assess and accept the values of the host culture. Research has shown that a high level of indicators on such scales as the scale of interactivity (19%) and the scale of adaptation (18%) indicates that respondents feel confident enough in the new environment, are open to cooperation and are focused on self-realization, which gives them a sense of social and physical security. This situation, naturally, lowers the indicator on the scale of depression, which indicates the absence of serious emotional problems

Contrast training in football and its effect on the performance of students in this field of education

    Get PDF
Many factors determine success in football. But the most important of these are the physical and physiological variables that determine the performance of football players. Meeting these physical and physiological needs is also based on training methods prepared following branch-specific neural, muscular, and metabolic parameters. In football, for some reason, sufficient time cannot be allocated to the biomotor properties that need to be developed. Different methods are put forward to eliminate the obstacles that occur. One of these methods, which was discussed in the educational system of this field, was the idea of combining different strength training. Although there are different designs on these training in the literature, the most commonly studied methods are complex and contrast training. Complex and contrast training is based on the theory of post-activation potentiation, although there are minor differences between them. These methods generally include plyometric exercise followed by a severe strength exercise. For this reason, contrast and complex training are considered by some researchers as similar training methods, while studies that claim otherwise are also found in the literature. Discussions continue in terms of training protocols and training terms which are used. These methods are investigated by experts with many different protocols when the literature is examined. Confusion in the literature also affects studies on football. Complex and contrast training protocols in football that are used to define the purpose of this study, to examine the effect on player performance, on methods to deal with developments and discussions with existing methods to evaluate the positive and negative aspects to provide a critical perspective on sensible recommendations

Does educational aspect solve immigration problems in France?

    Get PDF
International immigration with different reasons such as education and citizenship is by no means a new phenomenon in the modern global world. Nevertheless, intense immigration was sparked and had serious implications, especially for European countries like France after the year 2010, which marked the start of the revolution in Tunisia and the birth of such a phenomenon as the Arab spring. After the end of the colonial era and the loss of colonial possessions by France, the French state encountered the problem of the influx of an infinite number of Arab and African immigrants who had considerable ethnic, religious and cultural-historical characteristics. Exacerbating the problem was that the distinctions seemed essential even when compared with immigrants from other countries, for example, Eastern and Southern Europe. The latter had a relatively similar culture and mentality to the French, and what is the main – a common Christian value matrix. As such, they did not become a problem for the governmental policy of integrating into the cultural space of the host country. European immigrants easily sipped republican values, legal norms, traditions and customs, while making a break with their tradition of the past. However, the growth of immigrant population belonging to a different culture and religious heritage led to the fact that the strategy of the French state in this direction began to become ineffective. It is obvious that the old mechanisms of adaptation, such as obtaining French citizenship and education, do not solve emerging problems, but only generate new ones. As a result, a mutual rejection of the indigenous population and the newcomers intensified, stimulating a buildup of tension in society. As a result, this gradually turned into a matter of preserving national identity for the former, while into a matter of ensuring the survival of themselves and their children for the latter

    Get PDF
The article is devoted to the autobiographical texts by E.A. Malov, a missionary and a teacher of the Kazan Theological Academy during the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. This period of time was characterized by a massive apostasy in the Kazan province of Orthodox newly baptized and old-baptized "foreigners" to Islam or paganism, which largely predetermined the specifics of the academy scientific work and its professors. The texts are written in the form of a diary describing the reflections on the implementation of a missionary campaign among Muslims and Orthodox "foreigners" and the conversations with shakirds and mullahs of the Kazan province during the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. E.A. Malov's diaries are directly related to his missionary activity, in which he participated actively throughout his life. Unlike many autobiographical texts that belonged to the clergy of that period, the Kazan missionary's diaries do not reflect the facts from his personal, and family life. The author of the diaries formulated the principles of "missionary science", the methods of refuting paganism and the Islamic religion. The texts of the diaries show that E.A. Malov strove to establish clear disciplinary boundaries of "missionary science," based mainly on historical criticism of sources, requiring specialized training. it is concluded that this source can be considered as one of the valid educational references in the field of propaganda science

In modern conditions of the pandemic and related economic and social changes, the quality of knowledge acquired by students both online and in the classroom has become even more important in the field of higher education and university pedagogical practice. The student's attitude towards their future professional and research activity and their understanding of the purpose, necessity, usefulness, and benefits of acquired professions are also important. This proves the increasing organizational complexity of the educational process and creation of effective psychological and pedagogical conditions in the educational environment of universities, on which the professional competence of future specialists largely depends. The article is devoted to the study of the relationship and interdependence of students’ educational, scientific, and cultural orientations in the course of higher education. It analyses the attitude of students towards the educational process and the formation of professional identity as the main value orientation for a given period of study. Modern media communication technologies are actively used in the educational process. A consistent and systematic approach is provided with the help of the Periscope application, which is a platform for distance learning. It allows holding open classes and workshops, participating and watching the learning process in real-time, broadcasting interesting events (conferences, exhibitions, seminars). Special attention is paid to media activity in social networks. Vkontakte, Instagram, and Facebook are the applications developed and used as effective platforms for sharing the news, announcements, polls, discussions, photo and video reports about university events. For instance, last year the North Ossetian State University became one of the leaders of the rating based on the results of monitoring the information openness of universities. The rating was presented by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation during the conference devoted to information interaction. The qualification acquired within the university study gives graduates the opportunity, on the one hand, to actively participate in the design, implementation, and further development of complex applied systems. On the other hand, it provides a basis for the scientific solution of related problems within applied research. In addition, an essential element of the master's degree is the creation of a professional area, which opens up the opportunity for students to acquire the appropriate additional qualifications necessary for leadership and managerial positions in addition to the content of education and professional practice.

    Get PDF
Based on the results of a sociological study, the article attempts a narrative explication of the attitudes of young people in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, and Russia toward their shared memorial heritage in the context of the permanent reinterpretation of the Soviet past in the former Soviet republics which appears important in the context of the ongoing search for new forms of economic and political integration in the Eurasian space. The study allows providing a characteristic of the place of the Soviet memorial heritage, especially that dedicated to the participation of the USSR in World War II, in the social memory of young people as a unifying factor of millennial and post-millennial generations of the former Soviet republics – participants in Eurasian integration which can contribute to the successful implementation of integration projects in the post-Soviet space. The post-memory generation is generally in favor of preserving the Soviet toponymic names of city streets and squares but young people in countries with a greater degree of linguistic and ethnocultural differences support renaming practices more often. At the same time, the authors note the ambivalence of young people’s attitudes towards the future of memorialization policies in their countries which preserves the possibility of potential revision and reconsideration of the Soviet past in the future.
