This study it was aimed to examine the emotional intelligence and personality traits of the students who study in different departments of the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Ege University and actively do sports in different sports branches.  In total 549 students participated in the study voluntarily. To evaluate the variables of the study, the Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale developed by Schutte et al. (1998) and adapted into Turkish by Tatar et al. (2011), and to evaluate personality traits, five-factor personality inventory developed by Somer, Tatar, and Korkmaz (2004) and whose short form was validated and reliable by Tatar (2005) were used. In this study, the data set was SPSS 22.0, and it was completed by using frequency tables, reliability analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way variance analysis, Tukey test, and correlation analysis in analyzes. There is both a significant (p<0.05) and an insignificant (p>0.05) difference between emotional intelligence and subscales of personality according to the department, type of education, average grade, class, gender, age and branches. There is no significant difference between emotional intelligence and personality (p> 0.05). They are independent of each other. As a result, as the concepts of emotional intelligence and personality affect individuals deeply, the main purpose of this study is to find the necessary information with the necessary studies to better understand the students in the sports science faculty. This study is to measure the emotional intelligence and personality traits of the students studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Ege University and to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and personality. We think that it is an important study as it will make a serious contribution to the studies by repeating similar studies and applying them to large sample groups in different fields in different universities and different branches

In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between team cohesion and prosocial and antisocial behaviors of football player candidates taking groundwork training in the professional football team of Kayserispor. The population of the study consisted of 172 football player candidates getting regular football training for at least 1 year in the Kayserispor football team and were in competition status, and the sample consisted of 104 volunteers. As data collection tools, “Personal Information Form”, “Youth Sport Environment Questionnaire” and “Prosocial and Antisocial Sports Participation Motives” were used. The data obtained in the study were analyzed in computer environment. Number, percentage, mean, standard deviation were used as descriptive statistical methods in the evaluation of the data. Pearson’s correlation was applied between the continuous variables of the study.Among the subtitles of youth athlete team cohesion; among the subtitles of task dimension and pro-social and anti-social behaviors, a moderate positive relationship between pro-social behavior towards teammate and a low level positive relationship between pro-social behavior against the opponent were detected. While a moderate negative relationship was detected between social behavior, there was no relationship between pro-social behavior to the opponent and anti-social behavior to the opponent, one of the subtitles of social dimension and pro-social and anti-social behavior. A low-level negative correlation was found between anti-social behavior towards teammate As a result, in Kayserispor football team, it has been observed that athletes who take groundwork training have a high level of cohesion both in terms of their duties and social aspects, they have positive attitudes and behaviors towards their teammates and the opponent both in or outside of the training or competition, regardless of the situation of the training or the competition, they think that they should stay away from humiliating and disabling attitudes and behaviors. It is thought that this is due to the strong emotional relationship among the team members and the high level of closeness to each other, and the respect they have for the opponent team players who are moving towards the same goal as themselves

This paper takes into account scientific approaches to mathematical modeling usage of interval data analysis to develop and improve the innovation management system due to effective innovative solutions related to the sale of energy resources and services including physiological working conditions of employees. The research outlines the tools for implementing the strategy of energy companies’ innovative development based on dynamic interval management models of enterprises innovative development, which substantiate management decisions and correlates physiological working conditions of employees. As a result, all these factors make it possible to predict the impact of a system of innovative development factors on the enterprise financial condition. Construction methods of an integrated indicator level combined with workers physiological conditions of energy enterprises innovative development have been used and provided on the optimization of the factor space that creates the company's innovation policy and takes into account its causal links, human factor, physical level of readiness. The article results allowed its usage for modeling the impact of innovation level on the financial performance of energy companies as well as a study of the state of innovative development of energy enterprises in the region. The mathematical modeling has been used to build such a tool for managing the innovative development of energy market enterprises. One of the most effective approaches to modeling the dynamics of economic processes is the set-theoretic approach accompanied with physical level of employee. Within this approach, the models contain parameters and variables represented as sets of guaranteed or acceptable values, or as fuzzy sets with known matching functions.  The paper determines that the advantage of this approach is that it does not require large samples of data (time series) to obtain adequate models, and preliminary study of statistical characteristics of data, such as the law of data distribution and others. The interval models, which describe indicators of economic processes in intervals of possible values or functional corridors, have been chosen as one type of models. It has been proposed to choose gross income as an indicator of the financial condition of energy market enterprises, because the activities of energy companies are essentially the sale of energy resources and services. Accordingly, innovative solutions aimed at improving sales should receive a response to gross sales revenue.  The management mathematical dynamic models proposed in the work scientifically substantiate the decisions made and allow predicting the influence of the system of innovative development factors and physiological working conditions of employees on the financial condition of the enterprise

Students’values and their Mental Health During Pandemic

    Get PDF
Values are widely studied concept by many researchers  trying to explore how basic values influence the way individuals think, feel and behave (Durkheim, 1964; Weber, 1958; Hitlin & Piliavin, 2004; Rohan, 2000; Schwartz, 1992; Smith & Schwartz, 1997; Schwartz, 2006; Williams, 1968). Values are playing crucial role in the formation of individuals’ personality and this influence can be better explained by the components of these values which consist of how student perceive the reality, what they know, how they feel and the way they react to various situations.  Taken together these components help to form certain attitudes toward different objects, other people and situations and serve as a basis for students’ motivation. Therefore, by influencing the attitudes and motivations of individuals values are having various consequences. The current study attempted to understand some of the psychological consequences of values on students’ mental health.  The results of the study show that there are value differences for male and female students. In addition, the degree of anxiety and depression was assessed, and statistical analysis of the data shows that females are more anxious (F=0.24, p < 0.001) and depressed F=8.04 (p< 0.001) compared to male students and these differences were found to be statistically significant.Conformity, tradition, universalism, and power values were greater for females compared to males and these differences were statistically significant. Self-direction value was found to be more important to male students compared to female students and the difference was statistically significant. These findings lead to the conclusion that values that are having greater importance for females could be one of the factors contributing to their level of anxiety and depression while values being important for male students could be the factor helping them to cope with stressful situations. The development of further research would be suggested to explore the contribution of certain values to the level of anxiety and depression for students with more diverse and large sample

Youth Policy And The Development of Quality Education As Factors In Reducing The Level of Radicalization In Society

    Get PDF
The article is devoted to the consideration of youth and youth policy as factors of terrorism in the 21st century. The authors have identified factors that increase the effectiveness of recruiters of terrorist organizations in attracting young people, as well as formulated and justified the principles of improving the effectiveness of youth policy in the framework of anti-terrorist activities of the authorities. According to the authors, an important factor in the radicalization of young people is the low level of education in the country. The authors draw attention to the fact that the low level of education does not create opportunities for the development of young people. This, in turn, leads to a radicalization of the relationship between the authorities and students. If graduates are unable to find jobs that meet their expectations, then the risk of radicalization of young people increases. A good education not only allows the state to train qualified specialists, which effectively affects the social and economic development of society. Specialists in demand do not belong to social groups prone to violent and radical actions in relation to other citizens, both within the country and abroad. Therefore, it is necessary, on the one hand, to develop educational programs that allow college and university graduates to be in demand in the labor market, constantly improve their skills, and increase the level of knowledge. On the other hand, it is necessary to develop students' skills, such as critical thinking, creativity, respect for the institutions of society, and skills in solving social and professional problems

The article deals with the study of historical aspects of children's choir singing in church tradition. The author considers characteristic features and origins of children's church choir singing. The reasons for using children's choir singing in Christian churches are investigated. The author characterizes the features of the conditions for utilization of children's choir singing in Christian churches. The distinction between children's church choir singing in the Orthodox East and Catholic West is shown. Children's choirs in Catholic churches were formed mainly from among orphan boys from orphanages at temples or monasteries. In the Catholic society of that time, childhood was not yet considered as a special status. Social assistance to children was included in the general program of care for unprotected segments of the population. However, they were destined for a compulsory religious education. In Orthodoxy, choir singing, along with the ability to read and write, was considered a necessary factor in the education of the ruling class and literate clergy. Thus, a more meaningful and profound educational program for future adults was introduced. In conclusion, the author states that children's choir singing, while being closely associated with church traditions and practice, introduces children to anagogic, educational and spiritual processes of the church ceremony
