“ENTERING LIFE” OF POETRY BY E.T.A. HOFFMANN AND GÜNTER GRASS
In this scientific article, it is assumed that the literary works of the Nobel Prize laureate and the German national poet Günter Grass are characterized by romantic features. For this reason, the novel Ein weites Feld (“A Wide Field”) by Grass and the fairy tale Der goldene Topf (“The Golden Pot”) by E.T.A. Hoffmann are examined in terms of their similarities and differences. It is noteworthy that E.T.A. Hoffmann has so far only been associated with Grass in relation to his fairy tale “Klein Zaches, called Zinnober”, and the main hero of the fairy tale served as a literary model for Oskar Matzerath from “The Tin Drum”. Thus, this article makes it possible to throw a new light on Grass’es research. In this paper the following aspects are analyzed: questions of poetics, genesis, main characters, narrative or fictional levels, structural principles, as well as the role of the reader. The results are summarized in the final part of the investigation

This consistent hatred and discrimination against the LGBT people develop many psychological disorders that include anxiety, depression, isolation, pessimism, and hopelessness. These psychological disorders enforce suicide attempts and socially deviated behavior among the LGBT people. The study has a qualitative research design and the researcher conducted 10 interviews with LGBTs in northern Iraq. The results of the study outlined that LGBTs in Iraq have social and psychological issues that contribute to hopelessness and pessimism among LGBTs. The society has zero tolerance in the name of religion and the conservative norms do not allow these people to live their life as normal people. They commit suicide or get into depression because of unending suffering. However, the LGBTs that received counseling improved their condition as compared to those that could not receive counseling services. Counseling helped these people to come out of depression and live a normal life by accepting the reality

Proper knowledge of a language requires being aware of such interlingua interference as “false friends of a translator”. The research conducted with higher school students revealed the fact of misunderstanding and their being confused when dealing with the stratum of terminology under consideration. Therefore, the aim of the paper is to consider ‘false friends of a translator’ in physics field taking account of their similarities or differences in the pronunciation, meaning and spelling in English and Russian. For realizing this aim the authors empirically surveyed two groups of higher school final-year students to contribute to their language development through good knowledge of terms. The research was conducted on the base of comparison, observation and empirical methods and the teaching-practicing-controlling approach. The results obtained show that proper educating the future specialists to the use of the lexical units under consideration correctly can improve their language knowledge for their professional growth. The results can be used in language teaching practice, in making dictionaries for special purposes, as well as for making some possible contribution to terminology science
Adaptation of social utopia in post-modern society
System-forming invariants of utopia are analyzed – rationality, criticality, transcendentality, universalism, and projectivity – in the context of post-modern world outlook. The agenda of utopian consciousness is actualized through the statements about the anti-utopian character of post-modernism and the idea of “the end of utopia”, concordant with “the end of history”. The research objective is to prove the prolongation of utopian discourse after the period of modernism on the basis of systemic approach and philosophical conceptions substantiating the qualitative specificity of the modern society. The analysis is based on the correlation between the presence of specific features of utopian consciousness in the world-outlook picture of the world and the viability of the social utopia phenomenon. Each of the system-forming characteristics of utopia is revealed in the contradictory context of post-modernism. The classical type rationality invariant is manifested through optimization of the social organization pattern, which plays an instrumental role in relation to the moral ideal. In the epoch after modernism, it is “reasonable organization” that represents the utopian ideal. The criticality invariant: on the one hand, post-modernism takes a time-serving position of “linguistic escapism”. On the other hand, it criticizes the style of reasoning of the previous epoch. Criticality and pluralism testify to the ability for alternative view at the things existent, the said view being based on the social ideal. The projectivity invariant: on the one hand, post-modernism marks “the end of history” and time. On the other hand, the gnoseological plurality of post-modernism implies individual, polysemantic vision of the objective reality, facilitating the formation of multiple utopian projects, tolerate to simultaneous existence. The transcendentality invariant: on the one hand, post-modernism excluded transcendental narratives from its semantic field. On the other hand, hyperreality with its simulacras generates belief in new metaphysical meanings. The universality invariant: on the one hand, social construction after modernism does not pretend to absolute truth and universal happiness. On the other hand, the global issues actualize the universality approach, while tolerate post-modernism does not deny the co-existence of individualistic utopias and megaprojects common to all mankind. As a result, the authors make a conclusion that the classical utopia crisis has been overcome and there is a trend for further development of utopian discourse due to adaptive transformation of utopian invariants in the society after modernism

One of such special tax regimes is the patent taxation system
