Hadiths of Makhrameh Bin Bakir on the authority of his father in Sahih Muslim in compilation, graduation and study and a discussion of its weakness on the Internet
Despite the scientific development that mankind has reached and despite the amount of new and
renewable knowledge and discoveries that scientists reach every day; however, the idea of obtaining 100%
reliable information is still elusive, whether online or through any other means. Since ease of access to
information is one of the features of the modern era, it is necessary to think about the reliability of the
information presented by the Internet, and how to ensure the validity of information on the Internet. The nation
(Ummah) received “Sahih Muslim” with acceptance, and made it the most authentic hadith books after “Sahih
al-Bukhari”. Therefore, scholars took care to study it and learn the ways of its narration. Muslim in his Sahih
produced hadiths of Mukhramah Ibn Bakir on the authority of his father, and when it was a narration that was
open to his father from the narrations that the people of Science, this research came to study these hadiths,
through research and analytical extrapolation, to produce and study the proof of these hadiths and their contents,
with an explanation of the way a Muslim produced them, and a discussion of their weakness on the Internet, as
well as how a Muslim dealt with the issue of hearing a hermaphrodite from his father. The research reached
him: The most correct among the hadith scholars is that the Makhramah did not hear from his father, as it was
not correct to hear him from him, but rather they are books that he found and updated from them. Therefore, he
criticized Al-Daraqutni, as well as Dr. Khaled Al-Hayek from among the contemporaries, as a Muslim in his
production of the hadiths that are veiled on the authority of his father. The research also found that a Muslim
produced seventeen hadiths on behalf of his father for a hijrah, and he followed the hadith of one of them only
on the authority of his father, and the rest of it was singled out for it and no one followed him up on it, some ofwhich are in the fundamentals, and some of them are in follow-ups and testimonies. It is through a hijrah on the
authority of his father, and he mentioned many hadiths with a hijrah that followed, and perhaps a Muslim had a
valid hearing from his father, or it was said that his narration was narrated from his father and serious, and a
Muslim corrected the hadiths that he entered into the health department, especially as the ummah had received it
with acceptance. The research also recommended doing more. Among the researches and studies on Sahih
Muslim, knowledge of the ways of his narration by the narrators the speaker in hearing them, and an
explanation of the methods of bearing them that he adopted in his Sahih
Validation of predictive equation for height using demi-span among Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin staff
Demi-span measurement is a method used to estimate height of an individual, especially for
those whose height cannot be directly measured. Height is a crucial parameter that is needed
to determine other parameters that help in the assessment of one’s nutritional status, such as
body mass index (BMI). Therefore, this study was conducted to validate the equation for
demi-span measurement proposed by Ngoh et al. (2012). This cross-sectional study involved
118 employees of Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA), Kuala Nerus, Terengganu,
Malaysia, who were in the age group of 30-55 years. Weight, height, and demi-span were
measured using the standard procedures. The results showed that adult anthropometrics
differed on the basis of gender (p < 0.001) and age (p < 0.05). The height calculated from the
equations and the measured height showed consistent agreement and similarity (r = 0.944
and r = 0.949, respectively). The calculated height led to a BMI estimate that was close to the
actual BMI (r = 0.997 and r = 0.996, respectively) calculated from the measured height. In
conclusion, the demi-span equation showed good reliability and was suitable to estimate
height and BMI of adult individuals in Malaysia
The role of satisfaction in mediating trust, commitment and loyalty in family takaful
Bank Negara Malaysia reports revealed that the Takaful market performance was shown to have contributed significantly to the
family Takaful business compared to the general Takaful business, which remained the primary income generator in Malaysia for
the Takaful industry. Yet, family Takaful's market penetration rate is still relatively low and does not reach the potential market. It
also confirmed that the range of family Takaful participants surrendered their certificates every year. This can be argued that the
Takaful industry faces a challenge in maintain their current family Takaful participants. It is critical for the Takaful industry to focus
on participants’ retention by know-how the loyalty tendencies. This research aims at providing more information and knowledge
on how to manage their loyalty based on its antecedents. Hence the main purpose of this research is to examine the effect of
trust, commitment and satisfaction on participants’ loyalty in family Takaful. This research also aims to examine the mediating role
of satisfaction which can help extend the current understanding of loyalty. A quantitative research was put in place to achieve the
research objectives. Stratified random sampling and simple random sampling were selected in which the questionnaires were
distributed to 400 samples of family Takaful participants in the East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia. The data collected were
processed via appropriate computer software such as the Statistical Package for Social Sciences version 22 (SPSS 22.0) and the
AMOS program version 22 (AMOS 22.0). These findings contributed to the existing literature as a guide to better understand
consumer behaviour cycles, particularly in the context of Takaful industry
A review of islamic credit card concepts from shari’ah perspective in Malaysia
The Islamic credit card is introduced by Islamic financial institutions to substitute the conventional credit
card. Islamic credit card has played a significant part in the progress of Islamic banking in Malaysia. A group of
contemporary scholars has an unfavourable opinion on credit card operations. They argue that it is a modern way of
reviving riba and a hilah (trick) to legitimise interest. The majority disapproved of the concepts of Inah and Tawarruq
of the Islamic scholars in the Hambali, Maliki and Hanafi schools of jurisprudence and some contemporary scholars
considered them as sales contracts intended as a legal stratagem to legalise debt with riba (interest). However, this
problem drove some Malaysian Islamic banks to come up with the concept of Ujrah, which is accepted by the more
significant number of scholars as to the best substitute for Inah and Tawarruq. This study aims at reviewing the scholars’
views on the concept of Inah, Tawarruq and Ujrah applied in the Islamic credit card. The study will examine the views
of classical and contemporary scholars on the concept of Inah and Tawarruq. It will then further discuss the concept
of Ujrah. A qualitative method was used by adopting library research and the study mostly relied on primary and
secondary sources of Shariah. The study relies on the Quran, Hadith and jurisprudence to achieve the objective. The
findings highlighted that the credit cards based on the concept of ujrah (fee) are acceptable to contemporary scholars.
However, modern scholars disallowed the Islamic credit card based on the concept of Inah and Tawarruq because the
majority of the classical scholars have controversial of the concept of Inah and Tawarruq are legal stratagem to
legitimise riba
A confession of female smokers in Medan about their smoking habit (cigarette and chewing tobacco): a preliminary study
Indonesia is the country with the highest number of smokers in
ASEAN, with 65.19 million people. Equivalent is 34% of the total
population of Indonesia in 2016. As 2545 women smoke, they
smoke in various types, such as cigarettes, chewing tobacco, and
vape (SDKI, 2018). Smoking prevalence among women is lower
than that for men in most countries, but the rate is increasing
rapidly from 4.2 percent to 6.7 percent in 2010-2013
(Riskesdas,2013).This research used qualitative approach. Semistructured interviews were held with 47 individuals from Medan
city. A purposive sample was used who self-identified as female
smokers in the past 30-days. Most of the participants who
volunteered to take part in the study were over 25 years old.
Tobacco users are divided into two focal categories which are
cigarette smokers and chewing tobacco addicts, 31 reported as
cigarette smokers, and 16 were reported having a chewing
tobacco habit. Researches categorized cigarette users or smokers
as CU and chewing tobacco users as CTU. The analysis of
transcripts from the interviews revealed five main themes: 1)
Personal problem lead to smoking (CU) 2) School friends’
influences initiate the habit (CU) 3) Family tradition originate the
chewing tobacco habit (CTU) 4) Prevent egoistic status from the
tribe (CTU) and 5) Intent and struggle to quit but unsuccessful for
CU but not CTU. Acclimatizing health promotion awareness and
activities shall be concentrate on such as oral health, quit
smoking and chewing tobacco program as well as motivational
improvement approach to quit the smoking
Comparative study on nutritive value of different legumes species (Leucaena Leucocephala, Calopogononium Muconoides and Stylosanthes Guianensis)
Legumes are the plant that contains high protein content that has been used as supplementary for animal feed
and has a great potential to increase the productivity of livestock. However, no much study has been measured
on the nutritive value of legume species. Thus, the aims of this study were to measure the nutritive content in
the leaves of three different legume species (Leucaena leucocephala, Calopogonium mucunoides and Stylosanthes
guianensis) and to compare the species that contain high of nutritive value. The samples were collected in Tembila
area, Besut, Terengganu, then were brought to the Plant Physiology laboratory at UniSZA Kampus Besut for
sample preparation. The samples were washed under tap water for 30 seconds to prevent nutrient leaching, then
were dried and ground before analyzed by proximate analysis and mineral analysis using Induces Coupled
Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES) machine. The parameters that were measured by using the
proximate analysis consist of dry matter (DM), crude protein (CP), crude fibre (CF), ash, ether extract (EE) and
Nitrogen Free Extract (NFE). For mineral analysis, the samples were analyzed for Calcium (Ca), Zinc (Zn),
Iron (Fe), Copper (Cu) and Manganese (Mn). The results of this study showed that Leucaena leucocephala had
significantly higher (p < 0.05) of CP and EE. While, Stylosanthes guianensis had significantly higher (p < 0.05) of
the micro-elements which are Zn, Fe and Mn. Therefore, this study revealed that L. leucocephala contained the
highest nutritive value of CP, EE and Calcium
Effect of salt addition on mass transfer, colour and texture characterictics of shallow fried potato strips
Shallow frying is widely used as one of the cooking processes because of its simplicity and ability to gives better
taste of foods by adding spices, herbs and salt. Despite its widespread use, the mass transfer and product
properties of shallow frying have not been studied systematically, especially after the addition of salt. This study
aims to investigate the effect of adding salt to potato strips, prior to shallow frying on the mass transfer (moisture
and oil contents) and physical properties (colour and texture) of products. The potato strips were cut into 9 x 9
x 50 mm and were divided into salted (1% w/w) and unsalted (as control), and then were shallow fried at 150°C
and 180°C for 35 minutes. The moisture and oil contents were analysed every 5 minutes, while colour and
texture were determined at the end of shallow frying (i.e. when moisture content reached ~0.82 kg H2O/kg dry
matter). Salted fried potato at 180°C resulted in a significantly shorter frying time of 18 minutes, compared to
unsalted fried potato, which took 21 minutes. Meanwhile, at 150°C, the frying time reduced to 25 minutes for
the salted productfrom 33 minutes under unsalted product. The oil content, colour and texture of final products
were not significantly different under both treatments. Therefore, the effect of adding salt to potato strips does
not influence the oil content, colour and texture of the shallow fried products, but reduces frying times by up
to 24%, thereby improving energy efficiency
