Technology integration in implementing a curriculum: teachers' beliefs and willingness to change
Teachers' roles in implementing a curriculum is crucial in ensuring the planned curriculum is able to achieve its
intended meaning. Accordingly, technology integration is considered essential as it perpetuates better learning
outcomes for the learners. Specifically, embracing a new curriculum at classroom level requires teachers as its sole
enactors to integrate any technology which accompanies an innovation. However, technology advancement does not
confirm comprehensive integration. Subsequently, this conceptual paper tries to elucidate teachers' willingness to
change and beliefs as predictors to successful curriculum implementation where technology integration is involved.
Findings indicate that these two constructs are able to manoeuvre teachers to implement a new curriculum in a
successful manner when technology integration is involved
Kebitaraan ulama-umara' Terengganu dalam mempertahankan kedaulatan islamiah melayuwiyyah Terengganu, 1908-1918
Kebitaraan Ulama-Umara' Terengganu terserlah sewaktu peringkat awal campurtangan British di Terengganu. Sekalipun secara de facto British menguasai Terengganu setelah Perjanjian Bangkok 1909, namun secara de jure ia hanya berlaku pada tahun 1919. Ini kerana sebelum ini, British hanya mampu menghantar seorang agen (British Agent) dan bukannya Penasihat British sebagaimana Kedah, Perlis dan Kelantan. Agen British pula tidak berhak mencampuri urusan pentadbiran dalam negeri kecuali hanyalah memberi nasihat dalam soal dasar luar, melindungi kepentingan perdagangan serta membantu melindungi warga British di Terengganu. Pada 2 November 1911, kebitaraan ulama-muara' sekali lagi terselah apabila Sultan Zainal Abidin III bersama beberapa yang lain menggubal undang-undang tubuh negeri Terengganu yang dikenali sebagai Itqanul Muluk bil ta'dil Suluk bertujuan menyelamatkan Terengganu daripada dipengaruhi kuasa luar serta menjamin kedaulatan negeri. Dalam pada itu, metodologi kertas kerja ini menggalurkan naratif historiografi berdasarkan dokumen Arkib Negara Malaysia serta koleksi di Pusat Rujukan Muzium Negeri Terengganu. Semoga kertas kerja ini memberi gambaran terhadap pensejarahan Malaysia terutama dalam menzahirkan kebitaraan ulama-umara' Terengganu dalam mempertahankan kedaulatan Islamiyyah-Melayuwiyah dalam konteks Peradaban Wilayah Timur Laut Alam Melayu
Optimization of surface roughness and tool wear on AISI 4140 using coated Ni-YSZ for CNC turning process
Numerous type of cutting tools has been developed continuously for use in metal cutting and the coated cemented
carbides are the most popular in employing many machining strategies to improve machinability of alloy steel. This
paper presents on analyze of surface roughness and tool wear on AISI 4140 alloy steel using CNC lathe machine at
various machining parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut. Experiments were conducted using
Response Surface Methodology (RSM) and the interactions of machining parameters were analyzed using Analysis of
Variance (ANOVA) method. Results showed that the best surface roughness parameter for Ni-YSZ coated tool is at
maximum cutting speed, feed rate is minimum and minimum depth of cut which representing 0.28 μm . Whereas, for
the tool wear, the best parameter is at minimum cutting speed, minimum feed rate and minimum depth of cut for
producing 0.892 μm
i-BeeHOME: An intelligent stingless honey beehives monitoring tool based on TOPSIS method by implementing LoRaWan – a preliminary study
This paper describes a preliminary study on the development of an intelligent bee hives monitoring tool called iBeeHOME. This tool benefits LoRa and LoRaWan (LoRa in low power WANs) technology. This intelligent tool is
capable to collect crucial information on bee colony hives in real-time despite of its remote location. The capability as a
smart device of i-BeeHOME is further advanced when these information is then analyzed using one of the most wellknown multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method, i.e. TOPSIS. Therefore, it is realized that the capability of iBeeHOME is three-fold, i.e. (1) collects and retrieves crucial information from beehives despite of its remote/rural
location where WiFi/BLE based networks are ineffective by using LoRa technology, (2) analyzes information collected
to predict the conformity of bee hives location for high quality of honey production by using TOPSIS method, and (3)
tracking the geographical location of beehives in protecting it from being stolen/lost by using LoRaWAN technology. It
is expected that the development of this tool will not only help the beekeepers to monitor honey beehives with
minimum effort, but also implicitly allows further investigation on how to promote high quality of honey production
by stingless bees

Reflecting Al-Hima on “Kinship Mindfulness” Within The Ammatoan’s Indigenous Kinship System for The Nature Sustainability Through Life Simplicity
This article studies exceptional indigenous-spiritual affections for ecological
preservation through practicing a simple life. The main initiative of this study is to
understand nature preservation practices of two communities of diverse continents –
the Ammatoans and Arabs. The article is not designed to compare both, but a mere
effort to link the indigenous-spiritual practices in respecting nature for ensuring
sustainable resources on earth today through nature preservation i.e. forest, pasture
and alike. The Arabs‟ concept of “al-Hima” is a reflection of the Ammatoans‟
“kinship mindfulness” – a new concept which this article is proposing. The article
found the mindful intention, attention and attitude towards the forest in the
Ammatoan‟s kinship system mirror to the ancient old practice of grassland
preservation among the Arabs. The data found that Ammatoans have huge respect
for their forest. They are fully aware of the necessity to preserve the forest not only
because the forest is an asset but most importantly is part of their spiritual life. To be
mindful, they are guided by the Pasang Ri-Kajang – their indigenous handbook that
obligates for forest preservation. The Ammatoan‟s “kinship mindfulness” of West
Sulawesi is particularly consistent with the "al-Hima” of the Arabs in the Middle
East
The extent to which secondary school teachers in Jordan have the competence to deal with the linguistic intelligence of their students from the perspective of educational supervisors
High school students possess multiple intelligences, and teachers must deal with each
of them with special methods and strategies in the identification, development,
enrichment and evaluation. Therefore, this study aimed to know the extent to which
secondary teachers possess the competencies of dealing with the linguistic
intelligences of their students from the point of view of educational supervisors in the
governorate Al-Mafraq / Jordan. To achieve the objective of the study, the descriptive
approach was used to prepare a list of secondary teacher competencies to deal with
the linguistic intelligence of their students. The questionnaire was distributed to a
random group of (10(supervisors. The study has reached a number of results, the most
important of which is to determine the extent to which secondary teachers practiced
the skills of dealing with linguistic intelligence from the point of view of supervisors.
The mathematical meanranged from (2.12) and (2.19) Where the competencies of
identification ranked first with the highest arithmetic average of (2.19), while the
general competencies and the competencies of Assessment in the last rank with an
average of 2.12, and the average arithmetic of the tool as a whole (2.15), and the study
came out with a set of recommendations as, hold workshops to develop the
competencies of teachers to deal well with the multiple intelligences of their students
Evaluation of female students' attitudes toward the value of citizenship for the eighth-grade book of national and civic education in the governorate of Ajloun
The paper is an attempt to evaluate female students’ attitudes towards the value
of citizenship in the book of national and civic education in Jordan. It is mainly
built on the key issues surrounding the book of national and civic education.
The study aims to identify female students’ attitudes towards citizenship values
for the eighth-grade book of national and civic education. The study population
consists of (120) eighth-grade students at Anjara Elementary Girls School.
They were selected by a simple random method. In order to achieve the
objectives of the study, a study tool consisting of (37) items was developed,
divided into two areas, values towards women and society, religious, moral and
social values, and then applying pre- and post-test for control and experimental
sample. The results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant
difference between the average performance of female students in the
experimental and control groups on the scale of students' attitudes towards the
post values of citizenship traced to the teaching of national and civic education
book in favour of the experimental group. The study recommended that the
values of citizenship in the national and civic education book for secondary
schools needs to be developed in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to measure
the impact of female student attitudes toward it
Validation of the Image Registration Technique from Functional Near Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) Signal and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Image
Functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) is an
imaging system that can measure hemodynamic changes of the
brain. However, the system incapability to measure beyond the
brain cortex region make it usage less appealing for in-depth
brain studies. To overcome this, many researchers combine fNIRS
with other imaging modalities to gain better understanding of the
brain activities. In this paper, we described the theory of the
registering fNIRS signals and positron emission tomography
(PET) image method and performed experiments to validate it.
The registration method was validated using specially designed
phantom for fNIRS and PET. Polaris system was used to track the
position of the phantom which is based on the Polaris markers
during fNIRS and PET procedures. The Polaris markers share
the same coordinate, thus the fNIRS and PET were calibrated to
each other through these markers. To register the fNIRS signal on
the PET image, the phantom position in fNIRS coordinate is
translated to PET coordinate which allow the probe and the
markers being coordinated in PET. Polaris markers were used as
the references marker to determine the transformation matrices.
The result shows that the fNIRS channel can be viewed on the
PET image of the phantom. The transformation error from
Polaris to PET is less than 1.00 mm and the precision test is less
than 0.1mm while the accuracy is less than 2.8 mm. This result
suggests that our theory on the registration method could be used
for multimodal image registration between fNIRS and other
modalities
