Cosmetic, drug or both? protection of cosmetic users in the context of Malaysia legal paradigm
Currently, due to high demand from female consumers and intense urbanisation, the cosmetic industry in Malaysia is rising steadily. All levels of society use cosmetic products, including personal care, regardless of age, financial condition and gender. Several cosmetic founders have been motivated by ever growing sales to launch variations of cosmetic products for consumer use. Each cosmetic product, however, has its own advantages and disadvantages, often harmful and adverse effects, but Malaysian consumers are not yet aware of the matter. Therefore, shielding cosmetic consumers from any possible flaws that could put them at risk is essential. This paper will therefore analyse, on the basis of an established statistical report, current issues relating to cosmetic products in the domestic market. This study will further analyse the extent to which current Malaysian laws, in particular the Consumer Protection Act 1999, the Sales of Goods Act 1957 and the Drug and Cosmetics Control Regulations 1984, protect consumers from unsafe cosmetic products and what remedies are available If the unsafe cosmetic products consumed by cosmetic users have adverse effects
The failure of Nigerian policies on palm oil
The oil palm tree was originally found in the West African tropical forest; it has been cultivated for
over 8,000 years for food use in Africa. The emergence of palm oil trade started during the British
Industrial Revolution, whereby it was used for machines lubrication. Before the 14th century, Nigeria
was among the few places where the fruit was first discovered. Palm oil serves as the one of the major
vegetable oils produced in the world, generating almost 60% of international trade in vegetable oils.
In 1960s, Nigeria became the major palm oil producing and exporting country in the world, but the
production completely failed as a result of government policies failure to address the issues, while
the domestic consumption has increased. The main objective of this paper, showcases the failure of
Nigerian policies on palm oil, the paper used qualitative method, it applied document analysis and
semi-structured interview, and used inductive thematic analysis to analyse the interview with the
help of Atlas ti software, the finds of the paper are the failed Nigerian policies on palm oil

CSR management (CSRM) of municipalities community projects for sustainable development
Malaysia is committed and confident in achieving the 2030 United Nations Sustainable
Development Agenda. The nation has demonstrated that it is possible to set and achieve the targets through
sustained, systematic and dedicated efforts. This study purposes to analyse selected Municipalities’ CSR
Management (CSRM) Projects from seven (7) United Nation – European Environment Agency (UN-UEA)
framework (Energy, zero waste management, Urban design, Urban environment, Transportation and Water)
implemented in Malaysia. A qualitative multiple case study was conducted in order to carry out the purpose.
The empirical data was collected by doing 10 semi-structured interviews with practitioners of four (4)
selected Melaka’s Municipalities (Majlis Bandaraya Melaka Bersejarah – MBMB, Majlis Perbandaran Hang
Tuah Jaya – MPHTJ, Majlis Perbandaran Alor Gajah – MPAG & Majlis Perbandaran Jasin - MPJ). More
specifically, in the context of Corporate Communication implementation and management of CSR for
improving society sustainable development in Melaka City. Common findings in all seven (7) CSRM
Projects are, a global management team in all organizations, that the organizational goal is in line with the
organizational standard and that all CSRM Projects encounter a local demand. Moreover, all seven (7) CSRM
Projects were found to measure, track and evaluate their processes by using one or a couple evaluation
methods. Lastly, it was clear that all responsibilities within Carroll’s pyramid of CSR were valued within the
participating CSRM Projects and that CSR is believed to become increasingly more important in the future.
The final conclusion of this research is that the importance of CSR will increase in the future for CSRM
Projects and improving society sustainable development based on the current market situation. Furthermore,
CSRM Projects tend to manage and implement CSR in sections based on a global framework. The amount
of local adaptation differs between sections and CSRM Projects, however, if the Triple Bottom Line (People,
Planet and Profit) 3P balance is bigger the sustainable development adaptation tends to be bigger

Contextualising Maqāid al-Sharī'ah and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0
The Maqāid al-Sharī'ah is one of the disciplines that has been given a unique space in various fields of study nowadays.
Though a plethora of studies touched on Maqāid al-Sharī'ah, it rarely linked to the area of STEM education. This
phenomenon is crucial in ensuring that the education world is in the mould of the Maqāid al-Sharī'ah while at the
same time realising the pure will of the Islamic Legal System. STEM Education in the image of the perfect Maqāid alSharī'ah is believed to be able to shape and produce good people in the future, especially in driving a very challenging
industrial revolution. Through a qualitative approach using document analysis, this study attempts to draw out the
basics of education by the Maqāid al-Sharī'ah that can form the perfect and proper thinking. Subsequently, the
investigation continued by discussing the elements of the Maqāid al-Sharī'ah identified in these fundamentals. The
paper revealed that four main components identified in this issue, namely, the belief in good faith, noble morals,
Sharī'ah- based thinking, and professionalising the world. All of these elements acquired by humans through the
process of education. The implication is that the study found that placing the STEM education world in the purview of
the Maqāid al-Sharī'ah should be an influential agenda of national education to drive and meet the challenges of
industrial revolution .. Therefore, this effort should be the attention of the national education policymakers who
must involve scholars in the field
Gamification: A Sharing and Storing Information Model at the Malaysian Institute of Teacher Education
Gamification is a new technique utilising game mechanisms or elements in nongaming contexts for commercial or
educational purposes. While gamification seems to be easy to use in a variety of daily activities, challenges will arise
when online digitizing processes are created and combined with educational apps. Therefore, this article describes the
concept of online gamutation for the purpose of storing and sharing information. The online model is designed to
involve all members of the Teacher Education Institute (IPG) and the public to form a group in the collection and
dissemination of academic knowledge. The information management process at the Teacher Education Institute (IPG)
is often found to be problematic because there is no systematic information storage system. Lecturers and students at
IPG mostly keep their teaching and learning materials individually. This situation results in the loss of information
resources and difficulty in recovering and also tracing information when needed. To solve the problem, the
"Information Sharing for Learning" (iSL) model was developed to manage teaching and learning resources at IPG.
This model is expected to motivate and encourage users to use this application and will further increase the amount of
collection of stored information sources
Do we need you? : The roles of teacher supervisor in embracing Industrial Revolution 4.0
The industrial revolution (IR 4.0) or the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is characterized by the massive
expansion of computation, digitalization, networking and physical processes. The so-called Industry . penetrates
various industries and life domains by paving its way to the global networking system through data transmission.
Thus, the emergence of IR 4.0 may change the dynamic in the teacher supervisor construct. Therefore, this conceptual
paper aims to examine the teacher supervisor roles in the era of IR 4.0. Hence, a conceptual framework is proposed to
identify critical roles played by teacher supervisor which should be retained in embracing IR 4.0. Findings indicate that
supervisor's roles in providing professional conference, encouragement for reflection and emotional support should
