Karekteristik dan Cabaran Tamadun Islam Menurut Pemikiran Muhammad Asad
Orientalism is one of the challenges for the development of the contemporary Islamic civilization whether the Muslim society in general or the Islamic preacher in particular. This becomes a challenge when some orientalists who converted to Islam with the aim of destroying Islam. These people produce writings based on Islam, but presenting the facts which are contradict to the truth in order to bring confusion among Muslims as what has been done by Snouck Hurgronje in Indonesia. However, some orientalists who converted to Islam with the conviction of Islam as the true religion. Therefore, this study focuses on Muhammad Asad (formerly known as Leopold Weiss) (1900-1992) who was a Jewish orientalist and had converted to Islam. This study has found that Muhammad Asad’s civilizational thoughts are clear about the distinguished characterisctics of Islamic civilization namely transcendent, universal, balanced and controlled. While its essential elements include Tawhid, al-Qur'an and al-Sunnah and knowledge. He also identified the main challenges facing the Islamic civilization which are clash of civilizations, Orientalist threats and the worldly (Pseudo) scholars. This study has implications on the urgent needs of civilizational dialogue and the Islamization of education. In summary, Muhammad Asad’s approarch did not reflect himself as a misleading orientalist
Need for Focus on Personality Dimension Impacting Academics of Medical Students
Personality dimensions known to be associated with achievements in individual lives. The present study focuses
on neuroticism that is one of the dimension impacting academics of medical students. This dimension is one of
the big five factors of Eysenckian personality model. The Eysenckian personality model was developed to assess
a specific theoretical model and is still commonly used in educational settings and research. This research study
is a useful in developing awareness among the medical students and they can be educated to prevent the effect of
neuroticism by using mental health exercises. The sample group is 60 medical Students of year one UniSZA,
Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. They were selected by convenient sampling technique. The Eysenckian
personality inventory was used to find out the extent of neuroticism among the sample group. These neuroticism
scores were matched with academic scores to find the association between the two variables. Carl Pearson’s
correlation coefficient method was carried out to find the significance of their association. There was high
prevalence in extent of neuroticism among medical students. Of the 64 subjects 60 were chosen and 4 were
excluded because of invalid answer found in the inventory. High score on Eysenckian personality inventory
showed higher extent of neuroticism among the sample population. The tabulated neuroticism score and
academic scores were statistically analysed to find their association. The results revealed that there were
significant correlation neuroticism and academic scores (r=-0.824, p=<0.001). The study result compatible with
the hypothetical assumption. There was a significant correlation between academic scores and neuroticism
among study sample group. Conclusion: Neuroticism is a one of the personality dimension that has a negative
impact on academic performance of medical students. The hypnotized assumption has been proven in the current
study
COMPARISON OF BODY FAT PERCENTAGE AND PHYSICAL PERFORMANCE OF MALE NATIONAL SENIOR AND JUNIOR KARATE ATHLETES
The purpose of the present study was to compare the body fat percentage and physical performance of male national senior and junior karate athletes. It is hypothesized that the senior and junior athletes could differ regarding their body fat percentage and physical performance profiles. Sixteen male karate kumite competitors of the national karate team (senior n = 8; junior n = 8) participated in this study. The tests applied included both the assessment of selected anthropometric variables (body height, weight and body fat percentage) and the following physical performance measurements: strength (hand grip test), power of lower extremity (vertical jump test), agility (T-test), flexibility (sit and reach test) and maximal oxygen consumption (20- m shuttle run test). The senior athletes revealed a lower body fat percentage (p 0.05). Senior athletes revealed higher in oxygen consumption (p < 0.001). It can be concluded that senior karate athletes’ physical performance are superior compared to the junior athletes
Integrated Waqf Reporting System
Integrated reporting was introduced in 2013 by the International Integrated Reporting Council. However, to date, its implementation is still at a preliminary stage in most countries including Malaysia. The new method recommends the reporting of five additional business capitals in addition to the financial capital as currently reported under the conventional approach. These are manufactured capital, human capital, social capital, intellectual capital and natural capital. The current reporting mainly emphasizes on summarizing past financial performances. This conventional or rules-based framework, however, is inefficient to serve the reporting purpose for waqf administration whose perspective is future oriented, if not infinite. The system was designed for compliance purposes but lacking information on value creation. This research proposes a new proactive reporting system for waqf based on the Islamic accounting and the integrated reporting framework. The system stresses on aligning strategies with financial information and presents how governance, performance and business prospects together, generate value. The study contributes to the existing body of literature by summarizing the current practice for waqf reporting and comparing the conventional and the Islamic reporting. The study then discusses the proposed model, termed as Integrated Waqf Reporting System. This new system emphasizes on future activities in line with further promoting Islamic Social Responsibility and Islamic social financing. This reporting could provide additional value for improving the efficiency of waqf management and sustainability

Proximate and amino acid composition of quail meat treated with mega floral booster addition
This study evaluated the effect of Mega Floral Booster (MFB) as probiotic supplement on the quality properties such as
the carcass yield, physicochemical properties and nutritional composition of quail meat. Mega flora booster is the
multi-probiotic animal feed additive. The treatment is divided to four treatments based on percentage of MFB include
MFB-0.00 (control), MFB-0.05 (0.05% of MFB), MFB-0.20 (0.20% of MFB) and MFB-0.35 (0.35% of MFB). The 18 of
quail species Cortunix japonica (Japanese quail) used as the main material in the study for each treatment. For the first
until fourteen days, the quails are supplied with commercial feed only. After fifteen days, the quails begin provided
with the MFB-0.00, MFB-0.05, MFB-0.20 and MFB-0.35 mixed with commercial feed. The quails for 42 days
slaughtered and deboned of breast and whole leg separated from the bone for analysis. Probiotic supplement (Mega
Floral Booster) had no influence on proximate and amino acid composition. Chemical score and amino acid score was
show tryptophan as amino acid limited. Essential Amino Acid index of breast meats presented MFB-0.20 (61.66%)
higher than MFB-0.00 (60.26%). Thus, Mega Floral Booster is not affecting the nutritional quality of quail meats

Performance study for multimodel client identification system using cardiac and speech signals
A person's physiological or behavioral characteristic can be used as a biometric and provides automatic identification.
There are several advantages of this identification method over the traditional approaches. Overall, biometric
techniques can potentially prevent unauthorized access. Unlike the traditional approaches which uses keys, ID, and
password, these approaches can be lost, stolen, forged and even forgotten. Biometric systems or pattern recognitions
system have been acknowledged by many as a solution to overcome the security problems in this current times. This
work looks into the performance of these signals at a frequency samples of 16 kHz. The work was conducted for Client
Identification (CID) for 20 clients. The building block for these biometric system is based on MFCC-HMM. The
purpose is to evaluate the system based on the performance of training data sets of 30%, 50% and 70%. This work is
evaluated using biometric signals of Electrocardiogram (ECG), heart sound (HS) and speech (SP) in order to find the
best performance based on the complexity of states and Gaussian. The best CID performance was obtained by SP at
95% for 50% training data at 16 kHz. The worst CID performance was obtained by ECG achieving only 53.21 % for
30% data training
