Social Security is the triumph of man on himself is looking for the sources of security and will not
find its elements in other book but Quran. The soul is eager to achieve its own self-realization at
the same time self-hatred of limits and limits until it is blessed with happiness and gives others the
blessing with security, serenity and justice. Security is a human obsession, but it is the greatest
concern in humans since they are on Earth. Security from others this is what we call social security
today. Through this, we deduce that social security has been, and will continue to be, a cherished
hope and a supreme goal that man seeks in his life. It is enough to constantly review the problems
that have plagued the human being since his existence, so that we can understand his fears and the
reason for his quest for peace and tranquility. If we stop around the general concept of social
security we found it includes all aspects of life that concern contemporary man. Social security
includes the subsistence, economic and life stability of the citizen so that he feels that he has fixed
pillars in his society reserved for himself and his family and his money and his entity and
attachment to his land and homeland. Stability in the life of the individual is necessary to keep him
mentally stable. Let us know that there are things if they found, the lives of societies of all kinds
are stabilized. These things are a Qoran, a Religion is followed, a just authority, a comprehensive
justice and a general security
Guidelines of interfaith dialogue in Malaysia context: An Islamic perspective
The study of religion emphasized on the objectivity and scientific approaches.
Different approaches have been used in interfaith dialogue within the Islamic
framework in order to create a harmonious platform of discussion between religions.
Religious polemic, within an extreme platform, could risk the build of society at many
levels as well as affecting religious tolerance among society with different backgrounds
of races and religions. In the context of Malaysia, the implementation of interfaith
dialogue has been a common practice organized by different organizations which
involved common values and different approaches. This paper is to significantly
address the guidelines in conducting interfaith dialogue in the context of Malaysia and
the adaptation of those approaches to improve religious tolerance in Malaysia. The
methodology adopted for this paper is the qualitative approach which included
literature review, observation as well as particular interviews with three people who
represented different religious organizations. The finding shows that even though
interfaith dialogue has been acknowledged as the best platform for religious
discussions, there are still possible improvements and suggestions to be implemented
in its establishment
Criminal attempt in the Malaysian computer crimes act 1997 (Act 563)
A criminal attempt is an offence in traditional laws as it may cause either damage or
the danger of damage. Nonetheless, uncertainty arises with regards to cybercrimes arguably
due to the lack of critical attention paid to attempt of committing cybercrime by other
researchers in this area. As such, this paper intends to analyse the position of the criminal
attempt which is explicitly stipulated in section 7 of the Computer Crimes Act 1997 (CCA).
Further, this paper aims to demonstrate related legal issues pertaining to criminal attempt in
cybercrimes including mere preparation and its relation to criminal attempts of cybercrimes,
mens rea in committing criminal attempt, recklessness in criminal attempt of cybercrimes as
well as impossibility defences for cybercrime attempts. In so doing, section 7 of the CCA will
be critically scrutinised in solving those issues. Apart from that, the paper will also examine
relevant decided cases on criminal attempts for traditional criminal offences. To sum up,
merely preparation in cybercrime shall be an attempt, and mens rea is required in a criminal
attempt to commit cybercrime but in certain situations knowledge of the risk is enough to be
an attempt to commit cybercrime offences
حديث اعدد ستا بين يدي الساعة دراسة تحليلية Hadith of count six signs before the hereafter analytical study
Belief in the Hereafter signs is part of the Pillars of Belief in the Hereafter. Likewise, Belief in the
Hereafter is a part of the Pillars of Faith. Similarly, in the Sunnah, as there are sound hadiths, there
are weak hadiths. What makes the weak hadiths sound is the collection of Hadith’s phrases and
chains of narration scattered among the books of Sunnah, and knowing the phrases of the Hadith
which are in the Two Sahihs (Sound collection of Hadiths) or one of them. The research talks
about some signs of the Hereafter mentioned in the Hadiths, verifying them according to their
references and knowing the phrases which are not in the two Sahihs and then check whether they
are sound or not. Among the aims of the research is to state the signs of the Hereafter and relate
them to the reality we live. With people’s involvement in the overt and covert temptations, it is
incumbent to be armed with knowledge. The research was conducted based on the inductive
analytical methodology to induce all chains of narrators and phrases in the Hadith of Awf bin
Malik, and to analyze them to find out which of Hadith of Awf bin Malik’s narration chains and
phrases are sound or weak. The results have shown that belief in the signs of the Hereafter is part
of the belief in the unseen without which no one’s faith is valid. In addition, it is obligatory to
follow what is mentioned in Hadith either the abundantly narrated or the unique, and that the
Hadith of Awf bin Malik is sound. Moreover, Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) has
witnessed three signs of the Hereafter mentioned in his Hadith
Evaluation of DPPH free radical scavenging, α-glucosidase inhibitory, and antimicrobial activities of aquilaria malaccensis leaf extracts
Herbs and medicinal plants are major ingredients in traditional or folk medicine for many countries of the world,
including Malaysia. This study evaluated the potential of the leaf extract in different solvent polarities and drying
methods of Aquilaria malaccensis, in scavenging free radicals and inhibiting the enzyme α-glucosidase as well as
antimicrobial activities. Both methanol and ethanol extracts in oven dry method were efficient solvents to extract the
antioxidant constituents of A. malaccensis. To analyze α-glucosidase inhibitory activity, the methanol extracts of A.
malaccensis in air dry method exhibited the highest activity with an IC50 value of 196.31 μg/mL. In addition, for the
antimicrobial activity, each extract was tested by a serial two-fold dilution method against selected Gram-positive
bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria, and this suggested that hexane in oven dry method possessed the maximum
antimicrobial activity against the gram-positive bacteria tested. It is suggested that the antioxidant and antidiabetic
properties were exhibited most in a polar solvent (MEOH) whether in air dry or oven dry method with no significant
difference. In contrary with antimicrobial which was efficient in a non-polar solvent (HEX) in oven dry method. These
results indicate that A. malaccensis is a promising source as herbal medicine

Interactive resources of metadiscourse markers in good and weak undergraduate essays
Metadiscourse in writing is the linguistic signals and expressions used by a writer to organise a text
while connecting with readers. This paper reports a preliminary study conducted to discover the
existence of metadiscourse markers from interactive resources category, in good and weak persuasive
essays written by year two undergraduate students at a selected public university in Malaysia. In the
interpersonal model of metadiscourse introduced by Hyland (2005), the two main categories of
metadiscourse are interactive and interactional resources. This study focuses on interactive
metadiscourse because the markers in this category assists a writer to help the flow of ideas in a text.
A collection of undergraduate essays from a public university in Malaysia was collected to create two
corpora of 269 good 271 and weak essays, yielding a total number of 143, 407 and 143, 285 tokens
respectively. These essays were taken from the participants’ final examination answer scripts for
English course at the end of second semester of their study. The metadiscourse markers in the students’
essays were searched with the aid of a concordance software, WordSmith 5.0. More items of
metadiscourse markers are found in good essays as compared to the weaker essays. This finding shows
that the different quality of essays and their ratings affect the frequency of metadiscourse markers in
the essays. However, based on the sub-categories of metadiscourse, only two sub-categories
(transitions and code glosses) were found higher in the good essays while the other three (frame
markers, endophoric markers and evidentials) were higher in the weak essays. Thus, the level of
awareness and needs in using such metadiscourse markers are different between these two corpora.
This study is hoped to path way for further studies on the use of metadiscourse in Malaysian
undergraduates’ essays
Teacher talk in an english for medical purposes classroom
This paper, which is part of a larger study investigating the discourse in an English for
medical purpose (EMP) classroom, discusses the characteristics of teacher talk in the
classroom. Teacher talk is of major importance to the students as it serves a major source of
students’ language input and subsequently their output. Teacher talk affects students’
learning and performance. Classroom interaction is considered a complex process in which
the students and the teachers are in a state of dynamic interactions. Therefore, poor
management of classroom interaction affects learning process in several ways such as
ineffective/inappropriate instructions by the teacher and failure to engage in meaning-making processes. The data in this study were obtained through an interview with the teacher
who is currently teaching an EMP course in one of the medical colleges in the kingdom of
Saudi Arabia. The course aims to prepare students to interact successfully in real –life
situations as well as in medical contexts. The teacher talk in EMP classroom is simplified
and modified to suit the level of the students. The teacher offered clarification in form of
repetition and paraphrasing. The teacher modified his talk to ensure input comprehensibility,
promote classroom interactions, expose authentic language to students and avoid confusion.
Modifications in teacher talk were subject to students’ level and for achieving clarity of
course content. This paper concludes that the teacher talk is modified and simplified to
deliver comprehensible input in order to assist the learners’ language acquisition and
facilitate learning process
A conceptual model of CCRC environment, rehabilitation program and self efficacy on quality of life using maqasid shariah approach
Increasing in the number of drug-abuser population in Care & Cure Rehabilitation
Centre (CCRC) resulted in many of unproductive human resources which affect the social and
economic performance of the country. Previous studies have shown that Quality of Life (QoL)
among CCRC clients is poor as compared to other general population. Thus, it is essential to
examine the driving factors that can motivate them to improve their QoL. This study proposes
a conceptual model to measure QoL based on Maqasid Shariah approach which consists of
five elements such as religion, life, mind, lineage, and property. The proposed model provides
insights to address driving factors that can motivate them to improve their QoL namely CCRC
environment, CCRC program, and self-efficacy. The effort supports the nation’s aspiration for
a healthy, happy and competent nation
