A new 4-D chaotic system with self-excited two-wing attractor, its dynamical analysis and circuit realization
A new four-dimensional chaotic system with only two quadratic nonlinearities is proposed in this paper. It is
interesting that the new chaotic system exhibits a two-wing strange attractor. The dynamical properties of the new
chaotic system are described in terms of phase portraits, equilibrium points, Lyapunov exponents, Kaplan-Yorke
dimension, dissipativity, etc. The new chaotic system has two saddle-foci, unstable equilibrium points. Thus, the new
chaotic system exhibits self-excited attractor. Also, a detailed analysis of the new chaotic system dynamics has been
carried out with bifurcation diagram and Lyapunov exponents. As an engineering application, an electronic circuit
realization of the new chaotic system is designed via MultiSIM to confirm the feasibility of the theoretical 4-D chaotic
model
Spider plot model for analysis of individual appraisal performance towards career planning in organizations
Career planning at the organizational level must be translated into career planning at the individual employee level.
Performance appraisal can be used more broadly so that it can be the main tool for companies in employee career
planning. The purpose of this study is to measure how much influence the Performance Evaluation of Career Planning
from employees who have occupied managerial levels goes to the next career level. In this paper, analysis of individual
employee performance is carried out using the Spider Plot model. The results of analyzing individual performance
from managers in different units can explain quickly and easily the appearance of the Spider Plot diagram. So, it is
expected that individual career planning can be easily mapped through performance appraisal so that it can be used in
career planning
Learning from the Carbon Fiber-Reinforced Plastic Project
Design-Expert V9 software was used to predict the cutting parameters that had an important effect for a particular response. Since the surface roughness for CFRP and Al2024 was recorded as two different responses, the analysis was conducted separately. The obtained results from the experiment are listed in Table 4.1 which is then used for further analysis using Design-Expert V9 software. The input variables were spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut; meanwhile, the responses were surface roughness for CFRP and Al2024. The analysis began with the analysis of CFRP machined surface and then followed by Al2024 machined surface
Challenges for Sustainable Islamic Microfinance Institutions in Malaysia
This paper aims at investigating the operation of Islamic microfinance in Malaysia, analyses the challenges for their sustainability and the possible solutions. Among the notable institutions offering Islamic microfinance in Malaysia are Amanah Ikhtiyar Malaysia (AIM), Yayasan Usaha Maju (YUM) and Tabung Ekonomi Kumpulan Usaha Niaga (TEKUN). Banking institutions and development financial institutions are also a major provider of financing to small and medium size enterprises in Malaysia. It was found out that most of the microfinance institution in Malaysia depend on a single Islamic mode of financing, which is qard hasan and charge a fee for the services other than the loans and there is no integration of zakat and waqf with the microfinance operation. On the other hand, commonly the risk management tools, training and marketing strategies have some shortcoming which might be a threat for their sustainability. Furthermore, the dominance of mainstream banking institution and development financial institutions in providing microfinance may not always be right as they have some limitations. Similarlry, operating under the government might not be a positive approach for the microfinance institutions concerning their efficiency and political influence
