واجملتمع(. واستعان بربانمج احلزمة اإلحصائية SPSS يف حتليل البياانت ابستخدام اإلحصائية ابملتوسط
احلسايب واالحنراف املعياري واالختبار التائي وحتليل التباين األحادي )ANOVA way One .(وخلص
الباحث من تفسري البياانت املعطاة إىل نتائج من أمهها أن مؤشرات اجلودة الشاملة يف واقع عملية تعليم اللغة
العربية يف جامعات جنوب اتيالند كشفت عن جودهتا بداللة عالية يف العملية التعليمية من التوافق بني

Peranan Jantina Sebagai Faktor Penggunaan Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Dalam Kalangan Mahasiswa Kelantan
No full textBidang Strategi Pembelajaran Bahasa merupakan bidang yang penting untuk dikaji. Kajian ini
membincangkan perihal penggunaan strategi pembelajaran bahasa Arab (SPBA) dalam kalangan
mahasiswa Kelantan. Ia juga bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti penggunaan SPBA berdasarkan
jantina. Selain itu, ia juga bertujuan untuk melihat sama ada terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan
pada penggunaan SPBA tersebut berdasarkan jantina. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan
soal selidik kendiri yang diubah suai daripada Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (Oxford
1990) versi 7.0 dengan penambahan konstruk metafizik (Kamarul Shukri 2009). Kajian ini
melibatkan 200 orang pelajar daripada Kolej Islam Antarabangsa Sultan Ismail Petra (KIAS) dan
Akademi Pengajian Islam Universiti Malaya Nilam Puri. Ujian-t digunakan bagi menjawab soalan
kajian dan menguji hipotesis nol. Hasil ujian-t menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan
pada penggunaan strategi pembelajaran bahasa ketika mempelajari bahasa Arab berdasarkan
jantina. Dapatan kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa pelajar perempuan menggunakan strategi
pembelajaran bahasa secara signifikan dan kerap berbanding lelaki
Styrylpyrone derivative of goniothalamus umbrosus: new potential in antiviral activity
No full textThis study aimed to investigate the potential effect of styrylpyrone derivative (SPD) extracted from Goniothalamus umbrosus root against in vitro dengue virus type 2 (DENV-2) replication. In the present study. cytotoxicity of SPD was evaluated using a cell viability assay. Antiviral activity of SPD, was evaluated against different stages of DENV-2 replication in Vero cells using focus forming unit reduction assay Cytotoxicity test of SPD in Vero cells showed that the concentration for 50% of cytotoxicity (CCso) was 42.5 pM (8.5 pg/mL), this indicates that SPD is non-cytotoxic. SPD 50% Effective Concentration (ECso) against DENV-2 was 2.18 pM (0.436 pg/mL) which was less than the CCso value with Selectivity Index (SI) of more than 19. A high SI suggests that SPD would has good antiviral properties. The action-mode study involves penetration, adhesion, time additional, time removal and progeny infectivity test. SPD time addition test has been performed at different time intervals. SPD activity against DENV-2 was found to be most optimum when given at 2 h.p.i. which caused more than 80% focus forming reduction. In time removal assay, treatment with SPO caused 29% focus forming reduction as early as 2 h.p.i. and reached more than 80% after 96 h.p.i. This means that SPD can prevent DENV-2 activity during its earliest replication phase. SPD antivirus activity on DENV-2 attachment process is high because the focus forming reduction percentage is 80% by 25 pM SPD. Results show that SPD mechanism of action in decreasing progeny infectivity is high because the highest percentage value of inhibition percentage is greater than 100%. The results revealed that SPD exerts potent antiviral activity against DENV-2. SPD inhibits intracellular replication of DENV-2 besides possessing direct virucidal activity and reduced DENV-2 adsorption. SPO has good potential for prospective nature-based antiviral agent against dengue virus
Relationship between Work-Life Balance and Quality of Life of Women Employees in Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Malaysia

witnessed a rapid increase of women in the work force, heightening the awareness of work-life issues. In contrast, conflicts between
work and personal life priorities can be catalyst for a low quality of life. Thus this study aimed to investigate the relationship between
work-life balance and the quality of life among women employees in UniSZA, Malaysia. Quantitative method was employed, whereby
data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with IBM-SPSS-AMOS program version 21.0. Three dimensions of
work-life balance were assessed, Work Interference with Personal Life, Personal Life Interference with Work and Personal Life, and
Work/Personal Life Enahncement. The findings revealed that there is high correlation of work-life balance and the quality of life
among women employees in UniSZA, Malaysia
