Effect of activated carbon supported Ce/Fe based catalyst for catalytic oxidative desulfurization of Malaysian diesel fuel
A series of bimetallic nanocatalysts, cerium/iron oxides supported on the activated carbon (Ce/Fe-AC) were prepared
by the impregnation method. Their catalytic activity in the oxidation of organosulfur in commercial diesel were
investigated using tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) as an oxidant. The effect of reaction time, reaction temperature,
dopant ratio and calcination temperature were studied to achieve optimum condition for sulfur removal efficiency. The
results indicated that the Ce/Fe-AC (80:20) calcined at 400 °C was the most potential catalyst in this study and can
remove 91.5% of sulfur under the optimum conditions. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) showed that the catalyst was
highly amorphous, while micrograph of the field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) illustrated an
inhomogeneous distribution of various particle sizes composed of cerium and iron oxides as proven by energy
dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX)
The Cleanliness For A Healthy Life : A Preventive Remedy In Tibbin Nabawi
Tibbin Nabawi (Prophetic Medicine) is a divine remedy for a healthy life and family. Popular
herbal and Ayurveda medicine promote a symbolic narration “prevention is better than cure”.
Likewise, Tibbin Nabawi is divinely instructed and applied in the traditions of the Prophet
Muhammad (s.a.w.) which compassionate both prevention and cure for the human body and
soul. The modern medical science, however, tremendously grabbed some ideas and treatments
that are very much relevant to the natural and divine practice of the Prophet. Tibbin
Nabawi might have accredited one of the best remedy and autophagy to prevent and gradually
cure fatal diseases. This study aims at investigating the relevance to the concept of divine
remedy and the practice of the Prophet called “tibbun nabawi” with special reference to the
concept of taharah or cleanliness. This study also substances to explore the following; i) wudhu
(ablution), and ii) siwaak (tooth-brush). This research first examines tibbin nabawi from main
sources - the Qur’an and Sunnah and the interpretation and approach of Muslim scholars to
formulate a balanced and healthy life. This study finds the concept of tibbin nabawi is an
important means that complements modern medical treatment. Furthermore, tibbin nabawi is a
leading physical and spiritual paradigm to fight the toxic disease of the human body as well as
to reshape the modern medical science which corresponds to the divine practice of the Prophetic
traditions. This study concludes tibbin nabawi has the potential not only in promoting a
‘balanced and healthy lifestyle’ as championed by the Prophet of Islam but also to improve a moderate, healthy and peaceful life which is in favor of the well-being of the human body and
soul

A new 4-D hyperchaotic hyperjerk system with a single equilibrium, its dynamic properties and circuit design
This paper announces a new four-dimensional hyperchaotic hyperjerk system with a single equilibrium and discusses
its dynamic properties such as Lyapunov exponents, phase portraits, Kaplan-Yorke dimension and equilibrium points.
Hyperjerk systems have a nice triangular structure in their dynamics and they have many engineering applications.
Our new hyperjerk system has three nonlinearities in total. New synchronization results based on active backstepping
control are also derived for the new hyperjerk system. In addition, an electronic circuit implementation of the new
hyperjerk system is designed carefully and examined well in MultiSIM. A good qualitative agreement has been shown
between the MATLAB simulations of the theoretical hyperchaotic hyperjerk model and the MultiSIM results
New class of hybrid conjugate gradient coefficients with guaranteed descent and efficient line search
Hybrid conjugate gradient (CG) techniques are one of the most prominent procedure for obtaining the solution of
large-scale unconstrained optimization problems. This is due to its simplicity, global convergence, and low memory
requirement. Numerous modifications have been done recently to improve the performance of these methods. In this
paper, we proposed new class of hybrid CG coefficients with guaranteed descent under exact line search. Numerical
results are presented to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed methodscompared to other classical CG coefficients
The influence of loyalty, education &training, and performance on job promotions
This paper aims: (1) to find out and analyze the influence of loyalty, education & training, and performance, on job
promotions; (2) to find out and analyze the effect of loyalty on job promotions; (3) to find out and analyze the effect
of education & training on job promotions; and (4) to find out and analyze the effect of performance on job
promotions.The study was conducted at the Office of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Regional V Bandung. This
descriptive causal research was conducted to investigate the relationship between variables involving 80 respondents
who had been determined using a sampling method. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression
models.The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that: (1) loyalty, education & training, and
performance simultaneously had a significant effect on job promotions; (2) loyalty performance has a significant
effect on job promotions; (3) education & training have a significant effect on the job promotions; and (4)
performance has a significant effect on job promotions
Sensory evaluation, physicochemical analysis, and glycaemic index of sweet potato (ipomoea batatas) flour composited doughnuts
Background and Aims : Muffins are one of bakery product that been consumed as snack widely by
all aged. Wheat flours are being used as the basic ingredient of muffin and may have limited amount of nutritive
value as compared to the pumpkin flour. The general objective of this study is to determine the sensory acceptance,
physicochemical characteristic and expected glycaemic index of the wheat muffin incorporated with pumpkin flour.
Materials and Methods : The pumpkin flour was prepared and assessed for proximate properties and was used in
the muffin formulation. The muffins were prepared by substituting the wheat flour with pumpkin flour at different
percentage (10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%). The muffin was then being assessed for sensory evaluation and the
three most preferred muffins were chosen for physicochemical analysis and expected glycaemic index. Results :
The results showed that pumpkin flour contain 74.8% carbohydrate, 0.7% fat, 7.4% protein, 12.8% moisture, 4.0%
ash and 0.3% fiber. The substitution of pumpkin flour effects the result in sensory evaluation, as the most preferred
muffins with incorporated pumpkin flour were at 30%, 40% and 50%. It shows that increasing in the volume led to
decreased in firmness and springiness of the muffin. The nutritive value of the wheat muffin incorporated with
pumpkin flour was increased, but expected glycaemic index of incorporated muffin were decrease up to 15.4%
compared to the control muffin. Conclusion : In conclusion, by adding pumpkin flour into the muffin, it can increase
the sensory acceptance of the muffin, volume and the nutritive value of the muffin but decrease the value of
expected glycaemic index of the incorporated muffin
