Prevalence of eating disorder risk and its associated factors among high school adolescents in Terengganu, Malaysia
Eating disorder is most commonly occur among adolescents due to weight concern and
body dissatisfaction. Screening for eating disorders based on early identification of an eating
disorder risk factor can lead to early treatment, thereby reducing serious complication
and psychological complications. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of eating
disorder risk and its associated factors among high school adolescents. A cross-sectional
survey was conducted among 620 school-adolescents aged between 14 and 18 years from
11 secondary schools in Terengganu. Cluster sampling was applied and a self-administered
questionnaire was used to assess 4 main components of the study: Eating Disorder Risk,
Sociodemographic Factors, Substance Misuse Index and Psychological Factor. Eating
Attitude Test (EAT-26) is used to assess risk of eating disorder as it has 3 subscales to
assess an individual’s behaviours, thoughts on dieting, bulimia and food preoccupation
and oral control. Substance Misuse Index drug is divided into 2 main categories licit and
illicit drugs. Psychological factors was measured using validated Malay version of strength
and difficulties questionnaires (SDQ). Prevalence of eating disorder risk among schoolgoing adolescents were 32.3%. The prevalence of eating disordered risk was higher among
girls (18.4%) as compared to boys (13.9%). It was independently associated with emotional
problem (p=0.028, Adjusted OR 1.15, CI 1.02, 1.30) and peer problem (p=0.004, Adjusted
OR 1.23, CI 1.07, 1.42) identified using SDQ after adjusting other variables. Increasing
age also increased the risk for eating disorder (p=0.014, Adjusted OR 1.20, CI 1.04, 1.38).
It was not significantly associated with body mass index (BMI), or any history of any form
of previous abuse. Adolescents with emotional and peer problems are at risk for eating
disordered. It is crucial to screen adolescents identified with these problems for eating
disorders in order to evade or reduce the potential harmful complications associated
with it
Kegagalan Penguasaan Bahasa Inggeris Bagi Murid Di Sekolah Luar Bandar
Kertas kerja ini dijalankan untuk meninjau faktor kegagalan murid
tahap satu sekolah-sekolah rendah di luar bandar dalam
menguasai Bahasa Inggeris. Hal ini kerana pengenalan program
Common European Framework of References (CEFR) masih

Analysis of the effect of career planning, training and career development on employee job performance
Career Planning, Training and Career Development is one of several factors that affect Employee Job Performance.
This paper aims to examine and analyze Career Planning, Training and Career Development influencing Employee
Job Performance at PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Regional V Bandung. Analyzes were performed using multiple
linear regression models with the help of SPSS version 16 software to analyze data. The results of hypothesis testing
and analysis show that Career Planning, Training and Career Development has a significant positive effect on the
Employee Job Performance of PT. Pos Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Regional V Bandung
Tahap Kepuasan Mahasiswa Unisza Dalam MEnjalani Latihan Industri
Istilah latihan industri menerangkan tentang pengalaman pendek yang diperolehi tanpa melibatkan

Determination of Autophagic Activity Of J774a.1 Murine Macrophages Infected With Recombinant Mycobacterium Smegmatis
Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major worldwide health problem which causes more
than 1.3 million deaths annually. The development of a new vaccine as a
replacement of Bacille Calmette Guerin (BCG) or to improve its efficacy is one of the
goals mooted by the World Health Organization (WHO) to control TB.
Mycobacterium smegmatis (M. smegmatis) is nonpathogenic and commensal in
humans, which shares many characteristics with Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.
tuberculosis). Mycobacterial vectors including M. smegmatis have been successfully
used in the development of experimental vaccines against TB. In the current study,
recombinant M. smegmatis expressing selected Ag85B epitopes (P1, P2 and P3)
was constructed (rMs064). Autophagy play important role in delivery of the
intracellular bacteria to simulate the adaptive immune response. Targeting the
autophagy mechanism is a viable approach to enhance the specific immune
response leading to the prevention of new infection or reactivation of latent TB.
Therefore, autophagy modulation of J774A.1 murine macrophages was determined
after infection with rMs064 by monitoring the LC3B-II level by flow cytometry and
western blot. This experiment allows the determination of autophagy modulation as
well as the autophagic flux induced by rMs064 on J774A.1 macrophages. The
results of both assays showed the LC3B-II level were not significantly increased
compared to uninfected macrophages. In conclusion, macrophage activation and
cytokine stimulation may be required for optimal autophagy monitoring assays that
can be modulated by rMs064
Development of CBM-Fusion Protein with Oligomerization Domain (OD) from Pseudomonas aeruginosa Pseudaminidase
Carbohydrate binding module (CBM) from Vibrio cholerae sialidase is located at the
N-terminal region which flank the central catalytic domain of the protein. It is belong
to the Family 40 which recognizes single sialic acid moiety as the binding ligand.
Protein usually tend to have weaker binding affinity towards its substrate, therefore a
multivalent approach was carried out in order to enhance protein binding affinity via
an avidity effect. In this study, DNA fragment encoding the CBM40 from V. cholerae
sialidase was amplified by PCR method before cloning in E. coli BL21(DE3) using
pET-22(b+) as a vector. The gene composed of 174 amino acids from an open
reading frame comprising 522 bp nucleotide sequence. CBM40-fusion protein was
developed by linking the second domain known as Oligomerization domain (OD)
which isolate from Pseudomonas aeruginosa pseudaminidase. The domain consists of
an open reading frame of 321 bp with the ability to form a trimeric protein molecule.
The OD domain was amplified by PCR method with the addition of BamH1 and EcoR1
sites before ligation was performed on pET-22b(+) vector. In addition, five amino
acids linker length was generated to flank in the CBM and the OD domain. Choices of
fusion linkers were designed composed of flexible residues like glycine (G) and serine
(S) which are flexible group of amino acids. This recombinant fusion construct was
cloned into the pET-22b(+) vector and transform into E. coli BL21 (DE3) host.
Positive recombinant fusion molecule was identified by colony PCR and confirmed by
DNA sequencing techniques. A comprehensive characterization of the recombinant
fusion proteins is currently under evaluation. This CBM-OD construct has a big
potential to be developed as a therapeutics agent to combat harmful pathogens
which recognize sialic acid as the binding substrate
