Verification of the Use of Artificial Intelligence to Create a Timeline Axis with Mixed Media Evidence
Within the modern-day courtrooms in the United States, any and all information presented to the jury can be critical to the case. This includes the presentation of evidence. There are several methods to present evidence to the jury but an emerging, effective method is the timeline axis. It constitutes putting timed data in chronological order to present the case as a timeline. While this method is effective, it is incredibly time consuming and prone to error. With the recent development of AI chatbots, the time consuming role can be bypassed. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the feasibility of using GPT 3.5 to create a timeline axis of various crimes that would be, or have been, presented to a jury. It was hypothesized that the machine would perform accurately enough to be deemed reasonable for this use. The data sets used to test the machine ranged from national crises such as nine-eleven, to prominent serial killers such as Richard Ramirez, and international spies such as Robert Hanssen. It was determined that the machine was accurate enough to be considered for real world use

Ligand-to-metal charge-transfer states in emissive d\u3csup\u3e0\u3c/sup\u3e metallocenes: Design strategies for titanocene based photocatalysts
Complexes of d0 transition metals with photoactive ligand-to-metal charge-transfer (LMCT) excited states have recently shown significant promise as photocatalysts involving earth-abundant metals. Over the past four decades, a handful of examples of metallocenes with d0 metals (ScIII, ZrIV, HfIV, NbV, and TaV) have demonstrated emission from LMCT states in room-temperature (RT) fluid solution. Recently, Cp2TiCl2 has also been shown to act as a photocatalyst, despite a lack of emission in RT solution. In fact, emission from LMCT states for TiIV complexes in RT fluid solution has been elusive. This review summarizes the findings of earlier investigations into emissive ScIII, ZrIV, HfIV, NbV, and TaV metallocenes to extract clues regarding design principles for emissive metallocenes. Complexes of the type Cp2TiX2 (where X = halide or pseudohalide) are emissive only at 77 K, and are discussed as the first examples of emissive titanocenes. Complexes of the type Cp2Ti(C2R)2 (where R = ferrocenyl or an aryl substituent) have recently been investigated for their C2R-to-TiIV LMCT states. The first example of a TiIV complex with an emissive ligand-to-TiIV LMCT state in RT fluid solution is Cp2Ti(C2Ph)2. However, this complex undergoes efficient photodecomposition. Coordination of CuX (X = Cl, Br) between the alkyne ligands results in complexes that are significantly more photostable but not emissive in RT fluid solution. Mechanistic investigations suggested that the main path for nonradiative decay for such complexes involves excited-state structural reorganization. A titanocene with greater steric bulk, Cp⁎2Ti(C2Ph)2CuBr, is emissive in RT THF solution (λmax = 693 nm, Φem = 1.3 ×10–3, τ = 0.18 μs). The possible role of the Cp⁎ ligand in facilitating emission in titanocenes is discussed
Current Events Knowledge Accuracy
This research looks at established methods of; what type of news source high school students primarily get their information from and how that affects their accuracy of knowledge on current events. Having an accurate knowledge of current events is very important, especially for high school students who are nearing or have already reached the voting age. For them to successfully improve their communities and make political changes they must have a valid and relatively unbiased understanding of what the current global political arena looks like as well as major events that are taking place around the world. When high school students are not aware of current events social tension and conflicts can be a consequence. A variety of high school students filled out a current events survey and data was analyzed based on where they got their news from and their accuracy percentage on the survey. There will also be an experiment to show which media type is most credible. In the experiment, which will have participants divided into three different groups: legacy media, digital age media, and social media, they will all study a source from their news type and with a pre-quiz and post-quiz it will be determined which news type contains the most accurate information
The Effect of Levels of Cushioning on Athlete Fatigue During a Series of Vertical Jumps
Physical fatigue and injury are common in sports and can either be from short term or chronic events. Injuries are more likely to happen in high school and college athletes because of uneven growth patterns of bones, muscles, and tendons. Assessing the optimal conditions of a vertical jump could decrease the risk of injury in athletes. The purpose of this study was to find the optimal level of cushioning to reduce athlete fatigue and increase consistency. It was hypothesized that an increase in cushioning would increase consistency in jumps and decrease levels of fatigue. This research is important because it explores ways to minimize and prevent injury to growing athletes during vertical jump tasks. These results provide a basis for actions to be taken to standardize these techniques that reduce injuries in vertical jumping tasks across sports. A force plate was jumped off of 30 times with the intention to reach maximum height across four trial groups. The output data from the force plate was used to create a time-force curve analysis and the peak force values were used for analysis. The data showed that consistency and cushioning were directly proportional, while fatigue and cushioning were indirectly proportional. Results of a one-way ANOVA test with an alpha level of 0.05 suggests that there was a significant difference between trial groups (p\u3c0.001). A post-hoc Tukey test confirmed that there was a significant difference between the control and high jump, as well as the running and high jump groups
