Implications of Illinois Teacher Evaluation Reforms: Insights from Principals
This study investigated principals’ perceptions of Illinois teacher evaluation reforms, applying education policy implementation theory and micropolitics of personnel evaluation as conceptual frameworks. Interviews were conducted with 20 Illinois public school principals. Findings revealed micropolitics influenced the development and implementation of local evaluation procedures that were favorable to educators. Principals perceived student growth scores unduly inflated summative ratings, hindering them from rating educators as underperforming and subsequently assigning improvement plans. Despite challenges, participants believed improvement plans were important levers to hold educators accountable for improving their performance.https://opus.govst.edu/fac/1001/thumbnail.jp
Widening the Feminist Lens: Gillian Flynn\u27s Exploration of Female Villainy
Gillian Flynn challenges fiction\u27s male-dominated presence by asserting female presence in number, relevance, and agency. Instead of following patriarchal expectations which maintain that female characters must be virtuous, Flynn evokes female villains whose complexities and monstrous actions extend beyond the limits of the Gothic tradition from which she draws. Although Flynn champions female agency within her fiction, her efforts meet harsh criticism from mainstream audience, specifically regarding Gone Girl. I assert the backlash stems from the audiences\u27 failure to see Amy\u27s character apart from their own expectations of what a feminist character must represent. While feminism in general means supporting efforts for women\u27s equality in all aspects of life, and rightly so, feminism must also be understood as an individualized need since women require different forms of feminist support based on their own, unique context; thus, feminism is both a universal and individual necessity. Flynn demonstrates this feminist duality through her unique explorations of female villainy which widen fiction\u27s feminist lens

Bond Valence Sum Analysis on Compounds Prepared by Topochemical Manipulation
The Bond Valence theory of Brown (1978) has been extensively used to correlate metal oxidation state to coordination environment in solids. Although the bond valence sum (BVS) appears to be extremely useful to coordination chemists, it has not often been applied as an alternative measure of refinement quality. In this work, previously reported six layered perovskite compounds including, RbLaNb2O7, Rb2LaNb2O7, Rb2SxLaNb2O7 (x ≤ 0.8), NaLaNb2O7, (Cs2Cl)LaNb2O7, and (FeCl)LaNb2O7, that have been prepared by topochemical manipulation and their structures have been determined by Rietveld refinements were analyzed. Our focus was to explore whether the determination of oxidation state using the bond distances derived from the Rietveld refinement method could be used to validate structure determination along with the reported goodness of fit values, χ2 , in the published structure. Good agreement between the calculated and the expected oxidation states would provide support for the chemical formula and the accuracy of a crystal structure determination.
We applied the concept of the BVS method for selective metal ions including, niobium (Nb), lanthanum (La), rubidium (Rb), sodium (Na), cesium (Cs), sulfur (S), and iron (Fe). For all these metal ions, the final values resulted from BVS calculations for the six compounds overall showed good agreement between the calculated and the expected oxidation. Although this method is empirical, it can nevertheless help us to identify important trends when a series of related and similarly prepared samples are prepared
Registration Management System for an Online Learning
As there are so many changes occurring in the current education system. If we see the last 2 years, most of the student community faced a lot of issues in attending classes. To overcome all those issues, all the educational organizations transformed their current manual teaching-learning system into an online learning system. Sudden transformation to an E-Learning system is creating issues like managing the students, schedules, communication, and other information. Keeping all this in mind, we want to manage all the student and teacher data with the help of automating the current manual system. To learn the courses online, educational institutes need to automate physical services. For doing this, a registration management system needs to be implemented. This registration system will be managing the data of students, teachers, course details, etc. For doing such operations the application will be categorizing the users into 3 types of students, teacher, and admin. The main objective of this application is to manage the student\u27s and teachers’ data. Students who want to learn need to register with the application and then they need to sign up. This will add security to the application and the student will be identified with the help of a username and password. All the personal information of students and teachers will be maintained, they will be given additional features like adding the details, updating the data, deleting the data, searching for the data, etc. Existing applications will not suit the requirements of our system, that is the reason a new application needs to be developed. As per the requirements of the application, the estimated project completion date is 12th December 2022
Career Engine
One of the greatest solutions for recruiting websites is Career Engine. This system may be used as an online job portal to manage unemployed people or to give better job placement information. Many job-search websites are springing up these days, offering information on jobs available in various parts of the country and disciplines. Our application is used to discover jobs for both job seekers and businesses in need of candidates. With the proper login, our application is online software that can be seen both within and outside of the firm. When checking in, users should be able to upload their information in the form of a CV. Recruiters who log in can search any information submitted by Job seekers. It provides recruiters with all the tools they need to schedule interviews, allows candidates to register and apply for employment, and allows interviewers to review interview details. It gives users all the necessary rights to access and modify the data that is meant for them.
In our application, there are three consoles. Job searchers, recruiters, and administrators are all included. The administrator may manage users and job postings. Recruiters are only permitted to post job openings, contact prospects, and conduct interviews. Job searchers must create an account on the website before applying for a position or rating a company. We are developing an application that will handle the functionalities using .NET Core logic in Visual Studio [3]. In addition, we will use web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript to create and maintain the application, and the database will be MSSQL [2]
Rent-A-Car
Our goal is to build a data management system for a car rental company. This enables the admin to rent a vehicle to a customer. This system increases customer retention while simplifying vehicle and personnel management. The interface of this software car Rental System is very user-friendly. As a result, users will find it extremely simple to work on. Administrators can use this system to manage customer confirm and cancel booking requests, customer testimonials, and customer issues. The vehicle data can be entered into the system. Administrators can also modify or delete existing vehicle data. There is no delay in the availability of any car information; it can be captured quickly and easily whenever required.
In this application, we had three primary responsibilities: admin, renter, and owner. Renters can locate their vehicles and communicate with the owners, owners can upload vehicle information, and administrators can manage accounts and vehicles in this application. We chose the PHP CodeIgniter framework to build our car rental website, which includes HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript for the user interface and MySQL for the database
