The goal of the project is to create a standard web-based online platform for renters and homeowners so that both parties may profit from the system. This essay discusses the creation of online apps for citizens, through intelligent communication with the homeowner, owners and renters may register and tenants can have residences for rent. In this, a standard web application for smart house rentals has been created for both renters and homeowners. This online application is incredibly user-friendly, and effective, and it offers a lot of distinctive features that aren\u27t provided by other house rental websites that are now available in Bangladesh. Using online apps that have been built, tenants may register with their phone numbers, store identifying information, look for available homes, communicate with homeowners, and select a suitable home. Instructors and Students can now search and enroll in learning courses from the convenience of their own homes. The student/instructor can use an online learning website to find courses that align with their interests and career path. An Online Learning Management System may significantly improve a student’s course application process and an instructor’s enrolling process for their courses by utilizing the internet (Jeremy Roschelle, 1992). Seeking and enrolling in a course has grown simpler, more accessible, and faster in recent years.
One of the primary features of enrolling in a course online is the availability of a wide range of categories of subjects for the courses. Course seekers may simply enroll in a broad range of courses by logging in and browsing the courses in the dashboard. Apart from that students can view their courses any time by logging in to the web application and entering the student homepage.
Similarly, internet course enrollment services may assist instructors in expediting their enrollment process. Instructors can easily create, update, or disable their courses in the web application with a few clicks. As a result, Online Learning Management Systems save them time and effort.
The cost of walk-in enrollments would be too high for the instructor. Aside from transportation and meals, the instructor must also invest capital in professional clothing and cannot present multiple courses at a single stretch. The Online Learning Management System allows the instructor to host his courses in the web application without breaking the bank.
In the proposed Online Learning Management System, the students and instructors can register themselves in the application. Students and instructors are assigned different roles. The student can see a list of courses and can apply to any course that matches his/her interest or career path.Similarly, instructors can add new courses and view their profits in the dashboard when students purchase his/her course.
To implement the frontend module of the project Bootstrap, jQuery, JavaScript and HTML5 is being used. Java and Spring boot MVC is being used for the backend module of the web application. MySQL is used to store the user and course data.
The web application consists of two different roles as follows: the users with student roles will be able to view a course title, instructor name, and brief description of the course and purchase the course by providing their credit/debit card details. The instructor role user can create, edit, and disable their course in the web application after registration

The administrator may use Career Engine to get into the system, authorize a vacancy, and post it on the web. Job searchers and recruiters are managed by the administration. Job searchers may also log in and search for open opportunities. They can apply for work by presenting their stuff, such as a resume. Our career engine online application will be responsively maintained. This will adjust web pages to fit the size of the device\u27s window. Women With Many Hats: The Lived Experience of Tenure-Track Mothers With A CACREP Accredited Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision
Get PDFPrior to the 1950s, most women did not have a career, and instead would marry, have children, and become stay-at-home mothers (Brykman, 2016; Coontz, 2016; Friedan, 1997). Since the 1950s, more mothers began careers, causing them to struggle with feeling obligated to take care of their children and experiencing guilt for taking time away from their family (Allabaugh, 2013; Blair-Loy, 2003; Friedan, 1997; Gilbert, 2008; Norr, 2011; Trepal & Stinchfield, 2012; Ward & Wolf-Wendel, 2004). The focus in this dissertation was to study the experience of mothers who worked toward tenure and held a Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) doctorate in counselor education and supervision (CES). Results showed some of the mothers working toward tenure found it difficult to manage both childcare and household duties due to the high demands of their careers. Work-life balance played an important role in preventing bumout and feelings of guilt
Alumni Perceptions of the Educational Benefits of Their Graduate Degrees from a PBI
No full textMuch of the research on the benefits of graduate education for minority students has focused on Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Little has been done on Predominantly Black Institutions. This case study attempts to shed light on alumni perceptions of the benefits of their graduate education at a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI), Chicago State University. The researchers surveyed the accessible population of Chicago State University alumni who completed requirements for their master’s and doctoral degrees between the academic years 2008 and 2018. Results indicate that perceived benefits fell into two categories: 1) personal benefits that accrued to the graduate and 2) enabling benefits that encouraged the completion of graduate study. Personal benefits included personal fulfillment, an enhanced knowledge of a profession or discipline, and advancement in a career including promotions and salary raises, while some enabling benefits included perceived program quality, the financial accessibility of graduate study at a PBI, and a supportive learning environment. Findings from this study of alumni can lend insights to effective approaches to teaching graduate students from diverse backgrounds.https://opus.govst.edu/fac/1304/thumbnail.jp
‘They Gave Me Nothing’: Marriage, Slavery and Divorce in Twentieth-Century Abeokuta
No full textDuring the early twentieth century, several hundred women in colonial Abeokuta initiated divorce proceedings against their husbands, who were also frequently their masters. The legal records associated with their cases offer important clues about how women – both freeborn and slave – contested the terms of their marriages using the colonial courts. This article examines how and why these women used new interpretations of marriage, which were introduced by European Christian missionaries and the British colonial administrators in order to challenge established traditions. It reveals how colonial native courts approached indigenous norms surrounding marriage and slavery: colonial interventions gave freeborn women a measure of agency within marriage which was also somewhat unexpectedly extended to slave wives. Through an exploration of court judgements, this article demonstrates the effects of colonial intervention on marriage and slavery and the role of the colonial courts in local matrimonial disputes and practices and investigates how they empowered enslaved wives.https://opus.govst.edu/fac/1212/thumbnail.jp
Relationally Responsive Expert Trustworthiness
No full textSocial epistemologists often operationalize the task of indirectly assessing experts’ trustworthiness to identifying whose beliefs are more reliably true on matters in an area of expertise. Not only does this neglect the philosophically rich space between belief formation and testimonial utterances, it also reduces trustworthiness to reliability. In ethics of trust, by contrast, explicitly relational views of trust include things like good will and responsiveness. One might think that relational aspects can be safely set aside for social epistemology of trust in experts, that such considerations may be relevant for personal relationships but not for expert trustworthiness. Against these claims I argue for the social-epistemic relevance of relational aspects of trust in experts, and to that end I discuss three sorts of considerations – responsively positive, neutral, and negative factors – that can make a difference for expert trustworthiness.https://opus.govst.edu/fac/1105/thumbnail.jp

Sexual Assault: The Burden of Proof for Survivors
No full textSexual assault is a global concern impacting individuals of all ages, races, and socioeconomic statuses. The violation of sexual assault can adversely affect an individual\u27s physical, mental, economic, and social well-being. This literature review examined 25 articles to provide a scope of the current affairs on sexual assault as a pattern of intimate partner violence in the United States. This review explores vulnerable populations, gaslighting tactics, rape myths, and how disbelief reduces survivor reporting and increases trauma, including PTSD. Sexual abuse in intimate relationships is examined from a woman\u27s viewpoint; however, gender-neutral language is used throughout. The review considered women\u27s perspectives because of the high rates of violence committed by men against women. A multi-disciplinary approach that includes medical, mental health, law enforcement support, and advocacy lessens secondary victimization and empowers survivors attempting to resolve their case within the criminal justice system.
