Donna Bulatowicz Interview, February 7, 2025
Donna Bulatowicz (she/her) currently lives in Maryland after spending her first 19 years in Billings, Montana, then moving to Oklahoma, California, Pennsylvania, back to Montana, and eventually, Maryland. Bulatowicz compares the culture of Billings from her childhood to present day, noting that Billings used to be much more discriminatory towards queer people. Bulatowicz has a passion for inclusive children’s literature which led to her participation in a book award committee and formerly worked as an elementary teacher. She discusses her experiences as a lesbian in Montana and how that led to discrimination in healthcare and the workplace.https://scholarworks.umt.edu/queermontana_oralhistories/1005/thumbnail.jp
