Fundamentals of Microwave and RF Design

    No full text
Fundamentals of Microwave and RF Design enables mastery of the essential concepts required to cross the barriers to a successful career in microwave and RF design. Extensive treatment of scattering parameters/ that naturally describe power flow/ and of Smith-chart-based design procedures prepare the student for success. The emphasis is on design at the module level and on covering the whole range of microwave functions available. The orientation is towards using microstrip transmission line technologies and on gaining essential mathematical/ graphical and design skills for module design proficiency. This book is derived from a multi volume comprehensive book series/ Microwave and RF Design/ Volumes 1-5/ with the emphasis in this book being on presenting the fundamental materials required to gain entry to RF and microwave design. This book closely parallels the companion series that can be consulted for in-depth analysis with referencing of the book series being familiar and welcoming.https://mds.marshall.edu/oa-textbooks/1647/thumbnail.jp

Microwave and RF Design: Radio Systems

    No full text
Microwave and RF Design: Radio Systems is a circuits- and systems-oriented approach to modern microwave and RF systems. Sufficient details at the circuits and sub-system levels are provided to understand how modern radios are implemented. Design is emphasized throughout. The evolution of radio from what is now known as 0G/ for early radio/ through to 6G/ for sixth generation cellular radio/ is used to present modern microwave and RF engineering concepts. Two key themes unify the text: 1) how system-level decisions affect component/ circuit and subsystem design; and 2) how the capabilities of technologies/ components/ and subsystems impact system design. This book is suitable as both an undergraduate and graduate textbook/ as well as a career-long reference book.https://mds.marshall.edu/oa-textbooks/1648/thumbnail.jp

    Trigonometry

    No full text
The precursors to what we study today as Trigonometry had their origin in ancient Mesopotamia/ Greece and India. These cultures used the concepts of angles and lengths as an aid to understanding the movements of the heavenly bodies in the night sky. Ancient trigonometry typically used angles and triangles that were embedded in circles so that many of the calculations used were based on the lengths of chords within a circle. The relationships between the lengths of the chords and other lines drawn within a circle and the measure of the corresponding central angle represent the foundation of trigonometry - the relationship between angles and distances.https://mds.marshall.edu/oa-textbooks/1523/thumbnail.jp
