The effectiveness of DBT-C in Global Developmental Delay
It is an attempt to incorporate the DBT-C in the treatment plan for children with Global Developmental Delay. Clinical Intern
In this work, I describe the client that I worked with and their background information necessary to participating and understanding the therapeutic work conducted. I describe their symptoms, diagnoses, and case conceptualization. The clinical intervention used to examine change is described as well as the measure used to track any changes
Graffiti and Gentrification
This paper takes an idea from Tommy Orange\u27s There There and brings it into the real world. The idea talked about is the connection between graffiti and gentrification, with two of the sources in the paper being people who are living through this, one of which being a graffiti artist, and the other fighting against gentrification where she lives
The Earth has humans, so why don’t our climate models?
While climate models have rapidly advanced in s 37 ophistication over recent decades, they lack dynamic representation of human behavior and social systems despite strong feedbacks between social processes and climate. The impacts of climate change alter perceptions of risk and emissions behavior that, in turn, influence the rate and magnitude of climate change. Addressing this deficiency in climate models requires a substantial interdisciplinary effort to couple models of climate and human behavior. We suggest a multi-model approach that considers both a range of theories and implementations of human behavior and social systems is required, similar to how a multi-model approach has been used to explore the physical climate system. We describe the importance of linking social factors with climate processes and identify four priorities essential to advancing the development of coupled social-climate models

We Are Not the Same
In my poem, I included characters that I felt a connection with. I chose to write this poem to shine light on the common misconceptions of raises, cultures, ethnicities, and religions. I chose a poem to retell this story because I felt that by creating a short piece of literature, it may grab the attention of my readers. I chose to focus on the difference between these characters
Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy: An Implementation to Treat Trauma-Related Symptoms of a Teenage African American Male
Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) is a widely used evidence-based treatment model for trauma-exposed children and adolescents. TF-CBT was implemented to treat a teenager with behavioral issues and lack of communication with family. This client was fit for TF-CBT as his trauma was stemmed from traumatic events from his biological father. The client has undergone some of the components of TF-CBT and has a better understanding of the impact of these traumatic events. No outcomes of the intervention. The client is still undergoing treatment
Cognitive Restructuring: The effect on Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder
Cognitive restructuring interventions were used in order to combat automatic negative thought patterns and rigid thinking that led to maladaptive behaviors
Exposure Therapy/Systematic Desensitization
Building a fear ladder allows the client to construct an Exposure Hierarchy along with therapist-directed efforts in which feared stimuli are ranked according to anticipated fear reaction. The Exposure Hierarchy is used as an effective technique toward reducing anxiety through repeated presentation of what evokes the anxiety until the discomfort is decreased. Mildly feared stimuli is first targeted, followed by more strongly feared stimuli toward reaching client\u27s goal
