Role of market orientation in affecting entrepreneurial competencies in turbulent environments / Muhammad Hanif ... [et al.]
Entrepreneurship plays a crucial part in advancing the economy. There are very few studies that have examined the outcome of the market orientation (MO) proceeding developing entrepreneurial competencies (EC). We collected data from entrepreneurs in different Pakistani cities using a survey design. A sample size of four hundred and twenty-two was obtained, based on simple random sampling. Regression and moderation analyses were conducted using Jeffrey’s Amazing Statistics Program (JASP). Results suggested a very strong effect of MO in developing EC. Environmental turbulence (ET) also had a significant role in moderating the aforementioned relationship. More so, market oriented firms had a very strong focus on developing and enhancing competencies in highly turbulent environments. Entrepreneurial firms may benefit from this study by considering the benefits of adopting a market orientation. Entrepreneurs should have a strong market orientation, particularly in times characterized by high levels of ET. Future studies can look at the role of dimensions of market orientation and environmental turbulence in effecting specific competencies from multiple contextual perspectives

Power of Andrographis paniculata: molecular docking of Andrographolide and its derivatives targeting Interleukin-1 Beta to Treat Anti-inflammation / Mohamad Iman Haikal Che Nor Salahuddin
The study revealed the molecular docking of Andrographolide and its derivatives towards Interleukin-1 Beta as a key protein in anti-inflammatory drug design using AutoDock Vina, AMDock and PyMol applications. Among all compounds, CHEMBL4887996 exhibited the highest binding affinity (-8.0 kcal/mol) and stability, followed by andrographolide and its derivatives with scores ranging from -7.3 to -6.8 (kcal/mol). All compounds target the same binding site to form hydrophobic and hydrogen bonds. Therefore, the compound CHEMBL4887996 showed the most stable interaction based on this study. These findings highlight the potential of CHEMBL4887996 as a superior anti-inflammatory agent, especially for treating diabetic patients and optimizing drug design

Measuring senior english instructors' acceptance of WeCWI-Enabled Web-Based Instruction through the TAM model / Wang Jing, Dr. Boon Yih Mah and Prof. Madya Dr. Rofiza Aboo Bakar
Despite advancements in information and communication technology (ICT) and the adoption of web-based instruction (WBI) in Chinese universities, students' writing skills are hindered by traditional teaching methods. The conventional cramming approach focuses on memorisation and exam performance rather than genuine comprehension and creativity. Instructors often revert to these outdated methods due to limited ICT skills and knowledge. WeCWI-enabled WBI, designed based on Web-based Cognitive Writing Instruction (WeCWI), was implemented in an EFL blended learning classroom at a university in China to address this problem. A hybrid instructional platform, integrating Mosoteach and WeChat Public Account, was developed to enhance English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners' writing performance. This platform emphasises improving writing skills through substantial reading inputs, collaborative writing, and instant feedback. This paper examines senior English instructors' acceptance of WeCWI-enabled WBI to refine the approach before its full implementation in classrooms. In-depth interviews grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) were conducted, and the data were analysed using holistic content analysis. The study aims to measure the acceptance of WeCWI-enabled WBI and help instructors design effective activities for collaborative learning. The results demonstrate the feasibility of WeCWI-enabled WBI, highlighting its clear manual and its effectiveness in stimulating students' interest. The practical implications of this research indicate that instructors significantly favour WeCWI-enabled WBI, supported by a detailed manual. They recognise that WeCWI-enabled WBI improves students' writing skills and increases their motivation and participation in learning. The study findings can help educators integrate web-based tools for better learning outcomes

Antibacterial and physicochemical properties of palm and olive-based wax esters / Mohammad Fawwaz Mazlan ... [et al.]
Palm-based and olive-based wax esters which are oleyl palmitate and oleyl oleate have been successfully synthesized using an esterification reaction. The products were verified using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to determine the presence of ester bond in their molecular structure. The synthesized wax esters were further analysed for their antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. In screening of an antibacterial activity, the agar diffusion test was employed. Minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) value was determined by microdilution method. The results showed that both Gram-positive bacteria, which are S. aureus and B. subtilis had high sensitivity toward oleyl oleate and oleyl palmitate. MBC (minimum bactericidal concentration) was determined to evaluate the antibacterial properties of both synthesized wax esters towards Gram-positive bacteria. Two antibacterial activities including bactericidal effects (killed the bacteria), or bacteriostatic effect (inhibit the bacterial growth) were determined by MBC value. Both wax esters possess a bactericidal effect towards all the Gram-positive bacteria studied. Finally, the physicochemical properties such as SPF value, peroxide value, saponification value and iodine value of both wax esters have been successfully determined and the data obtained suggest that the synthesized wax esters can be used as main ingredients in cosmetics formulation
