From airwaves to earbuds: the rising influence of podcasts in modern communication / Muhammad Nabihan Abu Bakar and Masliya Yahya
In today's fast-changing world, where each day feels like an urgent race to keep up, podcasting provides a wonderful opportunity to pause, listen, and connect. In this context, we see that people have always been fascinated by how they create and use culture to tackle challenges. Podcasting stands out as one of the transformative tools reshaping how we share ideas, amplify voices, and question existing media structures. It achieves this in ways we could not have foreseen even a decade ago. What causes podcasting so effective? First, it meets us exactly where we are. Unlike traditional media, podcasts do not require your undivided attention or a slot on your calendar. They integrate seamlessly with our lifestyles, whether we're on a long journey, working in the gym, or enjoying coffee on a calm morning. Podcasting is one of the most effective ways to express ideas and pique people's interest because of its versatility

Operationalizing adaptive team performance: design, validation, and application of instruments in law enforcement / Norsyazwani Ab Halim, Azlyn Ahmad Zawawi and Nur Zafifa Kamarunzaman
This paper presents the concept of adaptive team performance in the context of law enforcement, focusing on how teams can respond effectively to dynamic and often unpredictable challenges. Adaptive performance is important for teams that must make quick decisions, solve complex problems, and maintain effectiveness in high-pressure situations. Based on existing literature, this study identifies key dimensions of adaptive team performance, including handling emergencies, managing stress, solving problems creatively, dealing with uncertainty, training and learning efforts, interpersonal adaptability, cultural adaptability, and physical adaptability. It also explores the antecedents influencing adaptive behavior, such as individual characteristics, job autonomy, group dynamics, and organizational support. This study involves a review of selected literature to identify and synthesize relevant dimensions and antecedents of adaptive performance. The items from each adaptive performance dimension and antecedent were coded and subjected to thematic analysis to uncover underlying patterns and interrelationships. A systematic categorization of items was conducted, leading to the development of an adaptive performance framework. The adaptive performance framework focuses on key concepts from existing research to provide a comprehensive understanding of adaptive performance and how it can be fostered within organizations. This framework is particularly relevant for high-stakes environments like law enforcement, where adaptability is crucial for success
Exploring students’ perceptions on online learning environment across disciplines / Muhammad Zulfadhli Saifuddin … [et al.]
While online education is not a new phenomenon, the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a sudden shift to online learning, significantly impacting the higher education sector. This study investigates students' perceptions of their online learning environment across different disciplines at Universiti Teknologi MARA. Utilizing the How People Learn (HPL) framework by Bransford et al. (2004), the study explores four dimensions: learner-centred, community-centred, assessmentcentred, and knowledge-centred learning environments. A quantitative approach with purposive sampling was employed, gathering data from 231 students across Applied Sciences, Business Management, and Social Sciences and Humanities. The study reveals that, while students perceive their online learning environments positively, there are notable differences across disciplines. Business Management students reported higher satisfaction in community and assessment-centred dimensions. In contrast, Applied Sciences and Social Sciences and Humanities students indicated room for improvement in integrating prior knowledge and collaborative activities. These findings highlight the need for tailored strategies to enhance the effectiveness of online learning environments across various disciplines. By highlighting these variations, the findings highlight the importance of discipline-specific strategies in optimizing online learning. Tailored pedagogical approaches, faculty development initiatives, and supportive technological infrastructures can address each field’s unique challenges, thereby fostering more inclusive and effective online learning experiences across diverse academic contexts
Optimizing PV integration using COA: power loss reduction and voltage stability under time-varying loads / Siti Salwa Mat Isa ... [et al.]
The increasing use of renewable energy (RE) especially photovoltaic (PV) systems has made it essential to optimize their integration into power distribution networks, especially under time-varying load conditions. This study addresses the challenge of aligning PV generation with fluctuating load demands to reduce power losses and enhance voltage stability by analyzing the impact of multiple PV systems on industrial, residential and commercial loads within the IEEE 69-bus distribution network. The Coyote Optimization Algorithm (COA) is employed to determine the optimal location and size of PV systems. The results indicate a significant 45.9553% reduction in power loss for commercial loads with three PV systems, along with the most substantial improvement in voltage profiles compared to other load types. These findings highlight the importance of strategic PV placement and demonstrate the effectiveness of COA in enhancing network performance
