Echo
Echo is a 2D rhythm-based video game of obstacle avoidance. The player must use mouse hover to navigate a luminous ‘Echo’ entity around a closed space to dodge an onslaught of obstacles mapped in time to a music track. If the Echo entity hits too many obstacles, the level restarts. Along with challenging obstacle patterns, much of Echo’s difficulty and appeal lies in its visual effects--many gameplay features, such as the obstacles’ choreography and music, work towards providing the player with bright but distracting visuals. At the end of the level, the player earns a rank depending on how many obstacles they hit. Ranks and other player data are saved across game sessions. Outside of gameplay, the player can unlock various cosmetic items to change their Echo color, trail, and particle effects, along with an achievements and stats system to track progress. Echo also has an online leaderboard system to allow comparison of game progress between players

Navigating the internet can involve opening numerous tabs to access the content behind hyperlinks, which can be time-consuming and disrupt the user\u27s workflow. NLPeek is a browser extension that addresses these challenges by providing real-time web link previews using artificial intelligence. When users hover over a link, the extension generates a concise summary of the linked content. Users can also highlight text to receive an AI-generated summary. This lets users quickly comprehend web content without leaving the current page, enhancing efficiency. Integrating AI summarization, NLPeek streamlines the user\u27s internet experience. Analyzing Social and Cultural Expectations for Women in the 20th Century Through the May Day Festival at DePauw University
This paper analyzes the May Day festival at DePauw University as a lens through which to understand the social and cultural expectations for young women in the 20th century. By examining the festival\u27s history, activities, and the roles of various student organizations, the study explores how broader historical events such as wars and economic changes, as well as societal ideals influenced the festival\u27s evolution. The research is based on primary sources, including university archives and student-created pamphlets and photographs, in an effort to bring attention to a forgotten, yet important, part of DePauw University\u27s history and the contributions of the women who organized and participated in it

Optimizing Transport Predictive Modeling with Simulation-Based Statistical Inference Authors
Simulation-based statistical inference (SBI) leverages computer simulations to help scientists understand and analyze complex data. This paper explores how SBI techniques can be used to analyze transportation data. We use modern computational methods, including machine learning models, to improve the accuracy of predictions and decision-making in transportation planning. Our study focuses on two SBI methods, Approximate Bayesian Computation - Markov Chain Monte Carlo and Synthetic Likelihood, to create synthetic data for training machine learning models. These models show the potential of SBI to handle uncertain transportation data. It also highlights the practical benefits of SBI in making better decisions for transportation systems
