Relationship between school grades average, term-end examination average score, and national examination pass/fail and score for judo-therapists in the vocational school
Get PDFIn recent years, the pass rate of the national examination for judo-therapists has decreased in comparison with the past, therefore it is thought that supplementary lessons at the school for the national examination are necessary. The teacher with the education experience can recognize whether a student passes a national examination subjectively, but it is difficult to introduce the sense into each student’s instruction. Therefore, it is important to analyze the result of the national examination from the test score at school to show a student needs the instruction for the national examination objectively. Then, we analyzed the relationship between the test scores at the school and national examination score using the 150 graduates at the A vocational school for ju-do-therapists who took the national examination (25th to 31st) for seven years from 2017 to 2023. The results revealed that the national examination’s general question score had a higher correlation with the term-end ex-amination score than the school grades. In addition, a positive correlation was detected between the required questions (30 questions) and the general questions of the national examination from 2017 to 2019, however, the significant correlation was very weak after 2020 when the number of required questions turned to 50 questions. The term-end examination scores of a repeating the same grade experienced student and the national examination unsuccessful applicant were lower in comparison with the other students. The students who graduated from a university got higher scores in the term-end examination of first grade than the students who graduated only a high school, however, the significant difference was not recognized in second and third grade. Moreover, the national examination score did not differ by educational background. These analyses were able to show the students who especially need supplementary lessons for national examination, but it was suggested that the analysis according to each subject and the investigation including the character of student might be necessary to apply it to the instruction to individual students.近年，柔道整復師国家試験の合格率は以前に比べ低下しており，国家試験対策の必要性は益々高まっている。国家試験に合格できそうか否かは，教育経験のある教員であればある程度主観的にとらえることはできるが，個々の学生への指導にその感覚を導入することは難しい。したがって，在学中の試験点数から国家試験の結果を分析し，国家試験に向けて特に指導を行うべき学生を客観的に示すことが重要である。そこで本研究では，2017から2023年の7年間に国家試験（第25から31回）を受験したA専門学校の柔道整復師養成課程の卒業生150名を分析対象とし，在学中の試験点数と国家試験の点数との関連を分析した。その結果，成績より期末試験点数の方が国家試験一般問題の点数との相関が高いことが明らかとなった。また，第25から27回国家試験（必修出題数が30問）では必修問題の点数と一般問題の点数に正の相関がみられたが，第28回以降（必修出題数が50問）では非常に低かった。留年経験者および国家試験不合格者は，そうでなかった者に比べて期末試験点数が有意に低いことが明らかとなった。大卒者は高卒者に比べ，1年次期末試験点数は有意に高いが，2・3年次では有意差は認められなかった。さらに国家試験点数は学歴による差は認められなかった。これらの分析により，客観的に国家試験対策を重点的に行うべき対象学生を示せたことは大きな意義があったと考える。しかし，個々の学生への学習指導へ応用していくには，科目別，学生の性格特性などを踏まえた実践が必要であると考える。原著論文departmental bulletin pape
Relationship among the high school grade point average, entrance examination score and midterm examination average score in the vocational school of judo-therapist course
Get PDFThe results of a survey conducted by the National Association of judo-therapy Schools in Japan in 2022 in-dicate that there are many schools that do not meet their recruitment capacity. In addition, the pass rate of the national examination for judo-therapist has decreased in recent years, and the 31st (2023) national examination was the lowest ever at 49.6%. Therefore, there are concerns that the academic ability of stu-dents enrolled in vocational schools of judo-therapist course will decline. Whether the selection of students for admission was appropriate, and whether the education after admission was appropriate to achieve the educational philosophy and goals, cannot be determined without evaluating their work as medical profes-sionals after obtaining national certification of judo-therapist. However, we considered that it would be beneficial for improving our teaching methods by investigating whether the students who entered the school could work on the learning to become judo-therapists. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the relationship among high school grade point average, entrance examination scores, and midterm examination average scores. Furthermore, we analyzed and discussed the students’ performance before and after admission from various angles such as gender, educational background, and entrance exam category.
We investigated and analyzed the high school grade point average, entrance examination scores, and midterm examination average scores of 377 students enrolled in a vocational school of judo-therapist course over a 10-year period from 2014 to 2023.
As a result, a strong correlation was observed between the fundamental subjects of the midterm exami-nation and the specialized fundamental subjects/specialized subjects of the midterm examination. The high-er the high school grade point average, the better the entrance examination and midterm scores. The col-lege/university graduated group had significantly higher midterm scores than the high school graduated group. Furthermore, in the analysis by entrance examination category, it was clarified that there was no significant difference in the midterm examination scores among the AO (admissions office), general, and recommendation groups. The high school grade point average and the entrance examination scores also did not differ among the three groups. There was no significant difference in the midterm examination scores depending on the timing of taking the examination.公益社団法人全国柔道整復学校協会が2022年に行ったアンケート調査結果から，募集定員に満たない学校が多数存在することが窺える。また，国家試験の合格率は近年減少傾向にあり，2023年に実施された第31回国家試験は過去最低の49.6％であったことから，養成校入学者の学力低下が懸念される。入学者選抜が適切であったか，また，入学後の教育が教育理念や目標を達成するのに適切であったかは，国家資格を取得して医療人としての仕事を評価しなければ判断できない。しかし，入学してきた学生が期待通り柔道整復師になるための学習に取り組めるか否か調査することは教育方法改善の参考となると考えた。そこで，本研究では，高校の評定平均値，入学試験の成績，入学後の試験との関係性を分析した。さらに，性別，学歴や入学試験区分など様々な角度から入学前後の成績を分析し，考察した。
2014年から2023年の10年間におけるA専門学校の入学者377名を対象として，高校の評定平均値，入学試験の成績，および中間試験の平均点を調査し分析した。
その結果，相関分析では，中間試験基礎分野，中間試験専門基礎・専門分野間で強い相関が認められた。また，評定平均値が高い群ほど，入学試験成績，中間試験の結果は良いことが明らかとなった。そして，大卒群は高卒群より中間試験結果が有意に高いことも明らかとなった。さらに入学試験区分別の分析ではAO，一般，推薦群の間で中間試験結果に有意な差がないこと，評定平均値や入学試験成績，中間試験結果は，入学試験受験時期による差はないことが明らかとなった。原著論文departmental bulletin pape
