Elementary school teachers' perceptions of the educational significance of observations and experiments in science
本研究では,小学校教師が理科の観察・実験に対してどのような教育的意義を認識しているかを明らかにした。この目的達成のために,まず理科の観察・実験の教育的意義を先行研究に基づいて規定した。次に,その観点を基に観察・実験の教育的意義の認識を明らかにする質問紙を開発し,小学校教師106名を対象にその質問紙調査を実施した。その結果,主として以下の2点が導出された。
(1)多くの小学校教師は,観察・実験の際に「直接的な体験の充実」を図ることを教育的意義として認識していること。
(2)本研究で規定した8つの理科の観察・実験の教育的意義の中で,教師が重視している割合が相対的に低かった「科学の本質の理解の促進」「科学的な探究態度の育成」「科学的に探究する倫理観の育成」「社会性の育成」の観点は,具体的な事例を示せば,教育的意義としての認識が高まる可能性があること。In this study, we sought to determine the educational significance attached by elementary school teachers to science observations and experiments. To achieve this objective, we first defined the educational significance of scientific observations and experiments based on previous research. Next, based on this perspective, we developed a questionnaire to clarify the educational significance of the observations and experiments and administered it to 106 elementary school teachers. Consequently, we derived the following two major points:
(1) Many elementary school teachers recognize the educational significance of “enriching direct experience” during observation and experimentation.
(2) Among the eight points of educational significance of science observations and experiments items specified in this study, the perspectives of “promotion of understanding of the nature of science,” “fostering attitudes toward scientific inquiry,” “fostering ethics in scientific inquiry,” and “fostering social awareness,” to which teachers attached a relatively low value, could be recognized as of educational significance if concrete examples were provided.原著論文departmental bulletin pape

Analysis of rugby punt kicking motions aiming at different kicking distances in college rugby players
The purpose of this study was to investigate kinematics of rugby punt kicking motion of college players, which aimed at different distances. A motion capture system (11 cameras, 200 Hz) was used to collect three dimensional coordinates data of nine college rugby players, who performed three different punt kicking for 35 m, 50 m and maximum kicking distances. The accuracy in 35 m kicking was greater than that of 50 m. Approach velocity, approach angle, swing speed and pelvis rotation range of motion significantly increased with the increase in kicking distances. Significant correlations were found between the approach velocity and swing speed of the kicking leg (r=0.611, p<0.01), as well as between approach angle and the pelvis rotation range (r=0.690, p<0.01), and the pelvis rotation range and the swing speed (r=0.725, p<0.01). There were kicking of two punt kicking motions from two different approach angles, i,e. a direct toward kicking direction and an oblique one. For short kicking distance, the direct approach (13.8±7.8 deg) was used to restrict the range of motion of the pelvis, and the extension of the kicking knee joint was a major contributor. For long kicking distance the oblique approach (31.4±12.6 deg) with a greater approach speed was used to increase range of pelvis rotation, hip flexion, knee extension and leg swing speed.本研究の目的は,大学生選手の異なる距離を狙ったラグビーのパントキック動作の運動学的検討を行うことである。3次元動作分析システム(カメラ11台,200 Hz)を用い,大学ラグビー選手9名を対象に3種類(35 m,50 m,最大距離)のパントキック動作における3次元座標値データを収集した。35 mキックは50 mキックよりも精度が高く,助走速度,助走角度,スイング速度,腰部回転範囲は,キック距離とともに有意に増加しており,助走速度とスイング速度(r=0.611, p<0.01),助走角度と腰部回転範囲(r=0.690, p<0.01),腰部回転範囲とスイング速度(r=0.725, p<0.01)との間に有意な相関が見られた。パントキックの動作は,キック方向に向かって助走する動作および斜めに助走する動作の2種類であった。短距離のキックの場合は,キック方向へ助走(13.8±7.8 deg)しており,腰部回転範囲が制限されるが,主に蹴り脚の膝関節伸展動作を使用していた。長距離のキックの場合は,腰部回転,股関節屈曲,膝関節伸展,スイング速度が大きくなるように,大きな助走速度で斜めから助走(31.4±12.6 deg)をしていた。原著論文departmental bulletin pape
