This report aims to shed light on development of the common Nordic labour market in the past 70 years and also look ahead to its potential. The focus is on labour migration and commuting between the Nordic countries. However, working in multiple countries or working remotely – which has become more common after the pandemic – will also be discussed

New Offshore WindPorts in the Nordics : Opportunities for collaboration and strategic innovation
The goal of the NOW Ports project has been to make Nordic ports ready for the expanding offshore wind industry with a stronger green infrastructure and new value chains across developers, manufacturers and subcontractors for offshore wind. 17 Nordic ports and sites has entered an innovative collaboration with offshore wind players in order to upgrade, redesign and adapt existing facilities and decarbonise the port’s infrastructure. The aim of the project has been to create the most attractive, innovative and cost-effective concept for future offshore wind port infrastructure and supply chain in the Nordics (both bottom fixed and floating). This report covers the different ports and their opportunities.

The report investigates the concept of co-location in marine environments within the Nordic region, focusing on integrating various activities such as energy production, aquaculture, and other maritime industries within the same geographic area. This approach, often referred to as marine industrial parks or multi-use at sea, aims to enhance spatial efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and promote sustainable development.
Building capacity for best practices in the voluntary carbon market : Insights from a series of Nordic capacity building events
Many Nordic non-state actors are taking voluntary action to contribute to global efforts to combat climate change, within and beyond their boundaries and value chains. Buying carbon credits from the voluntary carbon markets is one way to support climate change mitigation beyond the value chain. Nordic Co-operation Programme for the Environment and Climate 2025–2030
The Co-operation Programme for the Environment and Climate 2025–2030 takes its starting point from what the UN has termed the triple crisis. By placing focus on the climate, biodiversity and pollution, as well as the concept of the circular economy, this new co-operation programme shall bolster Nordic collaboration in areas where there is Nordic benefit to be found. The Nordic Region must continue to play a leading role in the green transition, and it shall remain a globally competitive and socially sustainable region. At the same time, climate change is a global issue, and so it is important that the Nordic countries retain a clear and convincing voice in order to promote effective solutions within international environment and climate negotiations.

Samarbetsprogrammet för social- och hälsopolitik beskriver politiska prioriteringar och målsättningar för perioden 2025–2030. Programmet ska bidra till nordisk nytta genom nära och kontinuerlig dialog för kunskapsdelning och spridning av effektiva insatser. Att säkerställa lika tillgång för alla till välfärdstjänster och konsolidera den universella välfärdsmodellen,att förebygga psykiska besvär, psykisk ohälsa och ofrivillig ensamhet för alla samhällsgrupper, att säkerställa lika möjligheter för alla att leva goda och hälsosamma liv och att leverera tidiga, förebyggande och hållbara insatser.
Nordisk Ministerråds energipolitiske samarbejdsprogram 2025-2030
Det energipolitiske samarbejdsprogrammet udstikker de politiske prioriteter og mål for det nordiske energisamarbejde i perioden 2025-2030. Norden har en lang erfaring med konstruktivt energisamarbejde, og selvom det er forskellige lande, er der et unikt fællesskab og målrettet samarbejde, som understøtter landenes arbejde med at skabe de bedste bæredygtige løsninger og adressere vores fælles udfordringer. Samarbejdsprogrammet prioriterer indsatserne på de områder, hvor landenes samarbejde kan bidrage til at skabe stærkere resultater, end de kan hver for sig. Der er særlig fokus på høj energiforsyningssikkerhed til nordiske forbrugere og virksomheder, en forbedret nordisk styrkeposition for energiomstilling og innovation, udvikling af et endnu mere effektivt og innovativt nordisk elmarked, og et styrket Norden i internationalt energisamarbejde.

Nordiska ministerrådets samarbetsprogram för samarbetsministrarna (MR-SAM) 2025–2030 sätter en tydlig kurs för de kommande årens arbete. Visionen om att Norden ska bli världens mest hållbara och integrerade region 2030 är styrande för Nordiska ministerrådets verksamhet. Genom tydliga politiska prioriteringar i visionens anda är ambitionen att stärka insatser och program inom ministerrådet, som kan bidra till att leverera nordiska lösningar, ny och efterfrågad kunskap samt utveckla och stärka plattformarna för nordisk samverkan ytterligare
Norðurlönd 2025 – sameinuð og sterk : Formennskuáætlun Finnlands og Álandseyja 2025
Titill formennskuáætlunar Finnlands og Álandseyja í Norrænu ráðherranefndinni er Norðurlönd 2025 – sameinuð og sterk. Grundvöllur formennskuáætlunarinnar er að styðja sameiginlega framtíðarsýn okkar um að Norðurlönd verði orðin sjálfbærasta og samþættasta svæði heims árið 2030. Finnland og Álandseyjar leggja einnig sérstaka áherslu á að efla samfélagsöryggi. Markmið formennskuáætlunarinnar er að efla viðnámsþrótt norrænu landanna enn frekar og að stuðla að altækum og umfangsmiklum viðbúnaði við háska af ýmsum toga og fjölþátta ógnum. Börn og ungmenni eru önnur þungamiðja í formennskuáætluninni. Að stuðla að frjálsri för og samþættingu milli norrænu landanna er einnig mikilvægt markmið fyrir Finnland og Álandseyjar. Á formennskuárinu verður auk þess unnið að samkeppnishæfni Norðurlanda með því að efla samstarf innan sviða á borð við nýsköpun og sjálfbærar lausnir
