Lithobiotic cyanobacteria diversity of the Karelian Isthmus
This work presents data obtained as a result of studying the composition of cyanobacteria
in lithobiotic communities on various substrates (Ruskeala marble,
rapakivi-granite, granite gneiss) in different light conditions on the territory of
the Karelian Isthmus: Leningrad Oblast, Republic of Karelia, and South Finland.
The species composition of cyanobacteria was revealed, and the species composition
on certain types of substrates was analyzed. A total of 49 species of
cyanobacteria were noted for the Republic of Karelia (13 of which were not previously
recorded in this territory). The detailed taxonomic and environmental
characteristics of species are given. Changes in the species diversity of cyanobacteria
in connection with specific habitats are shown. The type of substrate,
the degree of moisture, and illumination are noted as the main factors determining
the diversity of cyanobacteria in lithobiotic communities. The sampling and identification of
cyanobacteria were performed with Russian

Socio-philosophical paradigmatic approaches to the typology of modern humanitarian expertise
The aim of the article is to define socio-philosophical paradigms for typology of humanitarian
expertise, to show its possibilities and role in the life of society and the world for the solution of
modern sociocultural problems. Objectives: With the help of historical paradigmatic approaches
to demonstrate theoretical grounding of socio-philosophical foundations of expertise in humanitarian
fields and the purpose of humanitarian expertise for the individual, society and professional
organizations. This research is methodologically based on the socio-philosophical analysis
of some works of famous sociologists and philosophers of the 20th–21st centuries which created
preconditions for formation of methodological foundations of humanitarian expertise, and
it also includes presentation of three types of humanitarian expertise and demonstration of their
distinctive features. Thanks to the developed methods and techniques in sociology, philosophy,
culturology, etc., experts and expert communities had some new approaches for studying various
problems of society and quickly eliminating the consequences of negative results of scientific
and technological progress on it. Developed methods and techniques underlying humanitarian
expertise allowed experts to go beyond the subjectivism of the individual and consider sociocultural
phenomena objectively based on facts in justification of social actions. When the role of
science in the life of society becomes predominant there is a need for such methods, techniques,
and technologies that would make it possible to stop the use of scientific achievements to the
detriment of society, to determine the unethical behavior of scientists and every member of
society, to anticipate dangerous man-made situations. The focus of expert knowledge should
be the monitoring of unethical behavior of professionals in the humanitarian spheres of society
protecting the interests and health of people. The research was funded by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) grant no. 20-011-

Risk-reflections design factors: Conflict lines of cleavages
The article examines the problem of risk reflections design based on the interpretation of risks
and threats as a way of social order legitimization. Authors analyze the “cleavage” nature (in
the terminology of Lipset — Rokkan approach) of the consequences of these designing. Using
Paul Slovic “psychometric paradigm”, theory of “sociocultural viability” by Aaron Wildavsky
and Karl Dake, Paul Schoemaker expected utility model, prospect theory by Amos Tversky
and Daniel Kahneman, Vincent Covello “mental noise” approach and Mary Douglas works
on main risk cultural types, the authors suggest that, despite their heuristic capacity all these approaches, modeling of probable risk reflections is impossible without examination of the
current political agenda, formal and informal practices of interpreting dangers and threats
in public political discourse, as well as political goal-setting and elites intentions. These elements
can weaken/strengthen, shift/replace risk reflections, which is critical for identifying
key social polarizations (“cleavages”) between “risk beneficiaries” and “risk outsiders”. In this
context, the article focuses to “administrative” failures in political risk management, the victim
of which is often the whole society, but not just those who were originally nominated as
consumers of risk. On the basis of the identified structural, actor-oriented and institutional
factors of risk decision-making and the strategies for programming risk reflections by dominant
risk producers, the authors conclude that errors in the design of risk reflections generate
risk-anomie in the most vulnerable groups of the population. The reserarch was funded by the Russian Science Foundation grant no. 19-18-00115 “Risk-reflections
in modern Russian conflict management strategies”
The concept of “scientific atheism”: The history of its construction and introduction into philosophy and political practice (1954–1964)
The main purpose of the article is to reveal the socio-historical context of the emergence of
the concept of “scientific atheism”, designed to solve ideological and political problems in the
USSR in 1954–1964. The article shows how the concept of “scientific atheism” turns into a
conceptual category, is filled with new content, forms an appropriate discourse and becomes a tool that produces socially significant meanings used in the practice of ideological production
during the period of building socialism in the USSR. The author demonstrates how the
understanding of atheism that existed in previous Marxist literature as a philosophical criticism
of religion, based on the natural sciences and philosophical materialism and connected
with the study of the historical forms of religion and its modern features, was rejected. Such an
understanding of atheism did not satisfy the current political demand associated with the new
tasks of communist construction. The article shows that a special role in the construction of
the ideological component of the concept of “scientific atheism” in the early 1960s was played
by I. D. Pantskhava, head of the Department of History and Theory of Atheism at Moscow
State University, and also the secretary of the Central Committee L. F. Ilyichev, who headed the
Ideological Commission of the Central Committee of the CPSU, which, in the wake of a new
anti-religious campaign, initiated the development of practical recommendations in the field
of atheistic upbringing of the population, among which the need to form the theoretical content
of scientific atheism as an independent philosophical discipline aimed at solving urgent
political problems stood out. The article introduces previously unknown archival materials
into academic circulation, shedding light on the 1964 discussion about the features of Marxist
atheism and the subject of “scientific atheism”.The research was supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research grant no. 21-11-43036

Features of the Language Game in Liu Zhenyun’s Prose on the Example of the Novel “I am not Pan Jinlian”
The paper discusses stylistic techniques and means of creating a language game on the example
of the novel “I am not Pan Jinlian” (2012) by Liu Zhenyun. The emphasis is on the
search for new orderings in the language game within the framework of the artistic universe.
Studies of Liu Zhenyun’s artistic discourse today are included in various linguistic, literary and cultural landscapes, but they are fragmentary in nature and are presented, as a rule, on
local material. The language, artistic features and idiosyncrasy of the writer can be considered
practically unexplored, which determines the relevance of this study. The linguistic features
of the language game in the works of Liu Zhenyun are consistently considered at three levels
in this study. Metaphors, oxymorons, irony, etc. are analyzed at the level of the use of artistic
means and techniques. At the structural and functional level, attention is focused on the formal
structure and organization of the artistic fabric of the text, some stylistic and syntactic aspects
of the language game, parallel constructions and techniques (zeugma, chiasm, anacoluf,
parallelisms, ekphrasis, etc.) are analyzed. At the cognitive-discursive level, attention is paid
primarily to the problem of the organization of the conceptual-semantic space of the text and
the disclosure of its laws, as well as its integration and synthesis with non-linguistic sciences —
philology, psychology, cultural studies, etc. The mixed methods used in the article allowed us
to obtain results that are productive from the point of view of the possibilities of structuralfunctional
and discursive analysis of artistic material. The obtained data and conclusions open
up wide opportunities for further analysis of the language game in artistic discourse
Humorous effect when linguocultural phenomena are included in forum comments to media texts
The paper is devoted to the possibilities of creating a comic effect based on linguocultural
signs and concepts in forum comments to media texts. The problem of the comic is studied
in the context of the study of value essences and national-cultural meanings, which form the
basis of the worldview of the national-cultural community. The material of the study is forum
comments on Bulgarian online media publications or reposts of media articles in social networks.
Due to the fact that the specificity of modern online communication is the relativity
of the disposition of the author-addressee, the addressee is involved in the discussion of the
topic, since both media texts and comments on them are usually read. Forum comments as
posts written by the addressee under media texts, create a kind of network communication
that allows its participants to evaluate the news or express an opinion about the content of
the media text and, in some cases, to simply argue with or without reason. The formation of a
comic effect on the basis of linguistic and cultural phenomena in forum communication is an
important linguo-mental characteristic of the perception of the world by a national-cultural
community, as well as a tool for assessing the preservation of cultural tradition. The analysis of
linguocultural material involved in creating a comic effect in comments to media texts demonstrates
the presence of several types of precedent, the use of phraseological units (paremias,
citations, aphorisms), metaphors and concepts. The “transposition” of linguistic and cultural
phenomena is based on the discrepancy between the internal and external image, on the violation
of the usual syntagmatic relations of linguistic units, the actualization and modification
of frame-slot connections, and the ambivalence of semantic realization. The article is based on
the report that is going to be presented at the XVIII International Congress of Slavists in 2025
The Russian version of “Core Self-Evaluation Scale”: Psychometric testing and prospects of using
The article presents a theoretical description and psychometric testing of the Russian version
of the “Core Self-Evaluation Scale” (CSEs (Ru)). The scale of CSE is an integral indicator that reflects of a personal resources of proactive behavior, as well as a generalized dispositional predictor
of job satisfaction and positive self-assessment of the results of activity. The validation
and psychometric testing were conducted in several stages, the total number of respondents
N = 917, who work in Moscow, St Petersburg, Belgorod, and other Russian cities, between
the ages of 18 and 60, of which 62 % are female and 38 % are male. The design of the study
included methods: an adapted Russian version of the Core Self-Evaluation scale by Judge et
al., 5PFQ as adapted by A. B. Hromov, Generalized self-efficacy scale, Schwarzer, Jerusalem as
adapted by V. G. Romek, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Locus of control as adapted by Ksenofontova,
Gallup’s Q12 Employee Engagement Survey. A two-factor structure of the CSEs (Ru)
was identified which includes positive and negative core self-evaluation scales. The CSEs (Ru)
demonstrated a satisfactory reliability. The validation testing demonstrated significant correlations
with self-esteem, level of subjective control, self-efficacy, neuroticism, и engagement.
The CSEs (Ru) includes 10 items and has a sufficient preliminary reliability and validity, making
it a useful tool when measuring the core self-evaluation of organizations’ staff. Diversities
of the negative core self-evaluation level’s strength within respondents of different age and
sex were identified. Сore self-evaluation level is important in staffing work teams of different
professional specialization as a predictor of proactive behavior and team resilience. Further
research could be focused on the proof of the measurement’s reliability and validity when
measuring of proactive behavior in teams. The study was sponsored by the Russian Science Foundation, project “The concept of sustainable
development of teams in organization” no. 22-28-1222
Features of coping with situations of change among representatives of Azerbaijani culture
The article is devoted to the analysis of the response of Azerbaijanis to life situations of
change. Since the situations of change are characterized by dynamism, uncertainty and a
great expenditure of resources, and the perception of such events is often associated with
stress and threat, the phenomenon of responding to changes and structural uncertainty
may be studied in the context of coping. The empirical research was conducted out within
the framework of mixed methods approaches and included two stages. At the first stage,
the quantitative data of the Azerbaijani sample (N = 278) were analyzed. The indicators of
consistency and intercorrelations of scales, descriptive statistics, as well as the results of the
exploratory factor analysis of the questionnaire “Types of response to a changing situation”
were considered. Changes in the psychometric properties of the questionnaire were identified.
In order to explain the discovered facts at the second stage, qualitative data were analyzed:
descriptions of response models to changes (N = 42; using the method of grounded
theory in the version of K. Charmaz) and explanations of the drawings “Image of changes”
(N = 88). It was found that the majority of Azerbaijani respondents report a rare preference
for structural uncertainty and a frequent desire to maintain the stability of the situation. The
difference between the models of response to changes described by Azerbaijani and Russian
students-psychologists is shown. While the methods are called similar (planning, positive
reappraisal, etc.), their combination in models, and categorization (whether the action refers
to acceptance or rejection of changes) diverge. Based on the analysis of quantitative
and qualitative data, an ambivalent response is described: the use of both accepting and
rejection the change strategies. The results are discussed in two contexts: 1) cultural values
of Azerbaijan (collectivism, orientation on rules); 2) the need to comprehensively consider
of coping strategies. The study expands the understanding of the mechanisms of cultural
determination of coping with the situation of change, and offers a new data analysis scheme
that allows to identify cultural differences. The reported study was funded by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, project no. 20-013-
