Child emotions in institutional foster care

These institutions cause children to function in the rigid framework, which on the one hand helps them live in
a society, on the other hand limits the development of their own “I”, hindering the development of the

The end of special relationships between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia?
No full textThe Saudi special relationships with the U.S., unlike that of the U.S. with Israel, are mutually beneficial. Saudi Arabia sells about 10 million barrels of oil a day and all those transactions are denominated in American dollars, which helps that currency to perform the role of the currency of account (world, s currency) and has been of crucial help to the American ambition to dominate the global economy. On the other hand the United States did its part to uphold the relationship be granting the security to Saudi Arabia and other Gulf oil states. This was demonstrated for example in 1990 during Iraqi attack on Kuwait, that also menaced Saudi Arabia. At that time the U.S. deployed 400,000 troops in Saudi Arabia and expelled Iraqi troops from Kuwait. The priority of American foreign policy in that region has been to keep Gulf oil in friendly hands. Since the increase of the production of shale oil in the United States that priority has been less important. Another factor which has exerted an influence on the nature of the U.S.-Saudi relationship was the signing the permanent agreement with Iran in July 2015 on the limitation of the Iranian nuclear program and normalization of political-economic relations with the West. This has led to further worsening of the U.S.-Saudi Arabia alliance which has always been like a ”marriage of convenience ”where behind the façade of friendship and harmony there is cold calculation of benefits and losses. That alliance will last as long as the potential benefits will still be bigger than possible losses.Od wielu lat Stany Zjednoczone utrzymują specjalne stosunki z Arabią Saudyjską, które, w odróżnieniu od relacji z Izraelem,

w amerykańskich dolarach, co wzmacnia tę walutę i tym samym dominację Ameryki w gospodarce światowej. Stany Zjednoczone z kolei starają się zapewnić bezpieczeństwo zarówno Arabii Saudyjskiej, jak i też innym, naftowym krajom arabskim. Chodzi tu m.in. o utrzymanie ogromnych zasobów ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego w przyjaznych dla Ameryki i całego Zachodu rękach. Ostatnio zmalało dla USA znaczenie tych zasobów i regionu Bliskiego Wschodu. Także zawarcie z Iranem porozumienia o normalizacji stosunków polityczno-gospodarczych doprowadziło do ochłodzenia relacji Stanów Zjednoczonych z Arabią Saudyjską. Pursuing such aim political actors choose different tools due to theirs ideological affiliation and political roots. One may observe in local Poland that depoliticization process play its role. This have a great impact on local communities. That is why local political elites make barriers for disputing history by using two techniques: presentism (is the view that neither the future nor the past exist – past times must meet present political requirements) and recentivism (only present time exist). Support and Psychological Gender of Men and Women – a Research Report
Get PDFThe aim of the research was to determine the psychological gender
against the background of a partner’s support and the spouse’s workplace.
The research involved a group of 503 married women and men,
including 354 professional soldiers - of who 152 have participated in
military missions and 202 work in Poland. The research included also
149 women - 94 wives of soldiers participating in missions and 55
women in relationship with soldiers doing their job in Poland. To collect
the data for research the nonprobability snowball and purposive
sampling methods have been applied. The research was conducted in
2013. The respondents, in majority showing androgynous characteristics,
perceive the support on the part of their families as average or very
low. Substantial differences as to the psychological gender and support
have been observed in the group of soldiers doing their service in their
home country. The feminine men and people with unspecified gender
identity seem to receive the lowest support, while the androgynous
people and male men experience the highest one. Interesting dispersion
of results has been observed - the lowest for the group of feminine
men, the highest for the androgynous ones

No full textClassical political liberalism was not related with some economic concepts, although John Locke accept right to property as the fundamental law of nature. Later liberalism began involve to economic and social issues. Utilitarian liberalism of J. Bentham and John Stuart Mill created the foundations to social justice. Evolutionary liberalism of H. Spencer affirm human egoism and rivalry as the fundamental social principles, also he was proponent minimum and limited state in political economic. And social liberalism, introducing new concept of positive freedom, was for interventionism and social policy. In XX a. J. Rawls and egalitarian liberalism also was for such economical and social concepts. For this liberalism the primate values are justice as fairness and equality. Liberal doctrines was differently to economical concepts, because they have specific and various ideas and values.Klasyczny liberalizm polityczny nie był związany z konkretną koncepcją ekonomiczną, choć J. Corpus-based analysis of immigration discourse in British broadsheet press
No full textThe aim of the paper is to show the applicability of corpus–
driven methodology to media discourse analysis. Theoretically, the
study assumes that the semantic meaning of a lexical item is emergent
and distributed, i.e. it resides in the word under investigation as
well as the collocations with which it co–occurs. Methodologically, the
analysis is primarily quantitative and relies on automatic data extraction
and statistical calculations. The d ata used f or t he s tudy were
gleaned from a corpus of the British press, which contains articles
coming from three broadsheet newspapers representing both a conservative
and a left–wing political stance. The paper demonstrates how a corpus–driven methodology can be successfully employed in
media studies, in particular in press discourse analysis

Get PDFLiterary criticism after 1989 proved to be important for the legacy ofthe poet. Reflection on criticism in the new socio-po litical conditions enriched the image of his literary achieve ments. The epistemological function of criticism was most frequently present in the form ofrecoding which stimulated a dialogue with earlier interpretations and perceptions of culture. Occasionally, it took the form ofinterpreting unpublished literary works. The interests of critics - spirituality/religiousness and the connection with socialist realism – on the one hand, expose distortions of previous specifications, and on the other hand, reveal the ambiguity ofthe meaning ofliterary works known for their abundance ofhidden mean ings, erudition of the poet, the poet’s play with the circula tion of culture as well as discretely revealed spirituality. The diversity ofinterpretations ofthe poet’s works contributed to an emergence ofmetacritic drafts representing the dynamics of the dialogue about the literary output of the artist who was aware of his distinctness and ambivalent interpretation of his works.Projekt Operacyjny Polska Cyfrowa POPC.02.03.01-00-0039/1
