Physical perfectionism and body image in people who do and do not engage in dancing

фізичного перфекціонізму та образу тіла й аналізу їхніх особливостей у осіб, які займаються і не займаються танцями. У першому розділі «Теоретичні основи дослідження фізичного перфекціонізму та образу тіла» здійснено комплексний аналіз підходів до розуміння фізичного перфекціонізму як специфічного різновиду багатовимірногоперфекціонізму, пов’язаного із зовнішністю та тілесністю. Розкрито сутність образу тіла як психологічної конструкції, що включає когнітивні, емоційні й поведінкові компоненти та формується під впливом біологічних, психологічних і соціокультурних чинників. Окреслено специфіку формування образу тіла у танцюристів, для яких тіло є інструментом творчості й одночасно об’єктом соціальної оцінки, а також проаналізовано амбівалентний вплив танцювальної діяльності як ресурсу розвитку і фактору ризику. У другому розділі «Емпіричне дослідження фізичного перфекціонізму та образу тіла у осіб, які займаються і не займаються танцями» проведено порівняльний аналіз показників фізичного перфекціонізму та образу тіла у танцюристів і нетанцюристів із використанням комплексу психодіагностичних методик (SIBID, MBSRQ, BIQLI тощо). Встановлено, що танцюристи мають вищий рівень фізичного перфекціонізму, більшу ситуативну незадоволеність тілом і сильнішу залежність якості життя від ставлення до власної зовнішності. Показано, що компонент Worry about Imperfection пов’язаний із деструктивними проявами (тілесна тривожність, незадоволеність зовнішністю), тоді як Hope for Perfection має адаптивний потенціал, асоціюючись із турботою про фізичний стан, дисципліною та мотивацією до фітнесу. У третьому розділі «Психологічні рекомендації щодо роботи з фізичним перфекціонізмом та образом тіла» розроблено систему психологічних рекомендацій, спрямованих на формування позитивного образу тіла, профілактику дезадаптивних форм фізичного перфекціонізму та підтримку осіб групи ризику, насамперед танцюристів. Обґрунтовано принципи психологічної підтримки (баланс між розвитком і самоприйняттям, формування реалістичних стандартів, розвиток емоційної регуляції, індивідуалізація підходів), запропоновано психопросвітницькі, тренінгові та арт-терапевтичні форми роботи. Результати дослідження мають практичне значення для психологів, тренерів, педагогів, фахівців, які працюють із молоддю та творчими колективами, та можуть бути використані для розробки програм профілактики харчових розладів і тілесної тривожності.
The master's thesis is devoted to a theoretical and empirical study of physical
perfectionism and body image and an analysis of their characteristics in people who dance and those who do not. The first chapter, “Theoretical Foundations of Research on Physical Perfectionism and Body Image,” provides a comprehensive analysis of approaches to understanding physical perfectionism as a specific type of multidimensional perfectionism related to appearance and physicality. The essence of body image as a psychological construct that includes cognitive, emotional, and behavioral components and is formed under the influence of biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors is revealed. The specifics of body image formation in dancers, for whom the body is both an instrument of creativity and an object of social evaluation, are outlined, and the ambivalent influence of dance activity as a resource for development and a risk factor is analyzed. In the second chapter, “Empirical study of physical perfectionism and body image in people who dance and do not dance,” a comparative analysis of indicators of
physical perfectionism and body image in dancers and non-dancers is conducted using a set of psychodiagnostic techniques (SIBID, MBSRQ, BIQLI, etc.). It has been established that dancers have a higher level of physical perfectionism, greater situational dissatisfaction with their bodies, and a stronger dependence of their quality of life on their attitude toward their own appearance. It has been shown that the Worry about Imperfection component is associated with destructive manifestations (body anxiety, dissatisfaction with appearance), while Hope for Perfection has adaptive potential, being associated with concern for physical condition, discipline, and motivation for fitness. The third chapter, “Psychological Recommendations for Working with Physical Perfectionism and Body Image,” develops a system of psychological recommendations aimed at forming a positive body image, preventing maladaptive forms of physical perfectionism, and supporting individuals at risk, primarily dancers. The principles of psychological support (balance between development and self-acceptance, formation of realistic standards, development of emotional regulation, individualization of approaches) are substantiated, and psychoeducational, training, and art therapy forms of work are proposed. The results of the study are of practical importance for psychologists, coaches, educators, and specialists working with young people and creative groups, and can be used to develop programs for the prevention of eating disorders and body anxiety

психологічної адаптації особистості, зокрема його вплив на емоційну регуляцію, міжособистісну взаємодію та здатність ефективно функціонувати у змінних соціальних умовах. Метою дослідження було теоретично обґрунтувати та емпірично перевірити специфіку впливу емоційного інтелекту на процес соціально-психологічної адаптації дорослих осіб. Емпірична частина роботи спрямована на вивчення взаємозв’язку між рівнем розвитку емоційного інтелекту та показниками адаптованості, використовуючи психодіагностичні інструменти Н. Холла та тест Шутте (SSEIT). У дослідженні взяли участь 50 співробітників компанії «Пространство» віком від 22 до 35 років. Застосування кількісних та якісних методів аналізу дозволило оцінити рівень емоційної обізнаності, саморегуляції, емпатії та загальної адаптивності учасників. Результати дослідження продемонстрували наявність статистично значущого позитивного взаємозв’язку між емоційним інтелектом і соціально психологічною адаптацією: вищі показники емоційного інтелекту супроводжуються кращими соціальними навичками, гнучкістю поведінки, більшою стійкістю до стресу та конструктивністю міжособистісних стосунків. На основі отриманих даних було розроблено тренінгову програму розвитку емоційного інтелекту, спрямовану на підвищення рівня адаптованості працівників через удосконалення навичок емоційної саморегуляції та емпатійної взаємодії.
The study investigates the role of emotional intelligence as a factor of an
individual’s socio-psychological adaptation, particularly its influence on emotional regulation, interpersonal interaction, and the ability to function effectively under changing social conditions. The aim of the research was to theoretically substantiate and empirically examine the specific impact of emotional intelligence on the process of socio-psychological adaptation in adults. The empirical part of the work focuses on exploring the relationship between the level of emotional intelligence and indicators of adaptability, using N. Hall’s Emotional Intelligence Method and the Schutte Self-Report Emotional Intelligence Test (SSEIT). The study involved 50 employees of the company “Prostranstvo,” aged 22 to 35. The application of quantitative and qualitative analytical methods made it possible to assess participants’ levels of emotional awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and overall adaptive functioning.The findings revealed a statistically significant positive correlation between emotional intelligence and socio-psychological adaptation: higher levels of emotional intelligence were associated with better social skills, behavioral flexibility, greater stress resilience, and more constructive interpersonal relationships.
