Through by a multi-level hermeneutic, this study get the ambition to be comprehensible both to Readers who are not used to this kind of literature and to the ones advanced and skilled in symbolic thought. The main important conclusion owes the quality of the symbolic level, which is the property to refuse a single interpretation: notwithstanding, this does not prevent from a clear historical and political evaluation of the phenomena under analysis, according the methodologies of social sciences. This political evaluability drives to the main valuable output of the essay, which concerns the anthropological statement that the logical label of Masonry, with this name or many others, it exists since always. Under the category of initiatory institution, we may consider the step between individual and society, and a society inside a larger one. Evolving from the needs of the individuals to the ones of social groups, the matter joins to the land of political sciences. The sociological meaning can be posed under analytic view in reason of the functionalist meaning emerging from the alternative couples status-quo/emancipation and conservatism/progressivism. Through by this perspective, anyway the theme seems not to reveal much more, because this “proteiform complex body” manifest itself as something too much complex in its inner core to be considered in a way or in another. Post Conflict Peacebuilding in Kosovo. Milestones, Actors and People.
Get PDFThis article presents and analyses the postconflict peacebuilding actions in Kosovo. It aims to bring a picture of external and internal actors involved in such a process from the end of the conflict up to date. The article challenges peace process in Kosovo through the issues emerging in the Society due to the unsettled status enduring as of Security Council Resolution 1244. It is structured into three sections. The first section analyses the postconflict peacebuilding and statebuilding actions undertaken by external and internal actors right after the conflict. The second section deals with the issue of transitional justice as a key element on peacebuilding and how it was addressed. Whereas the third section analyses the current situation of the population with the issues inherited from the conflict and others emerged due to undefined actions of external and internal actors
The External Dimension of EU Migration Policy
Get PDFThe policies relating to the management of migration - control of external borders, asylum and immigration have been, as is well known, sovereign prerogatives for excellence. The long-standing refuse of the EU Member States to provide them to a supranational government is a clear evidence of that. Determined to retain the exclusive control over the migrants, States have continued, to handle the situation. This paper aims to reconstruct the foundations of the external dimension of EU migration policy, in order to highlight its complexity, resulting from the global scope of the problem and by its sensitive nature. If the global reach of migration invites the adoption of a coherent strategy that, gives substantial and structural interdependence between internal and external dimensions, allows to strengthen the Union’s credibility on the international stage, the sensitive nature of migration policy confirms ‘the opportunity to implement flexible solutions suitable to shape the criterion of added value. Defining the conditions of consistency and flexibility to which the Union’s external action can bring the management of migration - a management which will pursue all objectives of the EU’s migration policy in accordance with the its principles, such as solidarity and the protection of fundamental rights - is the focus of this paper
The Impact of Exchange Rate on Economy (Case of Albania)
Get PDFThe purpose of the study is to inspect the impact of exchange rate fluctuations on Albanian macroeconomic performance. Macroeconomic indicators are taken in considerate starting from 10th month of 1998 until 11th month of 2016. The data includes monthly observations of US/ALBLEK exchange rate has no significant impact on selected macroeconomic variables for the first, the second and the third month. This mean that, ER does not give any significant effect in three months on CPI, exports, imports, interest rates and unemployment. But, in fourth month is noticed that US$/ALBLEK exchange rate has a negative significant impact on selected macroeconomic variables such as export, import, and inflation which is calculated by using consumer price index. In this period is observed as well, that exchange rate has no significant impact on interest rate and unemployment rate. The main reason is that Albanian economy is moving in slow motion
Political Consensus: A crucial and key element of political organization

Also, we will discuss briefly the role of consensus in the process of running and organization of these organizations and functioning of the structures of national security in the process of making important decisions, in achieving the standards for Euro-Atlantic integration, and in the closing of this paper we will provide some conclusions which might be of some help in contributing, even theoretically, in the establishment, consolidation and strengthening of the national security structure. Finally, the conclusion part of this paper is thought to offer some recommendations, as well. Of course, due to the scope of this paper, the recommendations are being addressed to the political class, as an attempt to encourage it to use consensus in all areas of its activity
THE GENTLEMAN OF BIRTH: OLIVER TWIST
No full textAs the focus in this article is mainly on Dickens’s descriptions of the gentleman of birth in Oliver Twist, selected extracts from the novel as well as critics’ opinions will help us analyze the gentlemanly attitudes of the main characters connected to their noble origin and gentle manners. While Oliver opens his eyes in poor conditions, he always feels that he has noble blood. Dickens believes that manners not social status make people true gentlemen yet, he mixes the ‘noble origin’ issue in his novel Oliver Twist, probably as a result of the Victorian people’s perception of ‘gentility’ which was very close to the concept of ‘nobility’. Since Dickens added the flavor of ‘noble’ birth, his naïve nature as well as his perceptions – the way how he interprets people’s behavior and things which happen around him and which construct his identity, his pure heart and his fate (reference to his belief and sincere praying) remarkably influence the positive changes in his life time. Dickens’s little hero, Oliver Twist, while naturally appreciating goodness, is disgusted by immoral things like ‘stealing,’ which was unfortunately happening around. What are the main factors that shape his kind, noble and naïve character? Is it ‘nature’ or ‘nurture’? What could be the major reasons for Nancy, Rose and Mr. Brownlow to give their assistance to Oliver? Whose –Mr. Brownlow’s or Fagin’s– teachings or influences are welcomed by Oliver? The answers to these questions will eventually illustrate how gentlemanly manners are inherited or acquired by Oliver
THE ANALYSES OF THREE ENGLISH TEXTBOOKS THROUGH THE PERSPECTIVE OF CULTURAL CONTEXT
No full textIn this article we will investigate the cultural elements of three different English Language textbooks used in teaching foreign learners. The textbooks include Face2Face, New Matrix and English Plus, which is the textbook used at “Turgut Ozal Secondary School” where I completed my internship. The great importance of culture and the need to integrate culture into teaching has been discussed and highlighted in many studies. Textbooks are an essential part of learning a language in classrooms. Today it seems very common that teachers forget the importance of target culture information and its impact on learning a language and developing the learner’s linguistic knowledge. In this article we initially will expand our knowledge on culture and culture awareness.
Moreover, we notice the importance of cultural diversity and textbooks as authentic materials and their impact on the success and failure of teaching culture to second and foreign language students. We see closely some of the guidelines to evaluating cultural context in the two chosen textbooks and then present a survey questionnaire done only for the cultural section of English Plus course book to elicit the teacher’s perceptions.
The results have indicated that the teachers of Turgut Ozal College were very satisfied with the English Plus textbook, which is currently part of the curriculum that they are following for the secondary school.
The survey presents a clear picture of the cultural context of the textbooks, and indicates that it has been very helpful for the students in increasing their understanding and awareness regarding the culture in English speaking countries. To sum up, this article mainly deals with the cultural elements of three different English textbooks used in teaching English as a second language
An analysis of the sources of competition disipline in the European Union and in Albania

The Lisbon Treaty made the “internal market” a shared competence, while necessary competition rules for the internal market are an exclusive competence of the Union. This paper aims to analyse the sources of the competition discipline in the EU and in Albania focusing more on constitutional sources. From this analyses will emerge that sources of competition discipline are numerous and each of them plays an important role in the development of the competition policy. But arises the question if these sources are all equally important or not? This paper will focus also n the importance of each source in both levels: European Union and Albanian discipline of competition
Comparative analysis of dynamic solutions using Albanian Seismic Code KTP-89 and Eurocode 8
Get PDFThe scope of this presentation is to compare some of principal characteristics of structural dynamic responses computed using Earthquake Resistant Design Regulations KTP-N.2-89, (Albanian Seismic Code) and Eurocode 8 (prEN 1998-1). In this paper are mentioned some of the principal differences between two codes, comprising mainly: Seismic Intensity Classification according to Seismic Zonation Map of Albania, Identification of Ground Types, Reference Peak Ground Acceleration, Elastic and Design Response Spectrum used to present earthquake motion at a given point on the surface. Spectrum Analysis (horizontal and vertical direction), Analysis Methods, etc.
