Technological analysis of pottery of the Bondarykha ІІ settlement
No full textThe Bondarykha settlement is located 4–5 km southwest of the village of Dibrova, Izium district, Kharkiv region. This settlement is, in fact, the type-site of the Bondarykha culture of the Late Bronze Age. The study of the compositions of ceramic paste was carried out by microscopic analysis of ceramic fractures and comparison with reference samples with known temper concentrations. Traces of vessel-forming techniques and surface smoothing were visibly preserved on the surface and ancient pottery breaks. Three distinct recipes for pottery paste were recorded, which relate to the Bondarykha horizon, filling the pit of the dwelling and its floor. In some samples correspoding to each paste recipe, it is possible to trace the method of vessel formation — in coils or bundles of 10–20 mm in diameter. The bases, where visible, are rectangular or rounded in cross-section and lack defined edges. It is equally common for the base of the walls to be formed from the edges of the base, and for the base of the walls to be joined by coiling techniques. The vessel bottoms are often bilayered or exhibit wavy fractures, the latter can be interpreted as the formation of such bases by spiral coiling of clay coild, the two-layeredness can be explained by careful integration of the vessel body with the base. Although the collection of pottery from the Bondarykha II settlement shows some variation in paste recipes, even within the same dwelling, on the one hand. On the other hand, the methods of vessel formation remain fairly consistent and probably reflect a single, yet flexible, ceramic tradition. The variation in recipes for pastes may indicate that pottery with different pastes was likely made by different artisans, who had different specific requirements for paste properties. The presence of samples with atypical ceramic production methods and unusual additives or paste recipes may indicate imported ceramics (used either as containers for traded goods or as trade items themselves) between the inhabitants of the settlement and other populations that may have had different ceramic traditions or may be locally produced vessels with specialized functions.У статті розглянуто такі аспекти технології виробництва керамічного посуду на поселенні фіналу епохи бронзи Бондариха ІІ, як рецептури формувальних мас і способи формування самих посудин, наведено попередні спроби інтерпретації отриманих даних
Establishing the Formats of Interaction between Ukraine and the Euro-Atlantic Community in the Context of the Russian-Ukrainian War (February 2014 – February 2022)
No full textThe article analyzes the process of Ukraine’s rapprochement with the structures and countries of the Euro-Atlantic security space in the context of countering Russian aggression. The context of the Russian-Ukrainian war requires additional study, particularly tracing the dynamics and analyzing the entire range of processes of Ukraine’s interaction with the Euro-Atlantic community. The author also commented on the range of concepts used in the mechanism of interconnection between Ukraine and the countries of the Euro-Atlantic community, particularly in times of war at the legislative, political, informational, and academic levels. As of 2021, the evolutionary dynamics of the institution of “strategic partnership” were observed in the context of the specification of this concept, as outlined in the National Security Strategy of 2020 and the Foreign Policy Strategy of 2021. Both acts divide the countries of strategic partnership into groups, but neither of these strategies defines the differences between these groups. Such aspects allow us to deeply trace the philosophy of interaction between Ukraine and the Euro-Atlantic community. Furthermore, the article explores the challenges and constraints faced by Ukraine, such as the lack of unanimity among NATO member states regarding Ukraine’s potential membership and the broader implications of this for regional security. By examining the legislative and institutional frameworks of cooperation, the study provides insights into the long-term strategies aimed at enhancing Ukraine’s resilience against external threats. It argues that the strategic partnership format serves as a foundation for fostering deeper integration, while simultaneously reflecting the geopolitical realities of the ongoing conflict. This comprehensive approach allows for a nuanced understanding of the transformative processes in Ukraine’s foreign policy and its integration trajectory within the Euro-Atlantic community.У статті проаналізовано процес зближення України зі структурами та країнами євроатлантичного безпекового простору в умовах протидії російській агресії. Контекст російсько-української війни вимагає додаткового вивчення, зокрема простеження динаміки та аналізу всього діапазону процесів взаємодії України з євроатлантичною спільнотою. Прокоментовано також спектр різних понять, використаних у механізмі взаємозв’язку між Україною та країнами євроатлантичної спільноти, зокрема в умовах війни, – на законодавчому, політичному, інформаційному та академічному рівнях. З’ясовано, що станом на 2021 рік спостерігалась еволюційна динаміка розвитку інституту стратегічного партнерства в контексті конкретизації цього поняття у Стратегії національної безпеки 2020 року та Стратегії зовнішньополітичної діяльності 2021 року. В обох документах виокремлено різні групи країн – стратегічних партнерів України, але чітко не визначено, чим ці групи відрізняються. Розгляд цих аспектів дає змогу глибше зрозуміти філософію взаємодії України та євроатлантичної спільноти

The impact of FinTech on the activities of insurance companies in the financial market of Ukraine
No full textThe article determines the impact of financial technologies (FinTech) on the activities of insurance companies in the financial market of Ukraine in the context of digital transformation of the economy. The article reveals the essence of the InsurTech concept as a component of FinTech, which includes the introduction of innovative technologies in insurance activities to increase the efficiency of business processes, improve customer experience and create new digital products. Examples of InsurTech solutions implementation, including automation of underwriting processes, use of mobile applications, chatbots, big data analytics, artificial intelligence and blockchain, are outlined. The article identifies the positive effects of the digitalization of the insurance market, including: automation of key processes, cost reduction, personalization of insurance services, expansion of distribution channels and increased transparency. As a result, insurance companies increase their competitiveness and better integrate into the digital ecosystem of the financial market. It is noted that in Ukraine, the InsurTech market is still in its infancy, but there are already a number of companies and projects that are actively implementing innovative technologies in the insurance sector. Examples of InsurTech companies and initiatives that work or cooperate with the Ukrainian insurance market are given. It is noted that in the context of the rapid development of financial technologies in the insurance industry, effective state regulation is important. The key challenges related to cybersecurity, the lack of digital competencies and the need for significant investments to implement new technologies are identified. Practical recommendations for insurance companies on how to adapt to new technological conditions and ensure stable development in the digital economy are proposed. It is concluded that FinTech solutions significantly transform the activities of insurance companies in the financial market of Ukraine, and therefore successful integration of innovations requires a change in organizational culture, strategic rethinking of business models, development of digital infrastructure, and adaptation to new regulatory requirements.У статті визначено вплив фінансових технологій (FinTech) на діяльність страхових компаній на фінансовому ринку України в умовах цифрової трансформації економіки. Розкрито сутність концепції InsurTech як складової FinTech, що охоплює впровадження інноваційних технологій у страхову діяльність задля підвищення ефективності бізнес-процесів, покращення клієнтського досвіду та створення нових цифрових продуктів. Окреслено приклади впровадження InsurTech-рішень, зокрема автоматизації процесів андеррайтингу, використання мобільних застосунків, чат-ботів, аналітики великих даних, штучного інтелекту та блокчейну. Визначено позитивні ефекти цифровізації страхового ринку, серед яких: автоматизації ключових процесів, зниження витрат, персоналізація страхових послуг, розширення каналів дистрибуції та підвищення прозорості. У результаті страхові компанії підвищують свою конкурентоспроможність і краще інтегруються в цифрову екосистему фінансового ринку. Зазначено, що в Україні ринок InsurTech ще перебуває на етапі формування, проте вже є низка компаній та проєктів, які активно впроваджують інноваційні технології у сфері страхування. Наведено приклади InsurTech-компаній та ініціатив, що працюють або співпрацюють зі страховим ринком України. Визначено, що у контексті стрімкого розвитку фінансових технологій у страховій галузі важливе значення має ефективне державне регулювання. Також досліджено ключові виклики, пов’язані з кібербезпекою, дефіцитом цифрових компетентностей та потребою у значних інвестиціях для впровадженні нових технологій. Запропоновано практичні рекомендації для страхових компаній щодо адаптації до нових технологічних умов й забезпечення стабільного розвитку в умовах цифрової економіки. Зроблено висновки, що FinTech-рішення суттєво трансформують діяльність страхових компаній на фінансовому ринку України, а відтак успішна інтеграція інновацій потребує зміни організаційної культури, стратегічного переосмислення бізнес-моделей, розбудови цифрової інфраструктури, а також адаптації до нових регуляторних вимог
