Eliseo Danza. L’immaginario creativo di un giurista barocco

    Get PDF
[Eliseo Danza. The creative imagination of a baroque jurist] Usually, Law and Literature studies focus on the presence of legal elements in literary invention. In this contribution, we intend to reverse this perspective by taking the literary datum present in the legal work as the object of observation. Before legal positivism technicalised the discipline, jurists did not disdain spicing up their writings with elements taken from theatre, poetry and stories. Eliseo Danza, a famous jurist of viceregal Naples, reflected in his writings the antiquarian and anecdotal taste typical of his era. In De pugna doctorum, before distinguishing the actio de pauperie from crimen homicidii, he dwells on certain legends featuring dragons and basilisks

Sul curioso paradosso di Bernard Mandeville: vizi privati, pubblici benefici

[On the curious paradox of Bernard Mandeville: private vices, public benefits.] The fable of the bees by Bernand de Mandeville is a satirical poem in which vice is praised for its function in achieving economic, social, and moral prosperity. The large commercial companies of the modern era are forced to abandon the nostalgic references to the golden age in which simplicity, frugality, and individual virtues contributed to the collective well-being. The proliferation of needs and diffusion of vices guide economic and political action that prefers to observe men as they are rather than as they should be

HVSR Measurements of the Pescara and Manfredonia Late Quaternary paleovalleys

    No full text
This dataset contains microtremor horizontal-to-vertical spectral ratio (mHVSR) measurements taken along the Adriatic coastal plain in the two paleovalley systems of Pescara and Manfredonia. The measurements were acquired to stay near as possible to pre-existing geological data and, at the same time, far from every possible noise source. The H/V curve was processed the data with the Grilla software. Each three-component time series was split into non-overlapping windows of equal length (30 s). Fourier spectra were computed for each time window and smoothed with triangular functions having a width equal to 10% of the central frequency. We obtained the mHVSR curves by averaging the mHVSR ratios computed for each window, H being the geometric average of the instrumental N-S and E-W components. The individual spectral components and mHVSR were calculated in terms of average ± standard deviation; transient perturbations were carefully removed by manual selection

La guerra, la pace, il compito del giurista. Voci dalla grande letteratura russa dell’Ottocento

[War, peace and the role of the jurist. Voices from the great Russian literature of the 19th century] The essay identifies in the opposite attitude of the main characters of Dostoevskij’s The legend of the Grand Inquisitor the models of realism and utopianism respectively in the relationship between man and power. It brings back into this scheme the opposing positions of Schmitt and Kelsen related to international law in the years following the First World War, identifying the task of the democratic jurist, after the end of the Second World War, in the research and construction of institutions and stages in order to progressively approach, in a solid and concrete way, the goal of global peace looking at the principles without rhetoric and without any illusion of an easy and definitive implementation

Quando ti penso vorrei tornare. Verso un turismo delle radici in Emilia-Romagna

    Get PDF

    Petrarca e l'Umanesimo latino

    Get PDF

REMODEL. WP3. User And System Interface. T3_8. Teaching By Demonstration Of Skills For New Assembly References And Tasks. Intuitive robot programming. v0

    No full text
This dataset was created in the framework of the Horizon 2020 project REMODEL, and is related to a robot programming framework for the simultaneous teaching of both trajectories by means of kinesthetic teaching, and robot interaction behavior by means of impedance shaping along the trajectory exploiting a wearable interface. Specifically, the wearable interface is designed to not affect the free motion of the operator, necessary to perform kinesthetic teaching, and it is based on the usage of surface electromyography (sEMG) and vibrotactile stimulation. In the experiment, the programming of requested compliance levels during the kinesthetic teaching of a trajectory is performed, and the reported results show that the provided wearable interface is successfully exploited by the operator. The data are presented in the publication: Meattini, R., Chiaravalli, D., Galassi, K., Palli, G., & Melchiorri, C. (2022). Experimental Evaluation Of Intuitive Programming Of Robot Interaction Behaviour During Kinesthetic Teaching Using sEMG And Cutaneous Feedback. Deliverable 3.1 Conceptual framework for behavioural change understanding

    Get PDF
CHORIZO aims to improve the understanding about how social norms (rules and expectations that are socially enforced) influence behaviour related to food waste generation. In order to provide effective interventions for food loss and waste (FLW) actions, the project conducts a comprehensive analysis and construction of behavioural intervention model building. Deliverable 3.1 outlines the conceptual framework for behavioural change understanding in the CHORIZO project. This work aims at setting out the theoretical framework which represents the starting point for the modelling activities, which will focus on the effects of interactions among food supply chain actors and the influence of social norms towards zero food losses and wastes (FLW). The theoretical framework will be here presented by first outlining the complexity underpinning social systems – and food systems more specifically – and the methods available to investigate them Then, the MOA and HUMAT behavioural frameworks will be presented: the former considers food waste as an unintended consequence of iterative decisions, adaptation and behaviours driven both by internal and external factors, the latter explores agents’ behavioural decision mechanisms. The following section will provide an operational definition of social norms. Finally, the last section will supply a set of challenges and attention points to be considered when incorporating MOA and HUMAT into agent-based models and pave the way forward for the understanding of how social norms influence the generation or reduction of food waste. The document starts with an introduction on the overall project objectives and structure and highlights the framework we propose for understanding and exploring behavioural change in the CHORIZO project. In the following chapters (2 to 6), complex social systems, social norms, and model construct are explained. The document ends with a conclusion and steps to follow to ensure timely attainment of the project’s objectives

Guerra, musica, pace e diritto internazionale. Un saggio sul potere delle sonorità

    Get PDF
[War, Music Peace and International Law]. Volodymyr Zelensky delivered a speech during the Grammy Award 2022, in which he said that the war in Ukraine had brought a horrible silence of death. War, however, is not just silence. War has a sound. And it’s not just the sound of bombs, the screams, the anti-aircraft sirens or the shots. There are also martial hymns, trumpets, drums, the cadence of the march, and battle chants that encourage troops and frighten enemies. This has been the tragic, thunderous melody of war for many centuries. The article explores the sounds and silences of war, not just in Ukraine, and speculates on the role of music in peacemaking, peacekeeping, peacebuilding and peace enforcement processes
