[Urban spaces, social practices and legal institutions in Albert Robida's “electric” city] The book of Albert Robida Le Vingtième Siècle, under the guise of a coming-of-age novel set within a tale of scientific anticipation, actually conceals an accurate and interesting description of the transformations induced on the city of Paris by the new electronic technologies and, above all, the impact of these on social behavior (and formations) in the urban context. The framework traced by the author thus reveals a technological progress aimed in part at improving living conditions and the progress of the person, but within a general context in which the economic powers seem to be the real directors, profiting widely from the transformations induced by technology

[Urban Creativity and public space: the case of Leoncavallo] According to the formulation developed by INWARD National Observatory on Urban Creativity, the expression “urban creativity” tends to bring together the distinct visual cultures of graffiti writing, street art, and new muralism, based on similar traits and specific characteristics. Each of the three cultures was born, matured, and continues its regeneration related to public urban space. Therefore, the complex set of urban creativity generates diversified contents and affects the communities that inhabit, frequent, and pass through urban space. All this is within a capacious and varied legal framework, which is nowadays pushed to question itself about the many particularities phenomenon expresses and requires. The article wishes to exemplify the particular case of Leoncavallo - Self-Managed Public Space in Milan, one of the most important social centers in the country which preserves in its underground area, the Dauntaun, a precious stratification of the first Italian street art

Mottetti sacri nella Milano del secolo XVIII

    Get PDF

This repository contains the dataset produced within the project “CT Scanning for Optimizing Cement–EPS Insulation Material Performances” (CEPSCAN), conducted at the DMEX laboratory of the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour (UPPA). The research aimed to enhance the performance of an insulation material commonly used in the construction sector, composed of a cementitious matrix and expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads of a few millimeters in diameter, by analyzing CT scans of multiple test specimens. The dataset includes both high- and low-resolution tomographic images acquired in static conditions to investigate different features of the samples, as well as scans performed under external mechanical loading

    Get PDF

Consumer Response to Wine Quality at Different Alcohol Levels and the Acceptance and Barriers to Alcohol-Free Wine

    No full text
This dataset shows the consumer response to wine quality at different ethanol levels and the acceptance and barriers to alcohol-free wine. The response shows that consumers were able to differentiate wine samples based on alcohol content. Additionally, overall quality scores significantly declined with decreasing alcohol content, and alcohol-free wine received the lowest score. Safety, health or wellness benefits, and the desire to avoid alcohol emerged as the primary motivations for consuming alcohol-free wine. In contrast, sensory shortcomings, higher costs, and limited availability were identified as key barriers to the adoption of alcohol-free wine. These results provide strategic insights to strengthen the positioning of alcohol-free wines in a competitive beverage market

Raw Data on Propranolol in Pig Plasma

    No full text
This dataset supports a study on the pharmacokinetics of propranolol in pig plasma. The study focused on the development and validation of a rapid and sensitive LC-MS/MS method for the simultaneous quantification of propranolol and its metabolite, 4-hydroxypropranolol, in pig plasma and dried blood spots (DBS). The method demonstrated excellent linearity, accuracy, and precision, and its application to a pharmacokinetic study in pigs revealed the absence of 4-hydroxypropranolol, providing new insights into propranolol metabolism in this species

Unraveling the Pathways of Tribochemical Reactions Involving the ZDDP Lubricant Additive by Machine-Learning-Informed Molecular Dynamics

    Get PDF
Zinc dialkyldithiophosphate (ZDDP) remains one of the most effective antiwear additives, yet the tribochemical mechanisms leading to its characteristic tribofilm formation have been debated for over 80 years. A molecular-level understanding of these reactions is crucial for designing environmentally friendly alternatives with comparable performance. Although experimental studies have identified the main constituents of the ZDDP tribofilm—namely FeS and a glassy Zn/Fe polyphosphate network—the mechanistic details of its formation remain incomplete. Computational simulations offer a unique means to probe these buried interface phenomena; however, density functional theory (DFT) provides the required chemical accuracy only at prohibitive computational cost, while conventional molecular dynamics (MD) lacks the necessary fidelity. To address this challenge, we developed the first Machine Learning Potential (MLP) specifically tailored for modeling ZDDP tribofilm formation. Using this MLP, we investigated film growth on Fe interfaces of varying reactivity, including Fe(110), Fe(210), Fe surfaces with asperities, and oxidized Fe. Our results reveal that the formation of linkage isomers through alkyl-chain transfer—described as S-to-O substitution within the molecule—is a key step in generating the polyphosphate networks characteristic of ZDDP-derived tribofilms. These simulations provide the first comprehensive, atomistically resolved picture of the dynamic processes governing ZDDP tribofilm formation

    Reference data for prolinol-water clusters

    No full text
The dataset reports experimental fits for prolinol and its hydrated complexes with one to three water molecules, obtained from broadband rotational spectra using the SPFIT/SPCAT programs. Bare prolinol adopts two low-energy conformations stabilized by an intramolecular O–H···N hydrogen bond. Upon complexation with a single water molecule, four prolinol–H₂O isomers are identified, comprising both addition and insertion structures that preserve the original conformations. For complexes with two and three water molecules, prolinol is stabilized in its highest-energy conformations by an intramolecular N–H···O hydrogen bond. These results reveal how stepwise hydration induces significant structural rearrangements and provide insights into the role of water in shaping the conformational preferences of flexible chiral molecules. Isotopologues of selected complexes, either in natural abundance or prepared under isotopic enrichment conditions, are also included
