Il complesso con pitture al centro della città di Shahr-e Gur (Firuzabad, Fars, Iran): uno studio archeologico e storico-artistico

    Get PDF

    Database of greenhouse tomato interlighting

    No full text
The database integrates raw data on fruit height, width and weight per each cluster, as well as color range, total cluster weight and average fruit weight in tomato plants grown under control conditions (illuminated only by solar radiation) and supplementary lighting supplied by a LED treatment, in a commercial greenhouse, located in Mezzolara di Budrio, Bologna, Italy. Two spreadsheet files are included – one related to the measures performed during spring, the other related to the measures performed during summer

Database on "LED Lighting Systems for Horticulture: Business Growth and Global Distribution"

    No full text
The datasets provides insights into the current global horticulture LED industry and the present features and potentialities for LEDs’ applications. The database includes 301 manufacturers and 1473 LED lighting systems for plant growth. From database it emerges that Europe (40%) and North America (29%) are the main regions for production. The current LED luminaires’ lifespans show 10 and 30% losses of light output after 45,000 and 60,000 working hours while the vast majority of worldwide LED lighting systems present efficacy values ranging from 2 to 3 μmol J−1 (70%)

MADFORWATER. WP4 Field pilots for the adaptation and integration of technologies. Task4.3 Operation and optimization of the field pilots. Wastewater treatment performances and Irrigation/treated wastewater reuse performances. Municipal wastewater pilot. Morocco

    No full text
This dataset contains MADFORWATER data relative to the wastewater (WW) treatment performances of the Domestic wastewater of Lamzar Agadir Morocco pilot. They were evaluated by a regular monitoring of the main physical, chemical and microbiological parameters at the inlet and outlet, and in particular biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), chemical oxygen demand (COD), NH3, NO3-, P, Coliforms, and Nematodes. It also contains MADFORWATER data relative to the irrigation/treated wastewater (WW) reuse performances of the Domestic wastewater of Lamzar Agadir Morocco pilot. The objective of this study is to evaluate the effect of treated wastewater on olive trees and to examine the occurrence of essential elements (physical-chemical parameters), and pathogens in treated waste water, soil and olive leaves of an olive parcel in the Ocean Golf in Agadir , Morocco. A comparison between 4 different treatments was done, each with 15 trees. A monitoring of olive plant growth, crop production and water consumption was done. The behavior of the irrigation system with treated WW was evaluated in terms of particle deposit in the system, variation with time of flowrate from specific calibrated nozzles and regular drippers

Time and Causality in the Social Sciences

    Get PDF
This article deals with the role of time in causal models in the social sciences, in particular in structural causal modeling, in contrast to time-free models. The aim is to underline the importance of time-sensitive causal models. For this purpose, it also refers to the important discussion on time and causality in the philosophy of science, and examines how time is taken into account in demography and in economics as examples of social sciences. Temporal information is useful to the extent that it is placed in a correct causal structure, and thus further corroborating the causal mechanism or generative process explaining the phenomenon under consideration. Despite the fact that the causal ordering of variables is more relevant for explanatory purposes than the temporal order, the former should nevertheless take into account the time-patterns of causes and effects, as these are often episodes rather than single events. For this reason in particular, it is time to put time at the core of our causal models

MADFORWATER. WP4 Field pilots for the adaptation and integration of technologies. Task4.3 Operation and optimization of the field pilots. Wastewater treatment performances and Irrigation/treated wastewater reuse performances. Textile wastewater pilot

    No full text
This data set includes the data produced by partner UTM in the framework of MADFORWATER relatively to the optimization of the textile wastewater (TWW) pilot operational conditions. The TWW treatment performance was evaluated by a regular monitoring of the main physical and chemical parameters at the inlet and outlet, and in particular pH, EC, chemical oxygen demand (COD), NH4-N, PO4-P, suspended solids and dyes. Moreover, a gradual optimization of the wastewater (WW) pilot operational conditions was performed. The data set also includes the data related to the irrigation/treated wastewater (WW) reuse performances. The irrigation/treated WW reuse performances were evaluated by monitoring sorghum plants growth, crop production and water consumption. In order to determine the effect of TTWW on soil properties, soil samples were taken before sowing and at the end of the experimental period. The samples were analyzed for their physicochemical properties (pH, EC, organic matter (OM), total organic carbon (TOC)) and microbial activity (fluoresceine diacetate hydrolysis activity (FDA)). The quality of the experimental data had been carefully validated through the use of suitable analytical standards (at least 2 standards for each analytical session) and control charts. Two types of potential users are envisaged for this dataset: (i) researchers active in the field of textile (TWW) treatment and valorization, that can use this data to design their experiments, and (ii) companies active in the fields of WW treatment and valorization, that can use this data to develop their business plans
