    This folded map was sent to the lab in need of a rush treatment for patron use. It was humidified in a cold humidity chamber to open brittle folds and flattened in between blotters. Once opened, the map was usable. It was stored in a corrugated portfolio with a Rising Museum buffered mat board backing

This item is part of a larger collection of Lincoln materials at the Public Library that was displayed in the Lincoln/Doris Kearns Goodwin exhibit at the Cincinnati Room from September through December of 2021.     Penmanship Sample : Preservation Lab Treatment Report

    This is a small poster containing a penmanship sample. It was presented to the Lab for repair and housing. It had been stored folded for many years; one quadrant was detached along the fold, and the remaning quadrants were beginning to break at their folded lines. A second quadrant detached during handling.
