    This item is an account of important recent discoveries and improvements in the fields of chemistry and mineralogy around the time of publication (1814) and was made to be an appendix to the Dictionary of Chemistry and Mineralogy. It is a half leather binding with a shell patterned-marbled paper covering the boards. The leather binding on the outside of the back cover features several hand-stamped characters in no apparent order near the joint. The text block consists of several gatherings sewn through the fold onto 5 recessed cords. Both the front flyleaf and title page feature a round embossment that reads “University Library Lawrence, Kansas.”View Catalog Record: http://uclid.uc.edu/record=b256305

The roll measures 12” x 2”; the outside of the roll bears the original manufacturer’s label from The Aeolian Company.
