    Get PDF
The existence of the internet produces virtual communication where the exchange of messages and interactions are established through cyberspace. This phenomenon will create a new space for someone to interact freely. One of them is the tendency of individuals who are unable to reveal their true identity in real life, so they express it through the angry community on social media X. This study aims to understand how users who are members of a community form their identity through social media. The theory used is George Herbert Mead's symbolic interaction theory with the concept of self. Using a qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach. The sampling technique was carried out using purposive sampling, with the criteria of an age range of 20-25 years, having uploaded a post to the community and received feedback from other members, and the characteristics of the account using an anonymous account or not reflecting the real identity. The results of this study indicate that informants who are members of the angry community form their virtual identity differently 2 from the real world. It is formed through social interaction where "I" allows spontaneous expression and emotion while "Me" regulates social control over that expression. Interaction with community members, plays a role in the formation and strengthening of identity through the internalization of norms and social validation

Culture is the result of human creativity, feeling, and initiative, encompassing aspects such as knowledge, belief, art, morality, customs, and skills passed down through social interaction. In everyday life, culture is often interpreted as traditional heritage, including regional dances, musical instruments, languages, and traditional weapons that reflect the identity of a community. Traditional art plays a vital role in cultural heritage, serving not only as a medium for expressing human inner beauty but also as a vessel for preserving noble values, social norms, and worldviews. Pati Regency, located in Indonesia, is rich in traditional arts that represent its local cultural identity. One example is the Barong Wadon dance, which was successfully revived in 2017 as part of cultural preservation efforts. Additionally, performances such as Ketoprak Siswo Budoyo have developed into prominent subsectors within the local creative economy, aligning with the region's vision to become a creative city by 2025. This illustrates the potential for culture to act as a driving force for local economic growth. However, the preservation of traditional arts in Pati faces significant challenges. One major issue is the lack of regeneration among art practitioners, particularly in ketoprak performances. A 2022 study revealed that essential roles such as actors, sinden (female vocalists), and niyaga (gamelan musicians) are becoming increasingly difficult to replace due to declining interest from younger generations. Contributing factors include low income, heavy workloads, the absence of structured mentorship, and weak group membership engagement. Similarly, tembang dolanan (traditional children’s songs) in Parenggan, Pati, is experiencing decline due to the influence of global culture, which is displacing the local values embedded in these folk songs. Addressing this situation requires strong synergy among the government, artists, and the local community to formulate a comprehensive and sustainable preservation strategy. A concrete step in this direction is the proposed establishment of the Pati Folk Art Centre, envisioned as a hub for education, development, and conservation of traditional arts in the region. This institution is expected not only to serve as a space for artistic and cultural expression but also as a platform for cross-sector collaboration to ensure the continuity of Pati’s cultural heritage. Through a holistic approach, traditional arts can remain alive and relevant amid modern challenges and contribute meaningfully to the region’s economic and social development

The Old Market of Gorang Gareng in Kawedanan District of Magetan Regency used to be the economic center of the community, but now it has experienced a decline in the function and physical quality of the building. This is due to the relocation of traders to the shelter market, as well as the lack of attractiveness and facilities that meet the needs of today's society. On the other hand, the Gorang Gareng area has great potential in the number of young people, educational activities, and the wealth of local industries such as pottery, batik, and culinary specialties. Building renewal through redesign can maximize the purpose and new function of the old market. The purpose of this redesign is to (1) Improve the quality of the old market building of Gorang Gareng Magetan by redesigning it to adjust the new function as a Community Zone and Creative Work Space, (2) Adjust the interests of today's generation by analyzing the need for facilities that are able to facilitate the limitations of public spaces to be more inclusive to support various activities that can provide new experiences. The design concept focuses on the integration of community space and creative workspace by considering local potential. The design process is carried out through literature studies, field observations, interviews, and comparative studies. The design results include reprocessing the market zone into a collaborative space that supports creative, educational, and recreational activities. The design uses a creative tourism approach by prioritizing sustainable and contextual architectural principles that are friendly to all people. With this redesign, it is expected that the Old Gorang Gareng Market can become a new center of creativity and social interaction, strengthen local identity, and encourage community-based economic growth in the Magetan region
