The interpretation of 'Yi' in Pre-Qin Confucianism \ue2\ue2focus on Confucius, Mencius and Hsun-Tzu
This thesis focuses on analyzing the significance of \ue2righteousness\ue2 (\ue7\ube\ua9) among Pre-Qin Confucian thinker such as Confucius, Mencius, and Hsun-Tzu. In Confucianism, \ue2righteousness\ue2 holds a position as one of the significant virtues, and it has often been discussed under the framework of \ue2Distinction between Righteousness and Profit,\ue2\uef\ubc\ue7\ube\ua9\ue5\ua9\ue4\ub9\ue8\ube\ua8\uef\ubc, and \ue2righteousness\ue2often used to represent the core value of Confucianism. However, the individual concept of \ue2righteousness\ue2 has been neglected, and often interpret as \ue2appropriateness\ue2 (\ue5\uae) without any in-depth analysis. Compared with other crucial virtues in Confucianism such as \ue2benevolence\ue2 (\ue4\ubb), \ue2ritual propriety\ue2 (\ue7\ua6\uae), and \ue2wisdom\ue2 (\ue6\uba), \ue2righteousness\ue2 has received relatively less attention. Currently, there is no comprehensive and in-depth study specifically focused on \ue2righteousness\ue2 in the academic field.
The first chapter introduces research motivation, and review the existing result of research, mainly focusing on the meaning of \ue2righteousness\ue2 during the Pre-Qin period and it\ue2s meaning within Pre-Qin Confucianism. Chapter two provides a brief analysis of the term \ue2righteousness\ue2 and examines its usage in Confucian classics. Utilizing texts such as \ue2Book of Odes\ue2 (\ue8\ua9\ua9\ue7\ub6), \ue2Book of Changes\ue2 (\ue5\ua8\ue6), \ue2Book of Documents\ue2 (\ue5\ub0\ue6\ub8), and \ue2Tso Chuan\ue2 (\ue5\ub7\ua6\ue5\ub3), analyzes how \ue2righteousness\ue2 is used in these Confucian classics.
Chapter three proceed to the study of \ue2righteousness\ue2 within the philosophy of Confucius. By targeting the passages mentioning \ue2righteousness\ue2 in the \ue2Analects\ue2 (\ue8\uab\ue8\uaa), this chapter analyzes the implications that \ue2righteousness\ue2 holds within Confucius' thought. In chapter four, depend on the previous research, \ue2righteousness\ue2 has gained evolution of the concept during the Warring States Period\uef\ubc\ue6\ub0\ue5\ue6\ue4\ubb\ua3\uef\ubc.By integrating the relevant research, this chapter has an in-depth analysis of the concept of \ue2righteousness\ue2 within the philosophy of Mencius.
Chapter five delves into the philosophy of Hsun-Tzu, particularly exploring the concept of \ue2righteousness\ue2 within the text of \ue2Hsun-Tzu\ue2\uef\ubc\ue8\ue5\uad\uef\ubc, and examines the evolution of the Confucian notion of \ue2righteousness\ue2 within XunTsu's philosophy. Chapter six summarizes the findings and discussions from the previous chapters.

On the Application of Adversarial Training Method to Mandarin-English Code-switching Speech Synthesis System
In this thesis, adversarial training is applied to improve English-Mandarin code-switching speech synthesis system. In our baseline model FastSpeech2 (FS2), the Transformer-based encoder and decoder are replaced with Conformer-based architecture to extract local features more precisely. Domain adversarial training and conditional generative adversarial training are integrated into FS2 to increase code-switching speaker similarity and enhance speech quality. We regard speech synthesizer as a generator in CGAN, and adopt the joint conditional and unconditional (JCU) discriminator. These modules use adversarial training to increase the quality of the generated mel-spectrogram. Speaker classifier (SC) based on domain adversarial training adopts a gradient reversal layer to separate the text and speaker information. Using different weight values for SC loss to the total loss will decide how the modules affect the system, and also determine the performance of the system. The experiment shows that a large weight for SC loss leads to unrecognizable synthesized speech or foreign accents in synthesized speech, and the small weight for SC loss leads to insufficient speaker similarity across code-switching speeches. We find an optimal weight for the SC loss and apply it to the system with CGAN. We evaluate the synthesized speech from the above systems, CGAN-FS2 system achieves a better mean opinion score (MOS) than the FS2+SC system. The MOS increases from 3.61 to 3.80 for code-switching speech, from 3.88 to 3.97 for English speech, and from 3.74 to 3.75 for Mandarin speech
The Development and Changes of the U.S.-Philippines Military Alliance
This thesis explains the coalition political development relationship between the Philippines and the United States. During this development process, the Philippines has a record of leaving and rejoining military alliances many times. To explain why the Philippines, as a small country, behaves in alliance politics, this paper adopts the viewpoint of "neoclassical realism" and believes that in military alliances, decision-makers will face the alliance dilemma of national security and national autonomy and sometimes cannot. Therefore, the final decision of policymakers depends on the state of the international structure and the judgment of those in power influenced by domestic political factors. This thesis will adopt the case study method and carry on the examination with the method of process tracking
Organizational Socialization Mediates the Social Astuteness and Promotion Opportunities: Self-Monitoring as a Moderator
Recently, organizations faced drastic changes in the environment, and the trend of declining birthrates has gradually caused the organization to face the problem of a shortage of workers. Retaining talents has become a difficulty and challenge that the organization needs to solve urgently. Based on the "Attraction-Selection-Attrition" theory of individual-organization fit, this study explores the socialization process and opportunities for promotion when employees face new environments or jobs. Previous studies have confirmed that if employees have high personality traits, they will be positively correlated with organizational socialization, which will significantly affect the positive benefits of employees at work. However, there are still few previous types of research on social astuteness and career development. Hence, this study will research the impact of social astuteness on organizational socialization and promotion opportunities, and test the effect of self-monitoring as a moderating variable. The object of this study is mainly workers with an organization size of more than 50 people. The data is collected by online questionnaire survey in two stages. A total of 270 valid data were collected. This study also confirmed through the independent sample t-test that the degree of organizational socialization of those with more than 5 years of experience is higher than those with less than 5 years of experience. In this study, we used reliability and validity analysis and correlation analysis, followed by Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), independent sample t-test, hierarchical regression analysis, and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to test the mediation model. The results of this study show that: 1. Social astuteness has a significant positive relationship with organizational socialization; 2. Organizational socialization has a positive and significant relationship with promotion opportunities; 3. Social astuteness has no significant relationship with promotion opportunities; 4. Organizational socialization Self-monitoring mediates the relationship between social acuity and promotion opportunities; 5. Self-monitoring has no significant moderating relationship between organizational socialization and promotion opportunities. In conclusion, this study proposes practical implications and future research suggestions for reference by organizations and subsequent researchers
Design and Analysis of Flexible Thermochromic Humidity Sensors Based on PEDOT:PSS composites
The progress of technology has led to a significant focus on the research and development of humidity sensing devices. The monitoring and regulation of humidity are essential for the management of medical, food, and industrial settings. Consequently, humidity sensors have emerged as a prominent area of investigation in recent years. Numerous studies have demonstrated that the utilization of polymers, metal oxides, and other composite materials could yield humidity sensors with varying degrees of precision and applicability. Resistance and capacitance sensors have garnered increasing attention in the field of humidity sensing due to their cost-effectiveness and ease of production.
In order to extend the application range of sensors, researchers employ various techniques such as altering structures, modifying materials, and utilizing different working principles. However, the high resistance values of previously published sensors posed a challenge in integrating them with other electronic devices and utilizing them in the domain of humidity sensors.
In this study, we present a straightforward approach to address the limitations. The drop-casting technique is utilized to fabricate a humidity sensor film by blending PEDOT:PSS (poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate) and EG (ethylene glycol). The film has served as a sensing component, and by adjusting the weight percentage concentration of EG, a greater resistance response to relative humidity has achieved. The film was connected with FTO (fluorine doped tin oxide) glass and processed with thermochromic liquid crystal using screen printing to produce color changes at different voltages. Furthermore, this study incorporates PEDOT:PSS with various compounds such as DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide), PVA (Polyvinyl alcohol), and Glycerol to produce humidity sensing films that can be utilized in different ranges, and their response outcomes are evaluated at varying relative humidity levels.
In summary, the proposed study suggests a solution for real-time sensing of environmental air pollution by utilizing a combination of FTO glass, thermochromic liquid crystal, and humidity sensing film. This approach enables the acquisition of the corresponding relationship between resistance, current, and color at varying relative humidity levels ranging from 20% to 90%. The research findings offer an effective means of addressing the issue of air pollution
Talent Identification in Basketball, The Information Coaches Collect in Different Age Group\ue2s Athletes
How coaches detect talent remains unclear in all sports around the world. Despite a vast literature in economics and sociology focus on specific age groups of sports' talent identification. However, they have different explanations on whether we can detect talented players in sports. This thesis explores the information that basketball coaches want to gather and why coaches spot on different criteria from different age groups of athletes. This thesis conducts five in-depth interviews with coaches who lead different levels' teams. The participants indicate their preferences to collect athletes' private information such as motivation and leadership using their intuition and experience.
Physicality and basic skill sets are the dominant traits at the earlier identification stage because performance statistics are not valuable. In contrast, coaches consider more diverse attributes and statistical-oriented traits such as efficiency rate in the later stage due to resources and improved playing competitiveness
Exploring Carbon Emission Policies of Taiwan's Steel Industry
The issue of carbon emissions has become a global concern, and Taiwan's steel industry is no exception. This study first analyzes the costs of steel raw materials, blast furnaces, and electric furnaces, and then explores the carbon emission reduction strategies of Taiwanese steel companies through the implementation of the CSC's carbon reduction plan. The study finds that in the short term, steel companies can only address carbon reduction pressure by improving their energy efficiency, increasing their use of green energy, and optimizing their processes. In the medium to long term, they need to invest in new technologies and equipment to achieve carbon neutrality and peak carbon emissions. In addition, an implementation team should be established to promote and train employees as core drivers of green steel reform. Furthermore, this study focuses on Taiwanese listed steel companies from 2008 to 2021 and examines the determinants of their willingness to disclose carbon emissions information and carbon intensity. The empirical results show that steel companies with higher gross profit margins, upstream positions in the industry chain, and larger scales are more willing to disclose their carbon emissions information. Through Heckman's two-stage regression analysis, the study finds no significant relationship between the financial characteristics of the steel industry and carbon intensity. Carbon intensity is only highly positively correlated with upstream steel mills

In addition, the customer journey and service blueprint tools will be used to design a set of specific and clear-guided steps for digital transformation methodology, which will address the lack of industry-specific in existing literature and improve the success rate of digital transformation for department store operators who can follow this method
On the behavior of differentiated price competition under licensing and technology spillover
The focus of this study is to extend the model of vertical product differentiation pricing competition, considering different licensing methods when the technology of multinational companies is adopted by domestic firms. It also considers the possibility of technological spillovers during technology transfer and explores the optimal decision-making for both multinational and domestic companies from a game theory perspective under scenarios of independent innovation, fixed fee licensing, royalty licensing, and cooperative licensing. The research findings indicate that as the degree of spillovers increases, the non-licensing producer absorbs more technology, enhances its learning capabilities, and integrates it with its existing technology, leading to faster quality improvement. Additionally, it is observed that under certain degrees of spillovers and fixed fee ranges, accepting fixed fee licensing is the optimal choice for domestic companies. Finally, when considering social welfare, the results indicate that regardless of the licensing method, an increase in the degree of spillovers leads to increased consumer surplus and overall social welfare. However, if the government has different preferences for companies and consumers, neglecting consumer rights under most licensing scenarios can have adverse effects on public interest
The Stakeholder Management of Public Art Project\ue2A Case Study of Public Artwork Installation Plan for Sizihwan Marine Center
Since the promotion of public art policy in Taiwan, the form of installation has been constrained by policy and professional perspectives for a long time. It is often considered as a single visual art object, resulting in a parallel relationship between public art and the public instead of achieving integration. In recent years, with the liberation of creative forms, public art has undergone new developments, turning to public issue-oriented and community-based art practices. This study takes the "Public Artwork Installation Plan for Sizihwan Marine Center" as a practical research case. Different from the traditional way of setting up public art, the project adopts the concept of new genre public art, takes public issues, art education and the practice of participatory art as the core of public art installation, and focuses on the public participation in the process of artistic creation and reflection on public issues.
This study adopts an action research strategy supplemented by participatory observation and analysis. Through the systematic analysis of the needs of stakeholders, a communication strategy is drawn up among the stakeholders of the case, and then improve the practice and public art issues that may be encountered in the future. From practical experience, the researcher found that not only the policy has the problem of lack of horizontal communication among various departments, but also the huge policy and stakeholders in the campus system have different opinions on new genre public art. Therefore, researcher managed the issues of public art placement and removal according to the threats and potential cooperation that stakeholders may pose. By coordinating and communicating, researcher increase the possibilities of stakeholder cooperation to achieve a win-win situation for all stakeholders
