La Recomendación 11 desarrolla el Principio 8 CBGSC 2020. Las formulaciones transcritas provienen, sin modificación alguna, del tenor de la versión original del CBGSC 2015 donde se introduce la vigente política sobre las primas que perciben los accionistas por su asistencia a la junta general. Varias son las cuestiones que conviene anticipar para una mejor comprensión del tema a tratar. En primer lugar, las primas de asistencia siguen sin estar contempladas en nuestra normativa societaria. En segundo, que se trata de un recurso que ha sido objeto de escasa atención tanto por la doctrina mercantilista como por los autores de los informes y códigos de buen gobierno corporativo que se han ido sucediendo en el tiempo, así como por los que los han comentado o analizado, aunque se utiliza desde hace décadas por algunas sociedades cotizadas españolas. No obstante, el origen práctico y la aticipicidad de las primas no han sido —ni son— obstáculo para admitir su validez; validez que se ha aceptado de forma «intuitiva» por juristas y prácticos que se limitaron a discutir, como veremos, sobre su naturaleza jurídica
Environmental assessment of broccoli stalk revalorisation via pickling: An attributional and consequential LCA approach
This study evaluates the environmental impact of revalorising broccoli stalks—typically used as animal feed—into pickled products. A life cycle assessment (LCA) was conducted using attributional (A-LCA) and consequential (C-LCA) approaches, with a cradle-to-grave boundary and the EF 3.1 method. The A-LCA estimated a carbon footprint of 1.04 kg CO2eq/kg of packaged pickled stalk (drained weight), mainly from cultivation and packaging. The C-LCA, better suited for decision-making, considered the substitution of pickled cauliflower by pickled broccoli stalks and the additional demand for alfalfa hay, as stalks are no longer available for animal feed. This approach revealed environmental benefits in eight of ten impact categories, notably: mineral and metal resource use (net savings), freshwater ecotoxicity (−88.6 %), particulate matter (−74.9 %), and carbon footprint (−26 %). However, increased alfalfa hay production introduced trade-offs in fossil energy and water use. Revalorisation shows environmental potential, although further optimisation is needed to minimize burdens.

RIPN: A tool for implementing cyber-physical systems by using interpreted Petri Nets and teleo-reactive programs
We present a new tool called RIPN, implemented in Java programming language, that enables the development of cyber-physical systems by integrating interpreted Petri nets and teleo-reactive programs. Petri nets have long been used in engineering for modeling discrete event systems. In turn, teleo-reactive programs allow complex behaviours to be specified by means of a prioritised set of rules, of great application proven in the field of autonomous vehicles and robotics. Combining these two formalisms provides a powerful tool for developing cyber-physical systems, leveraging the strengths of each. The integration of interpreted Petri nets and teleo-reactive programs via a shared knowledge base called the BeliefStore, and a unified event management is presented as a novel approach that can be adopted by the community for the implementation of cyber-physical systems
State Machine Model of a Controller System for an Educational Mobile Robot
The controllers of mobile robots are organized with different computational models depending on the abstraction layer, which results in their design and development processes using different methodologies and technologies. In this work, we present a common design framework that integrates the computational models of each layer into a network of extended finite-state machines (EFSMs). Its main advantage is to be technology-agnostic and can use different development technologies, ranging from a simple programming IDE to tool suites made of simulators, actual robots, and software, including the robotic operating system (ROS). This design framework evolved from early versions back in 2014 up to the most recent in 2024, which includes a simple deliberative level that bridges the robot with artificial intelligence (AI) tools and has been thoroughly tested in labs with undergraduate students of different engineering programs.This research has been partially funded by the Spanish MICIU grant GREENPATCH: Fully Disposable and Advanced Computing for Physical Monitoring, PID2023-148717OB-C21
Investment alternatives for retirement savings: a comparative study between public pensions, private pensions, and financial markets
El presente trabajo se propone analizar y comparar diversas alternativas de inversión a largo plazo orientadas a la jubilación, con el fin de ofrecer una visión clara y accesible de las opciones disponibles. Para ello, se realizará un análisis práctico y basado en datos, desglosando cada alternativa en términos de rentabilidad histórica, riesgo, fiscalidad y liquidez, entre otros factores, a fin de determinar la opción más adecuada según distintos perfiles de inversores. Salicylic Acid Mitigates Lead-Induced Stress in the Endangered Shrub Cistus heterophyllus subsp. carthaginensis
Lead (Pb) contamination severely threatens plant health and biodiversity, particularly in mining-affected ecosystems. The phytohormone, salicylic acid (SA), plays a crucial role in regulating plant stress responses. Here, the effect of SA supplementation on the in vitro response of Cistus heterophyllus subsp. carthaginensis, a critically endangered Mediterranean shrub, to Pb stress (50 μM Pb(NO3)2) was evaluated. SA dose pretreatment (100 μM) was selected based on phenolic accumulation in leaf tissues. Physiological and biochemical parameters—including mineral content, photosynthetic performance, total phenolics, and antioxidant activity—were quantitatively analyzed. SA pretreatment markedly reduced Pb accumulation (25%) while promoting Fe (73%), K (29%), and Mn (15%) uptake. It also alleviated Pb-induced photosynthetic impairment, preserved chloroplast integrity, increased chlorophyll content, and reduced the accumulation of lipid peroxidation products. Furthermore, SA promoted the accumulation of phenolic compounds—such as flavonoids, (+)-catechin, gallic acid, and hydroxycinnamic acid derivatives—in Pb-treated shoots, resulting in increased antioxidant capacity, as reflected by DPPH and FRAP assays, and protection against lipid autooxidation. However, no differential effect of SA pretreatment on DNA protection against oxidative damage was observed. Overall, SA acted as an effective priming agent, maintaining mineral homeostasis, photosynthetic stability, and antioxidant defense under Pb stress. The impact of European firms’ emissions reduction effectiveness on financial constraints: Evidence from the quintuple helix model perspective
This study analyzes (i) whether firms that are more committed to reducing emissions benefit from reduced financial constraints and (ii) the moderating effects of the five institutional systems of the Quintuple Helix Model (QHM), i.e., economic, education, culture, governance, and natural environment. Based on a sample of quoted European companies for the 2015–2020 period, we document that firms with greater emissions reduction effectiveness benefit from better access to finance due to fewer financial constraints. We also show that this reduction is more substantial in countries with poorer governance quality, lower GDP growth and economic freedom, less scientific production and public educational expenditure and less natural capital. Moreover, the effect of firms’ emissions reduction effectiveness on reducing financial constraints is amplified in companies situated in countries characterized by more individualism, masculinity, uncertainty avoidance and power distance, and less long-term orientation and indulgence. Overall, our results suggest a substitution effect between the market mechanism and country-level characteristics to incentivize firms to behave responsibly in countries where the QHM institutional dimensions do not favor a commitment to environmental sustainability. Development of an interactive virtual museum
En la presente memoria se realizará una guía de como realizar un museo interactivo utilizando la herramienta de creación de colecciones Omeka Classic. A lo largo de este trabajo compararemos diferentes aplicaciones para la creación de colecciones y veremos las ventajas de Omeka Classic para el trabajo que queremos realizar. También repasaremos de manera explicada como podemos instalar Omeka Classic en nuestro ordenador y hacerlo funcionar, sin necesidad de tener un Servidor Web en el que cargarlo, utilizando XAMPP. Este nos servirá tanto como base de datos para almacenar la información mediante MySQL, como servidor Apache en el que colocar nuestro museo virtual. Una vez descargado Omeka Classic, abarcaremos las distintas configuraciones que podemos realizar en nuestro museo virtual con el fin de aumentar su personalización para poder crear exactamente el tipo de colección que necesitamos.
