A Straightforward Synthesis of Pinocembrin
A simple synthetic method for pinocembrin from cinnamic acid and 1,3,5-trihydroxybenzene was provided. This method can be performed in one-pot two steps reaction using inexpensive chemical reagents, whereas conventional methods need multiple steps from somewhat expensive starting reagents. The experimental procedure is facilitated, that is, to a DMF solution of cinnamoyl chloride generated in situ, a solution of 1,3,5-trihydroxybenzene and AlCl 3 in DCE/PhNO 2 was added, and the resultant mixture was heated to afford pinocembrin. This method does not require protection of phenolic hydroxy groups.journal articl
心理尺度回答におけるクライエントの「つまずき」と 心理職のサポート
This study defines “stumbling in responses” (hereinafter called “stumbling”) as the difficulty a client has in giving a valid response about their condition to a certain situation, psychological scale, or item. This study explored the presence, situation, and clinical psychologists’ support for clients’ stumbling in clinical situations from the perspective of clinical psychologists. An open-ended web-based survey of clinical psychologists showed that 99 out of 103 valid respondents noticed stumbling. Qualitative analysis revealed various situations causing stumbling, the diversity of clients’ expressions, clinical psychologists’ support, and different characteristics of stumbling in the collected responses. Quantitative analysis of co-occurrence frequencies and rates showed that the situation was related to stumbling, and that stumbling was related to support. These results are expected to facilitate the development of appropriate methods for stumbling prevention and support.journal articl
<査読付萌芽論文>〈活路〉としての音楽:日本におけるエル・システマ実践を事例とした試行的分類
In this paper, I would like to focus on the practices of El Sistema in Japan, and to tentatively organize and classify the roles that El Sistema practices are thought to play in Japanese society. The clue to this discussion is the annual reports issued by Friends of El Sistema Japan which has been working on El Sistema practice in Japan since 2012.
After examining Friends of El Sistema Japan's annual reports, we were able to discern matters that could be broadly categorized into seven themes: (1) disasters and music, (2) disparities and music, (3) disabilities and music, (4) regional revitalization, human resource development (including talent discovery) and music, (5) school life and music, (6) communication, connections, place to belong and music, and (7) “adults” and music. Among these seven themes, some specific descriptions appeared in the annual reports as the activities of Friends of El Sistema Japan expanded widely, other specific descriptions appeared in the annual reports from the beginning. This can be seen as showing the evolution of El Sistema practice in Japanese society.
This paper is positioned as exploratory research, and based on the seven experimental classifications derived here, we will moreover clarify the roles that the practices of El Sistema play in Japanese society, and furthermore the social roles of music. We will continue to lead to a more concrete sociological analysis and consideration of the potential of the social roles of music by next field research and other findings.departmental bulletin pape
大学生は英語学習においてどのような困難に直面するのか? : 困難の内容と能力の暗黙理論に着目した検討
本研究では、大学生が英語学習において直面する困難の内容に焦点を当て、それらに対して暗黙理論が及ぼす効果を検討した。暗黙理論とは能力の成長可能性についての信念を指し、本研究では知能と英語能力に関する暗黙理論に焦点を当てた。英語学習の困難の内容について探索するために、予備調査では357 名の大学生を対象に自由記述形式で調査を行った。本調査では258 名の大学生を対象として、英語学習で直面する様々な困難、知能観、英語力観について回答を求めた。因子分析の結果、困難の内容は7 つに分類されることが示唆された。重回帰分析の結果、学習全般の無力感、意欲低下という困難は英語能力が生まれつきだと思う英語力観と関連していたが、他の困難については暗黙理論との関連が見られなかった。最後に、暗黙理論研究と英語学習における本研究の意義が議論された。departmental bulletin pape
幾何平均的な最大作用素の古典的ロレンツ空間における有界性の条件について
The purpose of this paper is to give a limiting case of Arino-Muckenhoupt's results (1990). That is, we consider the conditions for the boundedness of the geometric mean maximal operator on classical Lorentz spaces.
Firstly, we state Hardy's inequality for the arithmetic and geometric means. We note that the inequality for the geometric means can be regarded as the limiting case of the inequality for the arithmetic means. We also state one of the results of Arino-Muckenhoupt as follows: For the usual Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator to be bounded on classical Lorentz spaces, it is necessary and sufficient that the weighted Hardy inequality for the arithmetic means holds for non-increasing functions.
Secondly, we would like to consider a limiting case of this result. In this case, we use the geometric mean maximal operator introduced by Shi instead of the usual Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator. Then, we give necessary and sufficient conditions for the operator to be bounded on classical Lorentz spaces, respectively. However, these conditions are not equivalent, so we cannot say that the result is an analogy of Arino-Muckenhoupt's result itself. This is because there is a difference in the parameters associated with the function spaces between the necessary and sufficient conditions. Filling this difference and considering other approaches will be a future challenge.
In addition, in the proof of theorems and lemmas, we will consider the logarithm of the functions, but we must always be careful that the sign of the logarithm changes depending on whether the value of the function is greater than or less than one.departmental bulletin pape
Shrinking Circular Nim
The game of Nim, which has been well known for many years, has numerous variations. One such variation is Circular Nim, where piles of stones are arranged on a circumference, and players take stones from consecutive adjacent piles in one move. In this paper, we propose a new variant called Shrinking Circular Nim, in which the size of the circle decreases as the game progresses. We also examine the winning conditions in this variant. This paper discusses that Shrinking Circular Nim is solved for initial configurations with five or fewer piles.
