医療機関で性的マイノリティはいかに包摂されうるか : 公立病院と診療所での「家族等」の取り組みを通して
性的マイノリティが排除される問題が指摘される中、日本では性的マイノリティのカップルを婚姻に準じた関係と認めるパートナーシップ宣誓制度が相次いで成立している。こうした背景を踏まえ、本研究は性的マイノリティが医療機関でいかに包摂されうるかを、公立病院と診療所における「家族等」の取り組みを事例に検討した。その結果、公立の大病院では高齢化や実婚の増加等周辺の世帯構造の変化への対応とともに、患者の同性パートナーを「家族等」として扱う立地自治体の方針に則った運用がなされるようになっていた。他方、小規模の診療所では患者本人との関係性にかかわらず、本人が指定する人に病状を説明する等カミングアウトを強いない医療実践がなされていた。医療機関の規模や診療内容によって、性的マイノリティを包摂するための柔軟な取り組みが採用されうることが示された。As the exclusion of sexual minorities is recognized as a problem, a series of partnership oath systems have been established in Japan. This study examined how sexual minorities can be included in medical institutions by examining “family and other” initiatives in a public hospital and clinic. The results revealed that large public hospitals responded to changes in the surrounding household structure, such as the aging of the population and the increased prevalence of de facto marriages, and operated in accordance with the local government policy of treating the same-sex partner of a patient as “family and other.” On the other hand, a smaller clinic was practicing medical care that did not force patients to come out, such as explaining their medical condition to a person designated by the patient, regardless of the relationship with the patient. These results indicate that flexible approaches to the inclusion of sexual minorities can be adopted depending on the size of the medical institution and the nature of the practice.journal articl

クラウドファンディングは, 補助金などが利用できない場合の資金調達において効果的な手段である. しかし, 見知らぬ他人の支援のみに頼って, 目標金額を達成することは困難である. 従って, 資金調達には利用可能な補助金を調査・利用するのみではなく, 支援者確保のため人々との関係を構築することが必須である.journal articl
The relationship between pitching parameters and release points of different pitch types in major league baseball players
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to deepen our understanding of pitches and to obtain basic knowledge about pitches by comparing 4-seam and other pitches in Major League Baseball (MLB).
Methods: We analyzed big data for 1,820 professional baseball pitchers of MLB on release speed, spin rate, release point 3D coordinates (X, Y, and Z axes), amount of change for 4-seam, and seven changing ball types (sinker, slider, changeup, cutter, curve, split finger, and knuckle curve), using PITCHf/x and TrackMan. We also evaluated three relationships: (1) between the release points and the ball types of pitch; (2) between the amount of change in the ball and the release speed; and (3) between the release speed and the spin rate.
Results: The release speed was significantly slower in seven changing ball types than in the 4-seam (p < 0.01, respectively). The spin rate and the amount of change (ΔX and ΔZ) were significantly different between 4-seam and seven changing ball types (p < 0.01, respectively). Release point 3D coordinates (X, Y, and Z axes) were significantly different between 4-seam and slider, cutter, and curve (p < 0.01, respectively). Based on these findings, the eight pitch types were mainly divided into three groups: 4-seam, curve, and off-speed pitch types.
Conclusion: Seven changing ball types included specific characteristics for each parameter. The correspondence among the release speed, ΔX, and ΔZ at the 3D coordinates is an arch with 4-seam as the apex. Our results suggest an effective strategy for changing the release point and displacement of a ball's trajectory to improve the performance of baseball pitchers.journal articl
Excitation spectra of heavy baryons in a quark-diquark model with relativistic corrections
The excitation spectra of Λ and Λ baryons are investigated by using a quark-diquark model in which a single-heavy baryon is treated as the bound state of a heavy quark and a scalar diquark. We take two types of relativistic corrections into account for the quark-diquark potential. In the first type, we consider the one-gluon exchange between the heavy quark and one of the light quarks in the diquark. In the second, we consider the one-gluon exchange between a scalar particle and a heavy quark. We find that there is a large difference between the two types of corrections due to different treatments of the internal color structure of the diquark. The relativistic corrections are important for the solution to the string tension puzzle, particularly, the Darwin term makes a large contribution.journal articl
First synthesis of acylated nitrocyclopropanes
Although nitrocyclopropanedicarboxylic acid esters are widely used in organic syntheses, nitrocyclopropanes with an acyl group have not yet been synthesized. When adducts of β-nitrostyrene and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds are treated with (diacetoxyiodo)benzene and tetrabutylammonium iodide, iodination occurs at the α-position of the nitro group, and the subsequent O-attack of the enol moiety leads to 2,3-dihydrofuran. Cyclopropane was successfully synthesized through C-attack as the acyl group became bulkier. The obtained nitrocyclopropane was transformed into furan upon treatment with tin(II) chloride via a ring-opening/ring-closure process.journal articl

Creation of Molecular Gel Materials Using Polyrotaxane-Derived Polymeric Organogelator
Molecular gels, which are soft and flexible materials, are candidates for healthcare, cosmetic base, and electronic applications as new materials. In this study, a new polymeric organogelator bearing a polyrotaxane (PR) structure was developed and could induce the gelation of N′,N″-dimethylformamide (DMF), a known solvent for dissolving polymeric materials and salts. Furthermore, the resulting DMF molecular gels exhibited thixotropic properties, observed by the inversion method using vials, which are essential for gel spreading. The scanning electron microscopy of the xerogels suggested that the gel-forming ability and thixotropic property of gels were imparted by the network of the laminated aggregates of thin layer material similar to those of other gels made of clay materials. This thin layer material would be formed by the aggregation of polymeric organogelators. The dynamic viscoelasticity measurements of the obtained gels revealed the stability and pseudo-thixotropic behaviors of the obtained gels, as well as a specific concentration effect on the mechanical behavior of the gels attributed to the introduction of the PR structure. Additionally, the preparation of the polymer organogelator/polymer composites was investigated to improve the mechanical properties via the filler effect induced by the agglomerates of organogelator. Moreover, the tensile tests confirmed that the introduction of the gelator enhanced the mechanical properties of the composites.journal articl
Spectral analysis of the Galactic supernova remnant Kesteven 69 with Suzaku
The results of a Suzaku observation of the supernova remnant (SNR) Kesteven 69 = G21.8−0.6 are presented. To estimate the sky background precisely, we conducted a simultaneous fit of the source region spectrum with the background region spectrum and found that the SNR spectrum is well represented by a two-component ionizing plasma model composed of a low-temperature plasma at kTe = 0.80 ± 0.11 keV and a high-temperature plasma at kTe = 1.5 ± 0.4 keV. The existence of a low-ionized Fe K line at 6.49 ± 0.07 keV was confirmed. The center energy of the line is consistent with those of type Ia SNRs.journal articl
