Closed string vertex operators with various ghost number
We construct closed string vertex operators with various ghost numbers in addition
to the conventional ones, using the Faddeev-Popov procedure for the gauge fixing of the
conformal Killing group, from matter primary fields. We find that these operators give
solutions to the descent equations in the framework of the BRST formalism. Similarly,
we also construct solutions to the descent equations for the dilaton vertex operator with
the Lorentz covariant form. Using the unintegrated vertex operator of the dilaton with
the ghost number three, we obtain the correct result of the tadpole amplitude on the disk,
including a non-zero contribution from a BRST exact term which comes from a conformal
transformation.journal articl
Transient phase change of Ruddlesden-Popper type perovskite on fluoride-ion intercalation reaction
Ruddlesden-Popper type perovskites are recognized as a promising active material for fluoride-ion batteries (FIBs) due to the intercalation of fluoride-ions into the crystal structure. However, the precise reaction mechanism has not been thoroughly elucidated. In this study, we examined the phase transition mechanism of electrochemical F− intercalation into La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7 oxide by several analytical techniques and by comparing the phase transition of chemical F− intercalation into La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7 oxide. The phase transition behavior during F− intercalation into La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7 follows the two stages. In the first stage from x = 0 to x = 1.0 of La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7Fx, the fluorination proceeds in a two-phase reaction between the La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7 phase (space group; I4/mmm) and the La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7F phase (space group; P4/nmm). In this stage, the lattice constant c of the La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7F phase gradually increased with increasing x amount. In the second stage from x = 1.0 to x = 2.0 of La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7Fx, the fluorination proceeds in a two-phase coexistence reaction of the La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7F phase and La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7F2 phase. In the second stage, the lattice constants of the La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7F phase and La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7F2 phase are independent of the x amount of La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7Fx. The apparent diffusion coefficients of fluoride-ions in the first stage are larger than those in the second stage maybe because the lattice mismatch between the two phases is reduced by the gradual change in the lattice constant of the La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7F phase in the first stage. This finding is useful for understanding the reaction mechanism of intercalation-type cathode materials for FIBs and improving the electrochemical performances.journal articl
Influence of scene aspect ratio and depth cues on verticality perception bias
Perceiving verticality is crucial for accurate spatial orientation. Previous research has revealed that tilted scenes can bias verticality perception. Verticality perception bias can be represented as the sum of multiple periodic functions that play a role in the perception of visual orientation, where the specific factors affecting each periodicity remain uncertain. This study investigated the influence of the width and depth of an indoor scene on each periodic component of the bias. The participants were presented with an indoor scene showing a rectangular checkerboard room (Experiment 1), a rectangular aperture on the wall (Experiment 2), or a rectangular dotted room (Experiment 3), with various aspect ratios. The stimuli were presented with roll orientations ranging from 90° clockwise to 90° counterclockwise. The participants were asked to report their subjective visual vertical (SVV) perceptions. The contributions of 45°, 90°, and 180° periodicities to the SVV error were assessed by the weighted vector sum model. In Experiment 1, the periodic components of the SVV error increased with the aspect ratio. In Experiments 2 and 3, only the 90° component increased with the aspect ratio. These findings suggest that extended transverse surfaces may modulate the periodic components of verticality perception.journal articl
ガラス基板上への低抵抗・密着性Cu層の化学的形成
A metallic Cu layer was fabricated on a glass substrate using chemical bath deposition of Cu(OH)2/Cu(O,S)bilayer in aqueous solutions containing copper(II)nitrate hydrate, ammonium nitrate, and thiourea or urea, followed by chemical reduction in a sodium borohydride solution. The Cu layer possessed resistance of 0.68 Ω/□ and maximum peeling strength of 13.4 N/cm.journal articl
Prediction Errors of Macroeconomic Indicators and Economic Shocks for ASEAN Member States, 1990-2021
We analyze how six ASEAN Member States (AMS) - Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam - are affected by economic shocks represented by global, domestic, and uncertainty shocks. We collect macroeconomic indicators for 1990-2021 and calculate macroeconomic shocks based on the prediction errors of real GDP growth rates. We reveal that these macroeconomic shocks of AMS are synchronized particularly with the world for the most part of the sample period. Then, our main finding obtained from the regression analysis is that these countries’ economic shocks are associated with global shocks, country-specific domestic shocks, and in some countries, uncertainty. We also review the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on AMS based on the above-mentioned regression analysis.journal articl
