Kindergarten Cupboard as a Puppet Theatre
The topic of this final paper is puppetry in the kindergarten closet. Through my work, I will introduce the concept of puppetry, the basics of puppetry, stage puppets and types of stage puppets. Puppetry in kindergarten is an important element of children's play, but also the work of educators. The use of a stage puppet in a kindergarten depends on the educator. There are as many educators as there are ways to use a puppet in educational work with children. With a stage puppet we encouragechildren’s learning, development of creativity, speech, empathy, socialization. A puppet can be an educator’s assistant. Kindergarten's weekly curriculum can expand puppetry and offer children the freedom to express themselves creatively. The role of puppetry in a child’s learning is positive on multiple ways. The educator must understand the importance of introducing the puppet to work with children and dedicate puppetry to children. The stimulating, diverse and well-structured environment of the kindergarten requires educators to add and enrich activity centers. In the ideal conditions of the educational group, the educator has a "closet" in which all the props necessary for the child's puppet play are stored: puppets, a cover, unshaped materials, etc.. The task of the educator is to use the puppet and to suggest it to the children. In this way, the educator nurtures a different relationship to the stage puppet and the toy puppet along with the educator-puppet relationship and the child-puppet relationship
Applicability of Kant's philosophy of education to work with children with special needs in preschool institutions
Djeca su svakome roditelju najbitnija zanimacija i najveća ljubav. Children are every parent's most important occupation and their greatest love. Every person was once a child at the beginning of it's existence. After becoming adults, people often mention how wonderful and carefree everything was for them when they were still children. Every child requires maximum care, love, attention and understanding. The reason why preschool institutions exist is precisely to provide children with everything mentioned above and to prepare and make them aware of a higher stage of upbringing and education. Children are living beings and every living being is different, so this thesis in particular is dedicated specifically to children with special needs. There are different ways of raising children. The final work is based on Kant's method of raising children with special needs. An authoritative method of raising a child that teaches the child how to consciously think about its actions and develops situational awareness. The child is rewarded when it acts correctly and morally acceptable and is also not punished if it acts wrongly, but is given an explanation of where it made a mistake and indicates how it should act differently next time. The final work contains a research in which it shows the applicability of Kant's method of raising a child with special needs. In a shorter period of five days, the child manages to change the way it acts in certain situations, which results in the improvement of the child's psyche and socialization with other members of the preschool institution. The goal was to show the impact of Kant's method on a child with autism and ADHD. The problem was manifested at the very beginning of the research, where it seemed as if the child would not immediately adapt to the new approach of the educator, but after this, in the middle of the research, the child got so used to and adapted to such an approach that in the end, without too much influence from the educator, it behaved in a way that was expected and that was an assumption from the beginning. The beginning of the work introduces us to the autobiography of Immanuel Kant and the very terminology of the terms kindergarten and children with special needs. In the last part of the paper, research conducted on a child with special needs using Kant's method is presented. The research was conducted successfully and in the end successful completion of the research contributed not only to the improvement of the child's functions, but also to the improvement of the educator's way of working with children with special needs
Phrasemes in the Novel Uzbuna na Zelenom Vrhu (Alert on Green Peak) by Ivan Kušan
Phraseology is a linguistic discipline that studies phrasemes. The study of phrasemes is a relatively young discipline, which is why it is interesting for research. Phrasemes are basic units in phraseology, an integral part of everyday life as well as written text. Phrasemes are reproduced in a finished form, have a constant order of components and fit into a sentence. The classification of the phrasemes is determined according to the syntactic structure, according to time-regional determinations and the strength of the structure. The theoretical settings of phrasemes will be used in the analysis of phrasemes from the novel Alarm on the Green Top, author Ivan Kušan (1933 – 2012), who is considered the originator of the modern and contemporary, urban children's novel. The first novel that contains modern, contemporary elements is the novel Alarm on the Green Top (1956). The novel describes the adventures of young boys who are trying to catch thieves that are robbing a suburban settlement. The goal of the research was to observe and analyze phrasemes in the novel Alarm on the Green Top. After the analysis, a large number of phrasemes was observed in the novel
Volleyball Elements in Lower Primary Instruction
Nowadays volleyball is a well-known sport whose rules of the game have changed significantly over the years. Therefore, today we can see different play systems which have been adapted to all ages including children. By changing the rules of the game, volleyball became a faster, more demanding, and more intelligent game, which is more interesting for spectators, and especially for players. For primary school students from first to fourth grade, play is an indispensable part of everyday life, so there are certainly ways in which volleyball can be implemented in Physical Education. Numerous studies have shown that volleyball influences the development of anthropological skills, especially motor skills. The aim of the research is to investigate the existing elements of volleyball and to investigate how new elements can be implemented in the syllabus of Physical Education. The analysis of the Curriculum has indicated that only one topic related to volleyball is included in the curriculum. In this paper, we present several exercises for the adoption of the elements of volleyball
Measles as a Public Health Problem
Measles is considered one of the most contagious viral diseases and as a highly infectious, acute disease accompanied by fever, catarrhal respiratory symptoms, skin changes (maculopapular rash), and enanthema Koplik's spots which are localized on the buccal mucosa. The cause of measles is the virus morbilli, which belongs to the group of paramyxoviruses. The measles virus is transmitted by droplets and incubation lasts from 10 to 12 days. The diagnosis of measles is made using the clinical picture of a typical form of the disease and by monitoring the course of the disease. Treatment of measles includes the so-called symptomatic treatment because there is no specific antibiotic against measles. Complications of measles can be respiratory, bacterial inflammations and neurological complications. Measles can be prevented by active and passive immunization. Active immunization involves vaccination against measles, and passive immunization involves the use of gamma-globulin in unvaccinated people who have been in contact with an infected person. Mandatory vaccination against measles was introduced in 1968 in Croatia. Active use of the vaccine has reduced the number of reported cases of measles and deaths globally. Although measles is mainly a childhood contagious disease, there is an increasing number of cases of adult infection in Croatia who have either not been vaccinated or have already weakened their already acquired immunity (by vaccination). In conclusion, the last decade has been marked by the anti-vaccination movement, i.e. opponents of vaccination, and an increasing number of parents who deny the effectiveness of the vaccine and thus endanger the lives of their children. The safety and effectiveness of the vaccine has been determined by numerous studies, but also by results, reducing the number of infected persons and mortality. The eradication of contagious measles disease requires the cooperation of all members of the community and the openness and mutual exchange of information between health professionals and patients
Usability of Didactically Unformed Materials in the Implementation of Art Activities
Diplomski rad Iskoristivost didaktički neoblikovanih materijala u provedbi likovnih aktivnosti teorijski objašnjava važnost igre i igračaka u djetetovu razvoju. Thesis The usability of didactically unformed materials in the implementation of art activities theoretically explains the importance of games and toys in a child’s development. It lists the criteria and categories of toys. The goals and tasks of art education are explained and great emphasis is placed on creativity and its development. Methods and principles in visual and art education are described, as well as art elements and compositional principles. An online survey was conducted in which it was determined that most of the surveyed primary school theachers use didactically unshaped materials in their work and that they see great advantages in them. The aim of this research is to determine the feasibility of a model of the city, roads and vehicles as a means of teaching traffic rules and urban planning rules. Through an art workshop, the students made vehicles, models and road from didactically unshaped material and confirmed that by making such things on their own, they can learn the rules of the road
Persons with Disabilities: Postmodernism and Contemporary Cinematic Art
The paper defines disability and presents the image of people with disabilities in the context of discrimination and/or stigmatization to which such people are often exposed. The presented laws are important for people with disabilities, which aim to improve their quality of life. The theoretical framework of the paper consists of two main models of rehabilitation, the development of disability through history and taboo topics related to the life of people with disabilities. The paper presents twelve films in which the main characters are people with some form of disability. The analysis of the films provided an insight into the representation of different types of disabilities possessed by the main characters and the predominant gender among them. In addition, the question of whether the main actors in the films have some form of disability in real life is answered. By analysing the films in the paper, a conclusion was reached about the importance of portraying the lives of people with disabilities in contemporary popular culture, with an emphasis on mainstream and alternative films, which aims to prevent their discrimination and stigmatization
Health Care of the Newborn
Svojim sastavom najbolje odgovara djetetovim potrebama, a sadrži i imunoprotektivne tvari. With the arrival of a child in the family, life changes for all other members. Pregnancy and childbirth can be stressful and there are many complications that can accompany them, but after that comes the most wonderful time for new parents. During the first 4 weeks of life, the newborn establishes the first contacts with the mother and gets used to life outside the mother's womb and the new environment. There are many signs that tell parents and medical staff whether a child is developing properly. Some of these characteristics are head circumference, heart rate, body weight and length. Sometimes it happens that a child is born too early or too late, and such children need special observation. Before a newborn comes home, parents must provide an environment that is conducive to it. This means choosing the right crib, bathing accessories and clothes, and certainly knowing how to take care of the child with an emphasis on the care of the navel and umbilical wound. After the fourth week of life, the term "infant" is used for the child. For the proper growth and development of the infant, the best choice is mother's milk. Its composition best suits the child's needs, and it also contains immunoprotective substances. On the market, you can find various artificial nutrition that replaces mother's milk if, for any reason, the mother does not breastfeed the child. A baby grows and develops quickly, so it needs a lot of energy. Already around the fourth month of life, supplementary feeding is introduced, starting with fruit juices and porridges. The curiosity of children at this age can sometimes lead to various injuries. Some of the most common are burns, cuts, poisoning, sprains, eye injuries and suffocation. It is important to know how to recognize the symptoms, calm the child down and help him until the ambulance arrives, if it is a major injury. In order to prevent injuries and frequent illnesses in infants, there are preventive measures that strengthen children's immunity. Some of them are sufficient quality sleep, walks and vaccinations. Of course, some diseases cannot be prevented and sometimes children have to stay in the hospital for treatment. Then it is important that the children's department of the hospital fulfills all the prescribed conditions for a child of a certain age and creates a sense of security for the child
Down Syndrome as a Public Health Problem
This paper aims to present Down's syndrome as a public health problem and to describe and explain trisomy 21 and the conditions and difficulties associated with it. It is explained what Down syndrome is and how it was discovered, prenatal diagnostics, difficulties of children with Down syndrome and health problems. Possible problems and challenges that we may encounter in working with children with Down syndrome are described. The aim of this paper is also to describe the inclusion of children with Down syndrome in the educational system. Down's syndrome is a condition that we encounter more and more, while in addition to children, we also encounter their parents to whom we need to provide support and help, since some of them have not yet passed the stage of acceptance. Some parents still have difficulties in functioning and adapting to their children, therefore we take on a role and provide support to parents, and children a warm, safe, comfortable space where they are included in all activities and do not feel rejected or different and are equal members of their educational groups. But it should be noted that children with Down syndrome are very cheerful, warm, playful and open, and our task is to encourage their development in every sense
Tennis Elements as Part of Physical Exercise in Preschool Children
The development of tennis as a professional sport, also leads to the development of methods and approaches that will make tennis an easier and more fun sport to teach, especially when it comes to teaching kindergarten and preschool children. This paper presents the plan and program of eight hours of tennis, in which the elements of tennis are implemented. By implementing the plan and program, number of children who use tennis facilities would be increased, which would also promote the Croatian preschool system, and the program would significantly affect the improvement of their health and psychosocial status and would ensure more children the opportunity to learn play tennis
