Study of the response of the membrane based on FePO4 : Ag2S : PTFE = 1 : 2 : 3 and FePO4 : Ag2S : PTFE = 1 : 3 : 4 at pH = 1 : bachelor thesis
Provedeno je testiranje membranskih elektroda napravljenih od mješavine željezovog(III) fosfata i srebrovog sulfida uz dodatak teflona koji je odgovoran za kompaktnost. Opisano je testiranje dvije prethodno napravljene membrane u otopini željezovog(III) klorida, te ispitivanje odziva na željezove(III) katione potenciometrijskom metodom, kojoj je prednost jednostavnost i niska cijena. Testiranje se provodi u kiselom području pri pH=1. Osnovni cilj bio je testirati membrane zadanih sastava i donošenje zaključka o mogućnosti praktične primjene takvih membrana. Odziv na željezove(III) katione ispituje se kod membrana sljedećeg sastava: • Membrana 1 : FePO 4 : Ag 2 S : PTFE = 1 : 2 : 3 • Membrana 2 : FePO 4 : Ag 2 S : PTFE = 1 : 3 : 4 Membrane su ispitane na odziv na željezove(III) katione u elektrokemijskoj ćeliji koristeći otopinu željezovog(III) klorida metodom slijednog razrjeđivanja puferom sumporne kiseline pH vrijednosti 1. Dobivene vrijednosti odziva zatim su grafički obrađene.The testing has been carried out of membrane electrodes made of mixture of ferric phosphate and silver sulfide with the addition of polytetrafluoroethylene which is responsible for compactness. Testing of two pre-made membranes in the solution of iron(III) chloride, and testing the response to iron(III) cations by potenciometric method, which has advantage of simplicity and low cost. Testings are carried out in the acidic region at pH=1. The main goal was to test membrane electrodes of the given composition and to reach a conclusion on the practical application of such membranes. The response to iron(III) cations is tested for membranes of the following composition: • Membrane 1 : FePO 4 : Ag 2 S : PTFE = 1 : 2 : 3 • Membrane 2 : FePO 4 : Ag 2 S : PTFE = 1 : 3 : 4 The membranes were tested for response to ferric cations in electrochemical cell using a solution of ferric chloride by sequental dilution method with sulfuric acid pufer.The resulting response values were graphically analyzed
Analysis of the water streams in cellulose and paper production : bachelor thesis
U radu je izvedena analiza tokova vode u različitim postrojenjima za proizvodnju celuloze, papira i kartona. Utvrđeno je da ova postrojenja imaju iznimno veliku potrošnju vode, čak i do 40 000 m 3 na dan uz iznimno visoka opterećenja suspendiranim tvarima (do 5 000 mg/dm 3 ), KPK vrijednosti (do 2 000 mg/dm 3 ) i BPK 5 vrijednosti (do 700 mg/dm 3 ). Obrada ovakvih voda je nužna prije ispusta u sustav javne odvodnje, a posebice prilikom ispusta u površinske vode. Primjenom procesa pročišćavanja primarnim taloženjem, koagulacijom, flokulacijom, flotacijom i sekundarnom obradom moguće je ovakve vode pročistiti do zakonom propisanih vrijednosti. Značajno manja količina vode se koristi u proizvodnji kartona što ukazuje na potrebu prikupljanja i recikliranja otpadnog papira, čime se znatno smanjuje upotreba svježe vode, korištenje kemikalija i osigurava zaštita okoliša. Analizom rezultata kakvoće obrađene otpadne vode tvornice kartona utvrđeno je da dobivene vrijednosti prelaze one propisane zakonom. Pokazatelji kakvoće otpadne vode iz tvornice celuloze i papira pokazuju da se ovakve vode mogu ispustiti u sustav javne odvodnje.The analysis of the water streams in different plants for cellulose, paper and cardboard production has been examined. These plants have extremely high water consumption, even up to 40 000 m 3 per day with extremely high loads of suspended solids (up to 5 000 mg/dm 3 ), COD values (up to 2 000 mg/dm 3 ) and BOD 5 values (up to 700 mg/dm 3 ). The wastewater treatment of these streams is obligatory before their discharge into the sewage systems, particularly in case of discharge into the surface water streams. Treatments with the primary sedimentation, coagulation, flocculation, flotation and secondary treatment, are suitable for achieving parameters subscribed by law. Significantly less water consumption is needed in the cardboard production, which indicates the need for collecting and recycling paper waste which would significantly reduce the use of fresh water and chemicals, as well as ensure environmental protection. The analysis of the quality of treated wastewater from cardboard production shows that the obtained values exceed those prescribed by the law. Indicators of the quality of wastewater from cellulose and paper production show that such water can be discharged into the public sewage system
Potentionetric determination of biologically active compounds with carbon paste electrodes - review : bachelor thesis
Ionsko-selektivne elektrode pokazuju selektivan odziv na određenu vrstu iona u otopini. Elektrode na bazi ugljikove paste (CPE) su jedan od primjera tih elektroda. Mnogi znanstveni radovi opisuju razne CPE te rezultate njihovih mjerenja. U ovom radu dat je pregled CPE, njihove priprave, osnovnih karakteristika te praktične primjene. Potenciometrija s CPE se pokazala jednako dobra ili bolja od konvencionalnih metoda mjerenja- jeftinija je, jednostavnija, brža i nižeg praga detekcije. U praksi se koristi u kulometriji, voltmetriji, amperometriji i potenciometriji u farmaceutskim ispitivanjima, za mjerenje štetnih metala u uzorcima vode, kao biosenzor glukoze, za mjerenje tumorskih markera i kolesterola u krvi, detekciju mikroorganizama...Ion-selective electrodes show a selective response to a particular type of ion in solution. Carbon paste electrodes (CPE) are an example of these electrodes. Many scientific papers describe various CPEs and the results of their measurements. This paper provides an overview of CPEs, their preparation, basic characteristics and practical application. Potentiometry with CPE has proven to be just as good or better than conventional measurement methods - it is cheaper, simpler, faster and has a lower detection threshold. In practice, it is used in coulometry, voltmetry, amperometry and potentiometry in pharmaceutical tests, measuring harmful metals in water samples, as a glucose biosensor, for measuring tumor markers and cholesterol in the blood, detection of microorganisms..
Corrosion behavior of Cu and CuAl alloy in 0,5 mol dm-3 NaCl solution without and in the presence of Na2SO4 : diploma thesis
Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati korozijsko ponašanje 99,9% Cu i legure CuAl u 0,5 mol dm -3 NaCl otopini bez i u prisustvu 0,1 i 0,3 mol dm -3 Na 2 SO 4 , pri T = 20 o C i pH ≈ 7,0. Pri tome su korištene elektrokemijske metode mjerenja kao što su mjerenje potencijala otvorenog strujnog kruga, metoda linearne i potenciodinamičke polarizacije. Nakon polarizacijskih mjerenja površina elektroda ispitana je optičkim mikroskopom. Rezultati ispitivanja su pokazali da prisustvo sulfatnih iona u 0,5 mol dm -3 NaCl otopini značajnije ne utječe na potencijal otvorenog strujnog kruga Cu i CuAl elektrode, pri čemu Cu elektroda pokazuje nešto pozitivniji potencijal u odnosu na CuAl elektrodu. Povećanjem koncentracije sulfatnih iona u NaCl otopini dolazi do porasta vrijednosti polarizacijskog otpora kao i smanjenja vrijednosti gustoće korozijskih struja. Međutim pri pozitivnijim anodnim potencijalima, anodne gustoće struje veće su u prisustvu sulfatnih iona za Cu i CuAl leguru. Ispitivanjem elektroda svjetlosnim mikroskopom nakon polarizacijskih mjerenja utvrđena je opća korozija uz prisustvo površinskih korozijskih produkata pri većim koncentracijama sulfatnih iona.The aim of this study was to examine the corrosion behavior of 99.9% Cu and CuAl alloy in 0.5 mol dm -3 NaCl solution without and in the presence of 0.1 and 0.3 mol dm -3 Na 2 SO 4 , at T = 20 o C and pH ≈ 7.0. For this purpose electrochemical methods such as measuring the potential of an open circuit, linear and potentiodynamic polarization were used. After polarization measurements, the electrode surfaces were examined with an optical microscope. The results showed that the presence of sulfate ions in 0.5 mol dm -3 NaCl solution did not significantly affect the open circuit potential of the Cu and CuAl electrode, and the Cu electrode showed a slightly more positive potential compared to the CuAl electrode. Increasing the concentration of sulfate ions in the NaCl solution leads to an increase in the value of the polarization resistance as well as a decrease in the value of the corrosion current density. However, at more positive anodic potentials, the anodic current densities are higher in the presence of sulfate ions for Cu and CuAl alloys. Examination of the electrodes by light microscopy after polarization measurements revealed general corrosion and the presence of surface corrosion products at higher concentrations of sulfate ions
Electrochemical characterization of antioxidants on modified electrodes - review of the achievements : bachelor thesis
Brojna istraživanja pokazuju kako je oksidativni stres stanje u kojem koncentracija antioksidansa u organizmu nije dovoljna za održavanje ravnoteže sa slobodnim radikalima. Konzumacija namirnica bogatih tvarima s antioksidacijskim djelovanjem imaju izrazito povoljan utjecaj na zdravlje čovjeka. Uloga antioksidansa je spriječiti štetne oksidacijske procese slobodnih radikala. Unošenjem različitih biljnih vrsta (voća, povrća, osobito začinskoga bilja...) sprječavamo reakcije koje mogu dovesti do mnogih degenerativnih promjena u stanicama čovjeka, te narušiti ljudsko zdravlje. Interes za primjenu različitih elektrokemijskih metoda u posljednjem desetljeću naišao je na veliki interes u znanstvenim krugovima. Cilj ovog završnog rada je pokazati potencijal elektrokemijskih metoda kao jednostavnih, brzih, pouzdanih, osjetljivih i preciznih metoda za određivanje ukupnog antioksidacijskog kapaciteta namirnica, koja bi bila pogodna za rutinske analize hrane kako u istraživačkim laboratorijima tako i u industriji, te sumirati dosadašnja postignuća u njihovoj primjeni.Numerous studies show that oxidative stress is a state in which the concentration of antioxidants in the body is not sufficient to maintain the balance with free radicals. The consumption of food rich in substances with antioxidant effects has a very positive effect on human health. The role of antioxidants is to prevent harmful oxidative processes of free radicals. By ingesting different types of plants (fruits, vegetables, especially herbs...) we prevent reactions that lead to many degenerative changes in human cells and can affect human health. The interest in the use of various electrochemical methods has been met with great interest in scientific circles over the last decade. The aim of this thesis is to demonstrate the potential of electrochemical methods as simple, fast, reliable, sensitive and precise methods for determining the total antioxidant capacity of food, which would be suitable for routine analysis of food in research laboratories and industry, and to summarize the successes achieved so far in their application
Chemical and biological profile of selected plant species used in traditional BiH medicine : doctoral thesis
U usporedbi sa zemljama Centralne i Zapadne Europe, tradicionalna medicina Bosne i Hercegovine je većinom neistražena. Cilj ovoga doktorskog rada bio je odrediti fitokemijski i biološki profil četiri biljne vrste iz porodice Lamiaceae; Mentha pulegium L., Teucrium montanum L., Satureja subspicata L. i Clinopodium vulgare L., koje su karakteristične i nedovoljno istražene ljekovite biljne vrste za područje BiH. Fitokemijski profil je odreĎen kroz kemijski sastav izoliranih eteričnih ulja te vodenih i metanolnih ekstrakata. Analiza eteričnih ulja provedena je vezanim sustavom GC/MS, dok je analiza ekstrakata provedena veznim sustavom HPLC/DAD. Eterična ulja M. pulegium i T. montanum, u usporedbi s uljima istih biljaka s drugih područja, pokazuju sličan sastav s razlikom u udjelu glavnih komponenti, dok ulja S. subspicata i C. vulgare pokazuju veću varijabilnost u sastavu i sadržaju. Vodene i metanolne ekstrakte karakterizira visok sadržaj fenola i flavonoida, s ružmarinskom kiselinom, kao dominantnom komponentom. Izuzetak su ekstrakti T. montanum, s p-kumarinskom kiselinom kao dominantnom komponentom. Eterična ulja pokazuju slab antioksidacijski potencijal i umjerenu sposobnost inhibicije enzima AChE i BChE. Ispitivani ekstrakti pokazuju dobar antioksidacijski potencijal. Vodeni ekstrakti pokazuju vrlo dobre, a metanolni ekstrakti dobre rezultate u zaštiti lipida od oksidacije. U pogledu zaštite proteina od oksidacije svi ekstrakti pokazuju prooksidacijsko djelovanje. Ispitivani ekstrakti pokazuju slabu sposobnost inhibicije AChE. Slabu sposobnost inhibicije BChE pokazuju samo metanolni ekstrakt S. subspicata te vodeni ekstrakti M. pulegium i T. montanum.Unlike the countries of Central and Western Europe, the traditional medicine of Bosnia and Herzegovina is mostly unexplored. The aim of this work was to determine the phytochemical and biological profile of four plant species from the Lamiaceae family; Mentha pulegium L., Teucrium montanum L., Satureja subspicata L. and Clinopodium vulgare L., which are characteristic and insufficiently researched healing plant species in the area of BiH. The phytochemical profile is determined through the chemical composition of isolated essential oils, water and methanolic extracts. Essential oils analyses were performed by GC/MS, while extracts analyses were performed by HPLC/DAD. The M. pulegium and T. montanum essential oils, compared to the oils of the same plants from other regions, show a similar chemical composition with the difference in the proportion of the main components, while the S. subspicata and C. vulgare essential oils show greater variability in chemical composition and content. Water and methanol extracts are characterized by the high phenol and flavonoid content, with rosemary acid as the major compound, except for T. montanum extracts, where the dominant component is p-coumaric acid. Essential oils show low antioxidative potential and moderate inhibitory potential on AChE and BChE. Tested extracts show a good antioxidant potential. Water extracts show very good, while methanolic extracts show good potential in lipid protection against oxidation. In the sense of protein protection against oxidation, all extracts show prooxidant activity. The tested extracts show low inhibitory potential on AChE. Only the S. subspicata methanolic extract and the M. pulegium and T. montanum water extracts show the low inhibitory potential on BChE
Obtaining liquid organic fertilizer by fermentation of nettle (Urtica dioica L.) and chamomile (Chamomilla recutita L. Rauschert) : bachelor thesis
U ovom radu je izvršena priprava tekućeg organskog gnojiva tijekom 17 dana kroz dvije serije uzoraka. Za fermentaciju su korišteni suhi mljeveni korijen koprive i suhi cvjetovi kamilice. Uzorci su pripremljeni otapanjem 20 g suhog bilja u 1 L vode i to u dvije serije: otapanjem u tehnološki pripremljenoj demineraliziranoj vodi s pH = 7 i σ = 0,83 μS cm-1 i u vodi odstajaloj 48 h na sobnoj temperaturi s pH = 7,18 i σ = 374 μS cm-1. Tijekom fermentacije provedene u temperaturnom rasponu okoline 4 – 15 °C, ispitivane su promjene pH vrijednosti, ukupne otopljene tvari (otopljenih soli), kao i električne vodljivosti uzoraka. Dobiveni rezultati pokazuju promjenu pH vrijednosti kod fermentacije uzoraka u odstajaloj vodi čije su vrijednosti blizu optimalnim vrijednostima (5,00 – 5,50) potrebnim za primjenu tekućeg organskog gnojiva. Uočava se i oslobađanje veće količine ukupne otopljene tvari u takvim uzorcima, a izmjerene su i više vrijednosti električne vodljivosti. Nakon skladištenja u trajanju od 120 dana na uzorcima pripravljenim u tehnološki demineraliziranoj vodi uočene su promjene pH vrijednosti, električne vodljivosti i sadržaja ukupne otopljene tvari, kao i promjene boje i mirisa čime je narušena kemijska stabilnost i postojanost. Kod uzoraka pripravljenih u odstajaloj vodi uočene se minimalne promjene pH vrijednosti, električne vodljivosti i sadržaja ukupne otopljene tvari, ali nije bilo promjene u boji i mirisu čime nije narušena kemijska postojanost i stabilnost.In this experiment, the preparation of liquid organic fertilizer was performed for 17 days through two series of samples. For the fermentation process the dry root of nettle and dry camomile flowers were used. The samples were prepared by dissolving 20 g of dry plants in 1 L of water, in two series: in technologically prepared demineralised water with pH = 7 and σ = 0.83 μS cm-1 and tapwater (left 48 h at room temperature) with pH = 7.18 and σ = 374 μS cm-1. During the fermentation period of 17 days and the temperature range of 4 – 15 °C, changes in pH, concentration of total dissolved solids and electrical conductivity of the samples were measured. The results obtained show a change in the pH values of the fermented samples in the distilled water which values are close to the optimal values (5.00 – 5.50) required for the application of liquid organic fertilizers. The release of a larger amount of the total dissolved solids in such samples was also observed and higher values of electrical conductivity were measured. After 120 days of storage samples prepared in technologically demineralised water, changed values of pH, conductivity and the total dissolved solids as well as in colour, and odour thus deteriorating chemical stability and immutability. The samples prepared in the decaying water showed slight changes in pH, conductivity and the total dissolved solids while there was no changes in colour and odour thus not impairing chemical stability and immutability
The effect of watering shallot with heavy metal solutions (Pb, Ni, Cu) on the ph values of soil : bachelor thesis
U ovom završnom radu su određene pH vrijednosti tla u kojem je uzgajana biljka vlasac zalijevanjem vodenim otopinama teškog metala: nikla, bakra i olova. Biljka je zalijevana u vremenskom periodu od mjesec dana. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata uočena je promjena pH vrijednosti tla u odnosu na pH vrijednost tla gdje je biljka tretirana samo vodovodnom vodom. Najveći utjecaj otopine teškog metala je uočen kod zalijevanja biljke vodenom otopinom bakrovog(II) sulfata pentahidrata gdje se pH vrijednost toliko smanjila da se to tlo svrstava u kategoriju umjereno kiselih tla (pH=6,05). Sukladno tome, došlo je i do ubrzanog propadanja biljke.In this bachelor thesis, the pH values of the soils in which the herb plant shallot was cultivated by watering with the heavy metal aqueous solutions of nickel, copper and lead was determined. The plant was watered over a period of one month. Based on the results obtained, the pH value of the soil was changed in relation to the pH value of the soil where the plant was treated with water only. The most important influence of heavy metal solution was observed when watering the plant with an aqueous solution of copper (II) sulphate pentahydrate where the pH value was so much reduced that the soil was placed in the category of moderately acidic soils (pH=6.05). Accordingly, there was an accelerated decay of the plant
Effect of impeller type on ion exchange in baffled and unbaffled batch reactor : diploma thesis
Mehanička operacija miješanja djeluje vrlo jednostavno, ali utjecaj mnogobrojnih hidrodinamičkih uvjeta na procese koji se odvijaju unutar reaktorskog prostora potrebno je detaljno istražiti. U ovom diplomskom radu ispitan je utjecaj tipa miješala na ionsku izmjenu bakra na zeolitu NaX. Ispitivanja su provedena u reaktoru s razbijalima virova kao i u reaktoru bez razbijala virova kako bi se dobio uvid na sveukupni utjecaj stvorenih hidrodinamičkih uvjeta na već spomenuti proces ionske izmjene. Eksperimenti su izvedeni pojedinačnom primjenom triju miješala: turbinskog miješala s ravnim lopaticama (SBT), turbinskog miješala s lopaticama nagnutim pod kutom od 45° (PBT) i turbinskog miješala s diskom i ravnim lopaticama (Rushtonova turbina, RT). Ispitivanja su provedena sa česticama zeolita promjera d p <0,050mm, a početna koncentracija otopine bakrova(II) nitrata bila je 7,04 mmol L -1 . U cilju dobivanja boljeg uvida u utjecaj ispitivanih parametara određena je minimalna brzina vrtnje miješala potrebna za postizanje stanja potpune suspenzije (N JS ) primjenom Zwieteringovog vizualnog kriterija „1s“, kao i utrošak snage miješala (P JS ). Dobiveni rezultati pokazali su da se prilikom rada u reaktoru s pregradama troši više energije na cjelokupan proces. Iz rezultata ispitivanja utjecaja hidrodinamičkih uvjeta stvorenih SBT, PBT i RT miješalom u reaktoru sa ili bez razbijala virova, može se zaključiti da je proces ionske izmjene općenito brži u reaktoru s razbijalima virova. U isto vrijeme vrijednosti N JS i utroška snage miješala (P JS ) također su veće u reaktoru s razbijalima virova. Provedena je i kinetička analiza procesa kojom se pokazalo da količina izmijenjenog bakra u početnoj fazi eksperimenta naglo raste nakon čega dolazi do uspostave ravnoteže. Dobiveni rezultati obrađeni su metodom nelinearne i linearne regresije korištenjem Ritchievog i Weber-Morrisovog modela i statističkim pokazateljem ocjenjeno je njihovo slaganje s eksperimentalnim podacima. Pokazalo se da brzina kemijske reakcije ovisi o tipu miješala i da je općenito veća u reaktoru s razbijalima virova u odnosu na reaktor bez razbijala virova. Brzina reakcije je najveća kada se koristi RT miješalo u reaktoru s pregradama, a najsporija kod RT miješala u reaktoru bez pregrada.Mixing, as mechanical operation, appears like very simple unit operation, but effects of many hydrodynamic conditions on processes inside of reactor need to be examined in detail. In this work the influence of impeller type on ion exchange of copper on zeolite NaX has been investigated. In order to get a better insight into the effect of hydrodynamic conditions on ion exchange, experiments were conducted in the baffled and unbaffled batch reactor at standard impeller off-bottom clearance (C/H=0,33). Three impeller types were used- straight blade turbine (SBT) which produced radial flow, pitch blade turbine (PBT) that produced dominantly axial flow and Rushton turbine (RT) which also produced radial flow. To avoid the effect of intraparticle diffusion, in all experiments the same zeolite particle size (d p <0,050mm) was used, as well as the same initial concentration of copper solution (c 0 =7,04 mmol/L). In order to get a better insight into the effects of the investigated parameters the minimum impeller speed for complete suspension (N JS ), using visual Zwietering criterion “1s”, and power consumption (P JS ) were found. Results have shown that power consumption (P JS ) is generally higher in baffled batch reactor. From the results of the study of influence of the hydrodynamic conditions generated by SBT, PBT and RT impeller in the reactor with or without baffles, it can be concluded that the difference in maximum amount of exchange is not significant and that the reaction, in generally, is faster in the baffled reactor. But, at the same time, N JS and P JS in a baffled reactor were higher as well. Also, kinetic analysis of the process was conducted, and results have shown that the amount of copper exchanged, at examined conditions, in the initial phase of the experiment was increasing rapidly until equilibrium has been established. The obtained results were processed by the nonlinear and linear analysis using Ritchie and Weber-Morris model. Results have shown that chemical reaction rate depends on the impeller type and that generally is higher in baffled reactor. The reaction rate was the highest using RT impeller in baffled batch reactor, and the lowest using RT impeller in unbaffled batch reactor
Glucosinolate profile of diplotaxis tenuifolia (L.) DC. and matthiola incana (L.) R.BR. and their microwave-assisted degradation : diploma thesis
Glukozinolati, β-tioglukozidni-N-hidroksisulfati s varijabilnim bočnim lancem su sekundarni metaboliti koji se sintetiziraju iz aminokiselina. Pronađeni su u 16 porodica reda Capparales. Ovim spojevima posebno obiluju biljke porodice Brassicaceae kojoj pripada većina biljaka iz svakodnevne prehrane kao što su brokula, kupus, cvjetača, repa, rotkvica i druge. Ovi spojevi su kemijski stabilni i biološki neaktivni. Oštećenjem tkiva dolazi do kontakta između enzima mirozinaze i glukozinolata što vodi ka njihovoj hidrolizi čime nastaje niz različitih biološki aktivnih razgradnih produkata. U ovom diplomskom radu istražene su dvije biljne vrste uskolisni dvoredac (Diplotaxis tenuifolia (L.) DC.) i sivkasta ljubičina (Matthiola incana (L.) R.Br.). Cilj rada bio je istražiti glukozinolatni profil u različitim dijelovima biljaka D. tenuifolia i M. incana. Glukozinolati su identificirani GC-MS analizom njihovih razgradnih produkata te HPLC-DAD-MS/MS analizom desulfatiziranih glukozinolata. Isti su kvantificirani u različitim dijelovima biljaka prema službenoj ISO 9167-1 metodi koja se zasniva na HPLC analizi desulfoglukozinolata. U svim biljnim dijelovima D. tenuifolia (sjeme, list, stabljika, cvijet) identificirana su dva glukozinolata glukoerucin (5,62-15,85 μmol/g) i glukorafanin (0,63-2,83μmol/g). U svim biljnim dijelovima M. incana (komuška, list, stabljika, cvijet) su identificirani glukorafenin (1,53-21,03 μmol/g) i glukorafanin (tr-0,08 μmol/g), dok je u cvijetu potvrđen i indolni glukozinolat glukobrasicin (0,39 μmol/g). U ovom radu istražena je i termička razgradnja glukozinolata biljke D. tenuifolia korištenjem različitih metoda izolacije: hidrodestilacijom u modificiranoj aparaturi po Clevengeru (100 °C, 150 min), te destilacijom i ekstrakcijom potpomognutom mikrovalovima (500 W, 98 °C, 35 min). Hlapljivi spojevi analizirani GC-MS-om ukazuju da se glavni glukozinolat glukoerucin razlaže različito, tj. 4-(metilsulfanil)butil-izotiocijanat je bio glavni produkt dobiven hidrodestilacijom, dok je 5-(metilsulfanil)pentanonitril bio dominanatan razgradni produkt dobiven izolacijom potpomognutom mikrovalovima.Glucosinolates, β-thioglucoside-N-hydroxysulfates with variable side chains are secondary metabolites that are synthesized from amino acids. They were found in 16 families of Capparales. These compounds particularly belong to Brassicaceae family, which includes the most plants of everyday nutrition such as broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, turnip, radish and others. These compounds are chemically stable and biologically inactive. Damage to the tissue results in contact between the enzymes myrosinase and glucosinolates leading to their hydrolysis which creates a variety of biologically active breakdown products. In this diploma thesis, two plant species were studied Diplotaxis tenuifolia (L.) DC. and Matthiola incana (L.) R.Br. The aim of the study was to investigate the glucosinolate profile in various parts of D. tenuifolia and M. incana. Glucosinolates were identified by GC-MS analysis of their breakdown products and HPLC-DAD- MS/MS by analyzing desulfated glucosinolates. The same were quantified in different parts of plants according to the official ISO 9167-1 method based on the HPLC analysis of desulphoglucosinolates. Glucosinolates glucoerucin (5.62-15.85 μmol/g) and glucoraphanin (0.63-2.83μmol/g) were identified in all plant parts of D. tenuifolia (seed, leaf, stem, flower) identified. In all plant parts of M. incana (mussel, leaf, stem, flower), glucoraphenin (1.53-21.03 μmol/g) and glucoraphanin (tr-0.08 μmol/g) were identified, while indole glucosinolate glucobrassicin was confirmed in flower (0.39 μmol/g). In this study, the thermal decomposition of the glucosinolates of the D. tenuifolia plant was investigated using various isolation methods: hydrodistillation in a modified apparatus by Clevenger (100 ° C, 150 min) and distillation and extraction with microwaves (500 W, 98 ° C, 35 min). Volatile compounds analyzed by GC-MS indicate that the main glucosinolate glucoerucine is differently dissociated. 4- (methylsulfanyl) butyl isothiocyanate was the main product obtained by hydrodestillation, while 5- (methylsulfanyl) pentanonitrile was a dominant breakdown product obtained by micro-assisted isolation
